I’m mean within reason, you can’t put much pressure. It will be fine and adhere well with good pressure. You wont be able to ruin the rubber with your own strength
Rub it off with your fingers, use your thumbs - the friction will remove the glue and the blade will be as good as new. Takes about 5 min. Or less to do
does this work the same for regluing a rubber? a bit of the rubber on my racket is coming off and i want to know if its worth regluing the entire thing or just the part thats not sticking?

Firmly in every direction possible, use a roller like the butterfly one depicted in the video. The rubber may have dips or waves after applying because of the sponge. Although, the rubber should work its way smooth after 2-3 days. I have had this happen to me a couple times and the rubber always smooths out. Lmk how is goes/ went..
Be confident as possible on the cut. Smooth and steady. Consistent pressure. Each time you will get better. When I first posted this video, it was only my third time cutting rubber. Btw - I prefer an exacto knife
First layer was thick yes, it’s just my preference. And a lighter second is necessary or once again preference. Thick first layer makes it feel boosted
No, I have never sealed my blade because I’m afraid it will change the characteristics of the blade. I know it protects the blade when changing rubbers although, the cons still outweigh the pros for me, even if it psychological.
Hi, I wouldn’t use wood glue. But a lot of players use “Elmers rubber cement glue” - it’s very cheap, has a speed glue effect and comes off easy. Good luck

Doing mine right now. Thanks for the tip!
What is the brush you are using?
+very informative video, good job!
thank you this is much better than every other tutorial!
Thank you for the video. One question though. After rolling out the rubber, how much do you wait before cutting?
Good question! 0 minutes - cut right away

@@dfy Yeah I guess you are right.
I doubt why leave the old glue?
I peeled off the old rubber, but some old glue is still unevenly stuck to the blade. That can't be good. How do I get it off?
A thin layer of rubber, actually, in blotches all over the blade.
Rub it off with your fingers, use your thumbs - the friction will remove the glue and the blade will be as good as new. Takes about 5 min. Or less to do

Which glue we have to put
www.megaspin.net/store/default.asp?pid=b-free-chack-pro-ii-50
Why does the glue have to dry?
That’s a good question. It’s just how the glue works and bonds. If left wet it probably won’t cure correctly and not dry if applied wet
@@dfy thanks I just built my first table tennis raquet and it turned out good thanks to your video.
Drying time after second coat or immediately put on blade?
About 10-15 min. Should feel dry but sticky to the touch
Thank you, very helpful!

Hey you were talking about Elmer's glue does it not affect the rubber ?
www.megaspin.net/store/default.asp?pid=b-free-chack-pro-ii-50
what did you use to spread out the glue?
A glue application sponge

How do you get the rubber surface nice and smooth? Mine is wavy on my latest paddle.

Your first layers of glue were quite thick already, no? Was the second layer a good idea?
First layer was thick yes, it’s just my preference. And a lighter second is necessary or once again preference. Thick first layer makes it feel boosted
I see. Do you think a hard sponge rubber like Xiom Omega V Asia would be ok with 1 layer like your first layer, or should I do 2?
@@dbweb.creative Do two thin layers, always two layers
It’s like painting a wall, always 2 coats - Whatever surface area you miss in the first coat you’ll for sure get in the second coat
