    I started journaling back in 2021 and it has helped me so much with the mental side of the game. It’s also very nice to look back on them and seeing how much you improved.

    Gratitude journaling is very helpful especially for day to life, there are so many obstacles and bumpy paths in everyone's day and sometimes it is better to just step back and appreciate the good we have done today, the things we have improved on today so that we can do better tomorrow. Very good video 💯

    Great content as always! I started Brazilian Jiu Jitsu a little over a year ago, and have competed before. Unfortunately, i seem to subconsciously put people who are similar to my skill level above me and this has been hindering my performance. Do u have any tips to stop seeing people who may be slightly better than me or were better than me as way better athletes than me?

      Overcoming the mental challenge of perceiving similar-skilled individuals as superior can be tough. Try shifting your mindset by acknowledging their strengths as opportunities for learning, and remind yourself of the progress you've made in the past year. Celebrate your achievements and concentrate on continuous improvement rather than comparison.

      @SamMartinPeakPerformance  6 месяцев назад +1

      If you want. Depends on what the mental block is / how deep it is etc
      All of these are just general prompts you can completely personalise 👍

    My individual skills are at very decent level for my age and at tranings I usually make a lot of mistakes but in maches I often play really well, do you know why?

    • @SamMartinPeakPerformance
      @SamMartinPeakPerformance  6 месяцев назад +1

      In training it's often the case you "think" more because you're doing drills/ practicing new skills. This can slow things down/ make your movement a bit more clunky etc. And in games you naturally rely on instinct a bit more
