Brilliant, just in time! This is the video that I've been looking for. Will apply this to my tennis bat tonight at the pub

Is the glue used specially meant for the rubber and bat? Can I use the stationary-type glue (white paste type)?

Yeah it's a special table tennis bat glue www.ebay.co.uk/itm/295220352991?chn=ps&_ul=GB&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=295220352991&targetid=2361039923645&device=m&mktype=pla&googleloc=1006567&poi=&campaignid=21697381820&mkgroupid=170109506289&rlsatarget=pla-2361039923645&abcId=10027101&merchantid=7460474&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwj4K5BhDYARIsAD1Ly2pcRbOpgNscCih30tK8V_uJZ6g1wEoJlMmkOS2ZXTCu2QGa5eVGwJ4aAu0iEALw_wcB (now I really wish I have an affiliate link) - this is the one used in the video

Great question (and it's a shame I don't have an affiliate link) - I think Ricardo got them from a place like Ali Express, one of the import sites!

The revolution official channel guy puts on a whole bunch more glue on the rubber - have you tried with more glue?

Thanks for the comment 🙂 There were two layers applied but I did a skip in the edit so you didn't see it all drying. Coin sized amounts of glue were spread twice on the bat and rubbers.
It was filmed back in Feb and, touch wood, it hasn't started coming off yet ✌️🏓

I see everyone is saying it is not good to use PVA glue and I need to use TT glue. But you all use techniques that that are trademark of PVA glue. Furniture makers does the same things when they laminate vaneer. I'm under strong impression that TT glue is simply thinned out PVA glue.

Thanks for the comment. It's true that the techniques are similar and I was chatting to Ricardo about your comment at practice last night. He actually tried PVA glue when he first started making his own bats and it certainly isn't advisable to do. The rubber and wood are two very different materials and the TT glue developed has been tweaked to ensure they suit both, stick with (pun intended) TT glue! ✌️🏓
