This video really got me thinking about how we often overconsume and accumulate more than we actually need. It makes me consider all the clutter I could clear out! Personally, I can relate to the ice cube trays; I have quite a few that are unused. Thank you so much for sharing your insights I really enjoyed the video!

Brilliant video! Finally, somebody is talking about common sense which is not common anymore, unfortunately.

Great video! I definitely find myself wanting to buy and try new things occasionally thanks to social media but like you mentioned some things are actually so practical and worth it! Just have to think about what I’ll work for you before you add to cart!

Definitely! Not gonna lie, there have been things I bought cuz of social media and thought - okay sometimes I should believe the hype 😅

The ice cube trays! I just got rid of them. My 11 yo wanted them, she used it for about a month and then it was in the drawer for a year.

Ohh didn’t know kids that little were getting them too although it makes more sense for them 😅 But yes I can’t imagine them being used very often

You made a really good point about original food containers… I definitely noticed that when I would decant, let’s say Oreo cookies into a clear acrylic food container that apparently was supposed to be airtight…
I noticed things would go stale!
We have to remember that these major companies that are selling us a bag of chips or Oreo cookies or orange juice… They have perfected the container that your food item is in.
When you take it out of its original container, it’s more likely to spoil !
I find it funny that this over consumerism that people buying all this stuff wouldn’t actually be proud of the container that it came in to show off the brand of the food item or the Bath and beauty product that they bought lol 😂
I’m even going back to bar soap ! It’s so much cheaper and it takes up a lot less space

lol true! I think it goes back to the aesthetics.. The colourful packaging is nice in-store and needed to attract customers. But at home it does look that great. So I get why people are tempted to decant.
Okay personally I find soap bars create a mess cuz of the soapy residue. But yes they're simpler for sure. Definitely wouldn't pass the aesthetic vibe check haha!

I did not know decanting was a thing; in fact, that seems like more work. You have to wash and dry the containers well before pouring in the drink when you can just use its original bottle. I recall seeing acrylic containers at someone's house and thought to myself how the homeowner is so organized, but filling the entire fridge with containers isn't practical. Designer coffee table books used to store tv remotes is new to me lol! I find the DIY frame tv so extra, and I wonder isn't the extra weight around the tv harmful? Storing certain snacks, like Oreos or Chips Ahoy, that come in plastic wraps without seals are handy to store in air tight containers.

Hi 👋! I totally agree with everything you said. My model for stuff is “bring something in take something out”. I’m more of a thrifter than trendy cheap stuff. And I don’t believe in repackaging containers. Stupid in my opinion.

Perfumes are also which everyone likes but don't have to buy so many like every celebrity has their Perfumes and end up having so many which can't be used by one person for 10 years I also love Perfumes and have so many 😅
