A good idea with fixed base seats doc is to put in a anderson connector to the rear of the car. Good for checking the battery or connecting a charger. You can also make up a set of jump leads with a anderson connector on the opposite end so in the event you need a jump or need to give a jump, you have that capability without having to remove the seat. Don't forget an isolator switch.
They look amazing and perfect colour choice to match the Keswick green. Very neat job with switch’s too. I think I’d be walking past the disco 5 everyday to drive the defender !
As usual, Marcus, this is a great video. I noticed your aftermarket foot pedals for the brake, clutch and accelerator. Can you kindly share the link for these? I'd love to get them for my Defender.
Hey Doc! Nice job but..OEM chairs with leather upholstery and cognac color, same like yours, works much better ( in my opinion of course) - more classic! Anyway, my suggestion for the next step would be to remove the bulkhead and install a steel bar instead. BTW, I have another tip for your, and mine, future upgrade.. this however, I will disclose at a later time. Now pease enjoy your new settings. Cheers 😉
Those seats look very nice, and your right they are not cheap! Personally I would have gone for the tip up seat bases as you never know when you will have to remove the battery cables quickly, especially if your at the side of the road. Just be carefull someone doesn't spill coffee or cola over those switches on the cubby box. Sugary drinks will not do them any favours. Of course now you will have to decide if you want to fit rear seats again, with the extra expense of buying matching units. Is the ORE wheel carrier going to be the next job?
Thanks Tony- yes the tip up bases would have been nice but quite a bit extra to buy so thought I’d just live with having to take my seat out if I need the battery. Someone mentioned having an Anderson connector there to somewhere out the seat box which is a good idea
That's really nice! Looks quite difficult job!? That holes on the seat for racing seat belts? Very very $exy indeed! Should I sell my bad kidney to unsuspected recipients?
You need to have your steering wheel the same colour. Great upgrades.
Stonking! Great colour combo.
🙏🏼🙏🏼
Doc, congratulations buddy, she’s looking an absolute beauty, you are doing a fantastic job Sir!
Kind regards
Tony
Cheers Tony appreciate that 👌🏻👌🏻
Love the green and tan combo, Marcus. Really nice seats 👏
Cheers! Really happy with them 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Doc.
Perfect match for the car. Neat job fitting the switches as well. I also shared your excitement.

Thansk Malcolm 🙏🏼
WOW ! Looks fantastic, a massive improvement ! You made a really clever, good job of fitting the switches. 👍🏻💙
Cheers Dave appreciate that

I did this. I have the Anderson connector under the front bumper
Great idea that Landie Man- I did have a reason to go in the battery yesterday which was a real pain to be fair
What color is your cars paint? Is it a stock color? Looks great!
Keswick green- it’s factory
That setup just looks fantastic. Glad you found some seats that you like. And the place of the buttons is just perfect I think.
Thanks Jan really appreciate it 👌🏻
Great looking seats! The extra height of the cubby makes all the difference for your elbow!
Thanks Michael- yes much prefer the position for driving
Hi Doc just something to protect centre box put soft velcro on seat belt holder hope this is useful.
Great tip thanks!
Great choice. Neat button fitment too.
Thanks 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Stunning seats Marcus. Excellent contrast to the green. Nicely fitted too, cheers from Lofty.
Cheers Lofty!

Haha I have done a few times now, thanks!
They look awesome, love the colour combination
Cheers Richard 👌🏻
Great job, Doc! Very nice choices and your wiring skills are impressive.
Thanks Jerry- let’s see how long the wiring job lasts!
They look great Doc. Make sure you have some felt around your seatbelt buckle, or it will rub the console.
Good tip- will do 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Loved the old seats way more than the new once 🙈
Now for a brown steering wheel cover as well... Very neat seats....
Thanks- I have been thinking of getting the steering wheel Retrim we
Hi doc, great new seats etc , love recaro seats had those in my rover 820 vitesse turbo , another great video. Regards mark
Lucari not Recaro 😜
Thanks Mark!
Beautiful
Looks very nice
Thanks 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Expensive stuff Lucari
It is but worth it in my opinion!

Thanks! I prefer the full bucket seat look personally (perfectly suited to a defender 😂)
Interested to hear your tip…

Did u sit in the recaros before buying these ?
Looks great. Love the seats. Is the Keswick paint original from the factory or have you had a respray?
What an upgrade. Fantastic one. If you're Planning to sell the removed one. Pls let me know. I have d90 and always watching your videos. Cheers
👌🏻
Love the seats! Tan and green combo look quality. Also are your old exmoor's available?
Thanks! Keeping them for now…
Very nice if want to get rid of your old seats I’ll have them !
Will let you know if I do- keeping them for now 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Look great!! Are they still live with ignition off? If so must remember to turn off
I have actually since swapped the wiring so they are live on ignition as I was worried about leaving them
On
Let’s hope you don’t need to get to your battery very often. Is your jack still in the battery box?
It’s not… the Jack isn’t even in the defender which isn’t great - think I’ll mount it behind the seats.
i am going to buy one of them seats for my office chair
😂 would look
Great to be fair
@@thedoctorsgarage and it will warm me up a little bit
Does it drive better?
Like a race car 😂
That's really nice! Looks quite difficult job!? That holes on the seat for racing seat belts? Very very $exy indeed! Should I sell my bad kidney to unsuspected recipients?
Wasn’t too bad to be fair- it’s the wiring that takes a bit of thinking but not too bad
Looks great but the seat are WRONG 😅
Looks fantastic well please 4 ya.
Cheers mate
