I have 3 books on a console like this, a history book about Egypt, one of Monet and one of Michelangelo, I have a T-rex skull (not real, ovbs) on top, a cool bettle on a glass jar and a desert rose stone. They are there cos they are too friking tall and do not fit on my shelves with the rest of their comrades 😂

I did not know decanting was a thing; in fact, that seems like more work. You have to wash and dry the containers well before pouring in the drink when you can just use its original bottle. I recall seeing acrylic containers at someone's house and thought to myself how the homeowner is so organized, but filling the entire fridge with containers isn't practical. Designer coffee table books used to store tv remotes is new to me lol! I find the DIY frame tv so extra, and I wonder isn't the extra weight around the tv harmful? Storing certain snacks, like Oreos or Chips Ahoy, that come in plastic wraps without seals are handy to store in air tight containers.

The only things I really decant are things like flour/sugar/salt/rice as I buy in bulk and it helps prevent moths/bugs to put them in sealed containers instead of those paper/cheap bags they come in.
