    You nailed more hair metal sounds here than all the EVH amp demos in RUclips. Man, I didn't know this thing can do some modded Marshall sounds.

      The Mark 2c+ was a "go to" boutique amp back in the 80's during the hair metal heyday. Alot of the studio gunslingers had one in their arsenal. It was definitely used on rock and pop albums on the time period....not just Metallica. :)

      The Mark IIC+ through cabs loaded with 300 watt EVM12L Pro-Line speakers was a quite tried and tested combination for 80s hair metal bands.
      You can achieve the same results by pairing the JP-2C with a cab loaded with EVM12L Black Label speakers. The EVM12L Black Label is the re-issue of the old EVM12L Pro-Line speakers.

    Best demo of this amp on youtube so far. Thanks for making a straightforward video without double kick backing tracks and endless talking like most of them. Sounds killer.

      I have to agree man. Most videos of this amp utilize the cab clone and...... it doesn't properly portray what this amp can do

    Definitely the most useful demo of this amp on YT! Great work!

    I really wanted this Amp. I tried it out at Sweetwater. It was just too much for my budget. I ended up buying a Mesa Nomad100 and running an Empress ParaEQ in the fx loop along with a Boss NS-2 at the input and also connected the NS-2 in the fx loop with the Para EQ. I has the fx loop modded to serial. I put 12ay7 tubes at V1& V2. Run it 50watts. I use a Two Notes Torpedo Captor 8 send out to stereo fx and into Stereo Two Notes Torpedo Cab M plus DI boxes. Sounds killer, I use a Maxon 808 as needed. I borrowed the concept of using a 2nd EQ. I only use my Graphic EQ for lead boost. I do really like the JP 2C. I also use an EVH 5150 III 50 watt EL34 head I'm a similar setup with an ISP Decimator G micro pedal to tame the noise. I use a post volume boost after the 2nd Two Notes Torpedo Captor 8 Y'd to Stereo fx. I just use an A/B box at the inputs of each head. I am glad I at least have Two really nice 3ch. Tube amps now.

      Thanks man, I appreciate it. Probably one of my most popular videos I've done. I personally think its boring as hell lol! What makes it so good to you and I'll keep it in mind for my future vids?

      @@BPToneReview I have been searching for more info on how the amp sounds. I have a Mark IV and was thinking of a JP2C. Watching how you change settings while playing gives me an idea on how it changes the tone. I don't have to skip through the video to get right to the point. :) after this one I watched a few more of yours like the prs amp and they are well done.

      @@woodward_alan thanks Alan! I have one in progress of the Bogner I’m working on. It’s more professional with nifty editing. Takes a lot of work. Not sure I have the time or drive to do this every week like some do. Check out the teaser and tell me what you think. ruclips.net/video/zIJmY-mDDqU/видео.html

      @@BPToneReview I checked it out. The editing was great! Here are some things to consider (I'm not a professional). The light from those big windows. They create a neat effect but also can get in the way at times. Your voice is quietier in comparison to the audio (I usually watch on my Samsung phone). When you play sitting down, we get a lot of legs with that angle. Maybe keep the amp next to or behind you while playing. Looking forward to seeing the rest :)

    Does the jp-2c have that awesome immediate quick attack, but still awesome feel under the fingers that older Mk amps had? I had a mk4 back in 2005 and miss that. Right now I am kinda tone questing again (happens every few years...) and the only keeper I have is my trusty 101b....which is fairly different to a Mark.

    • @BPToneReview
      @BPToneReview  4 года назад +1

      SluggerStark I’ve had 2 101b, a xtc classic and now have a xtc 20th, love love Bogner and the xtc line. I had a revision A and revision B Mark IV and a Mark III black stripe. This amp is flat out amazing.

      Thanks for the reply, Brent! I love the Ecstasy as well. Mine is an old mid 90's one and is one of my faves. That said, two of my other favorite previously owned amps were a VHT Pittbull UL and my old mk 4. Both had that tight, quick attack that you really only get from those amps. I will definitely check out a jp2c though; sounds right up my alley!

    How is the attack compared to other boogies? I understand this was modelled after JPS 2c+ 100watt not the simulcast... Nice demo. Thx 😊

    • @BPToneReview
      @BPToneReview  4 года назад +4

      ken masters attack is super tight and percussive. It’s pretty typical of a Mark series as long as you dial it in right with little to no bass on the tone controls and make up for it on the GEQ.

    • @0megalul309
      @0megalul309 2 года назад

      100 watt is more percussive than simulclass due to no class a in 100 watt. but less complex sound.
