@@AgcobilePhaphamaPoswayou can train as hard as you want you just have to recover as hard as u train doesn’t matter how much you train. kobe used to train a bunch of times a day but he recovers between training sessions. i remember i watched a video saying he woke up at 3 had a workout at 4 to 6 then went home recovered had breakfast and had another training session at 9 to 11 then did recovery and went back to train at 2 to 4 then recovery then train from 6 to 8 then sleep at 9. you don’t have to go that far but i just mean recovery as hard as you train

Rule 1: diversify and generalisation. This is SO crucial for young athletes whose bodies are still growing and changing. It also keeps a sense of fun and play alive for them.
    So much good advice here

Finding your failure is like finding a new path, it's a path that will help you grow as an athlete it will help you set goals that you never would of thought, it helps you study what you need to do better and in the end you wont regret it. You will be happy for embracing and tackling that failure unlike many others who experience it and give up.

I'm from Singapore,it is a rather...bad environment for footballers, though there are academies, and a small amount of sports schools for teens, becoming pro in this very "school-academics-based" country is extremely tough,I believe I rolled a 1 on the dice when I was born, but I'm willing to work as hard as I can to make a difference, thanks alot Sam! ❤

Sam, as you know I’m a fan!
From a purely personal perspective, in my opinion, this is by far my personal favourite video you have shared!
So much in this that I recognise! Not just personally but professionally!
Like RIo, I was a dancer. Similarly, many peoples choice as GOAT in my own sport of Olympic shooting, was also a dancer. Dancers understand balance, which for me is the central tenet for most, if not all physical activities.
As a boy I had another hobby. I had only one dream, to become World Champion, at Senior level. I worked, pushed the boundaries, suffered some broken bones, but I achieved it not once but 4 times! Dancing and balance significantly helped that dream.
So thank you, not only did I find myself nodding at your commentary, but I recognised so much of it in a younger Jeff.
Now a performance professional, it’s what I aspire to realise in others!
Thank you for evoking so many memories!!!

Why is the philosophy of generalisation and later specialisation not very public and well known despite it having so much benefit? I am 19 years old and I never knew of the generalisation model by David Epstein until now which led me specialising in one sport at only 12 years of age
