    Try slightly inflating your tube when you put it in the carcass before you use tyre levers to pop it back on. No real pressure, just enough to give it shape. This really helps you get the tyre back on without pinching the tube. Also putting the new tyre in some hot water for half an hour before you put it on makes the rubber much more pliable.

      This! I put the first bead on, get the tube situated and give it a little air, then you seat the second bead. You can use tools - I don't think I could have seated the bead on my Monster without big ass tire levers. Just have to be very careful and conscious of the inner tube while you do it, and that little bit of air really helps to keep it out of the way.

    I use reusable zip ties heavy duty 20"-25" long , no less than quarter inch wide , 3 or 4 ties . After insert iner tube gently squeeze the tire and insert zip tie between rim and iner tube on three or four equal places then Tighten Little by little till tire enter inside rim. Release all ties and inflate.

    I couldnt find the link that you mentioned from Amazon tire but as I looked it up it looks like the Vee Rubber 16×3" tire. Vee Rubber makes the famous and only one of a few mnfrs to make in a 36er unicycle tire, including the Nimbus Nightrider , Coker and QuAx King George tire. Many guys like it for 36er offroads. I have yet to try it. Im gonna order for both my unicycle now, in a 16" and a 36". Thanks for the tire suggestion, it does look similar to the Msuper tire, nice and rounded volume.

    When I swapped my Nikola to the CYT tire same as on the new tire on the 16X I had some weird oscillation that goes up and down when I went above 30mph. It was unbalanced. I had to let the air out and try to recenter the tire before inflating it. Eventually got the oscillation out, but it was a pain to change the tire on the Nikola. Definitely not as easy as on the KS 16X or 18's...

    Hi Mike,
    I've read on forums about the MMG P158 tire from Amazon, but, as you said, I couldn't find it anywhere. So I went for a Kenda K1122AX from AliExpress, which is also more rounded and has less gyroscopic effect, just like the P158. I hope this can help fellow 16" riders, especially now with the T4 coming 🙂
    Question to you: how did you get rid of the Nikola starting sound, that annoying ti-di-ta-da everytime it powers on? Just don't tell me you disconnected the speakers 🙄

    • @evXNYC
      @evXNYC  2 года назад

      I never had that sound. I recall when they first released it, the control boards had that sound, then they removed it on the 2nd batch of production. Maybe you have an OG control board or maybe they brought it back. Who knows.

Get everything off the rim beads then allow one tire bead to fall into the groove at the center of the rim. While holding the tire bead at some point in the groove, go to a point 180deg away and pull the tire bead over the rim or push it back, where ever you are in the process.
