    Your videos are great and I really enjoy watching them over the time you release them. Have you ever considered sticking them together as a full length documentary after you have aired them on RUclips? I (and I’m sure many others) would really enjoy

    • @lifeislikesailing
      @lifeislikesailing  5 лет назад

      Thanks so much and yes, we have talked about creating a feature length documentary about our travels on the coast and still figuring out ways to put that together. For now, once all episodes in a series are posted I usually make a PLAYLIST of that series so that the viewers could watch the series from start to finish with the playlist automatically playing the next episode until the playlist is done. :)

    Can't wait for the rest of the series to come out. I didn't think selling Moonshine would have even been an option, even if you were up in Yellowknife for a few years. The boat is such a big star of your channel, (and from the sound of things, part of who you are as well.) Safe journeys where ever your adventures take you!

    • @lifeislikesailing
      @lifeislikesailing  5 лет назад

      We are excited to share the rest of the journey with everyone and yes, selling Moonshine has never been something I want to do as she has a very special place in our lives. But I guess some people thought with the move north and brining the boat south that maybe that was the plan. With all that said, I have still looked at larger sailboats from time to time as most sailors do. haha

    I just found your channel this morning. Watched a couple of videos including inside tour (excellent video tour - Jan. 2016, I think) and the January 2018 year end. Will watch all videos eventually. My wife and I are one hour north of Toronto and are retired. I am attempting to entice her into a boat life. Not surprized you are a 'Horseman' and I understand the 'debriefing' time. Good you take your kids away with you and are getting on with it. I have watched sailing videos and think 40+ feet is good for two. We had a 28 foot 5th wheel trailer and that can be 'close' on a rainy day. I love the fact you insulated the hull. Thanks for the editing info. AIS would be good but I respect the improvement costs and the space required for more batteries, generator, water-maker, more fuel and solar. Do not know if C&C has a skegged rudder but I lean that way. Love watching Canadians video their adventures as we need more 'esprit de corps'. Be safe and enjoy your cool Moonshine. Will watch more. Cheers.

      So glad you found our channel and so great to hear that you have enjoyed some of the episodes already. The work life balances so important and I enjoy every moment away from work and with family for sure. :) It has been a fun journey with the career and with the sailing adventures and I hope you can get a boat if that is the direction you both decide to go. :)
      I hope you'll find more episodes to enjoy here on the channel and we'll be safe on the water for sure. :) Alfy & Devlin

    Welcome home to Moonshine! Good to be back? Am I seeing correctly, summer weather in Pt. Rupert includes rain and judging from you wearing heavy clothing, it is a cold rain?
    Enjoyed traveling along with you both during your vacation! Canada and Canadians are very special, friendly and more than able. I've learned so much about sailing since subscribing to your channel. Perhaps I'm now able to join you and become an addition to Moonshine's able crew! Good luck and keep 'em coming!!

    Alfy & Devlin,
    Here I go again, binge watching this series. It’s like crack (wouldn’t really know) for crackhead sailor (which I’ll admit, just might be my problem).
    I can see the big grin Alfy had at the Yellow Knife airport... He was trying to act like it’s: ‘it’s really no big deal.’ Don’t ever play poker for money! You have a huge flashing neon ‘Tel’, which is so obvious to everyone. You couldn’t wait to get back to Moonshine! Devlin should be jealous.
    I guess I would be too... but you still may need to reassure Devlin that she’s the center of your universe. Anyways, I really love your adventures. Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year to both of you aboard Northern Dancer! Rand

    Good to see you back at the boat,, i must admit that I haven't been watching the north of 60 videos, but I'm saying subscribed waiting for more Moonshine story's (boat videos that is). So I must say that the news about this video series is highly appreciated.
    But in the mean time I am working hard making boat fixing videos in my quest for my own sailboat and learning to..... Sorry bad choice of words trying to figure out how to sail by my self.
    So if. You miss your boat while beeing north of 60 feel free to check out my videos about boat struggles,,,, that should cure any longing for beeing on a boat ( or at least dampening it a bit)

      @@lifeislikesailing I appreciate that, and I'll be sure to check out your sailing videos. I enjoy them mostly because of the quality and the coastline you are sailing. I'm a true west coast Norwegian so my favourite climatic conditions 14 degree Celsius, nice breeze and some light rain.(i think that is the conditions in many of your videos).. Also the scenery and surroundings is really nice.
      And one more thing I'd like to give you credit for is that you never seem to try and make stuff sound bigger , more dramatic or in anyway adding on to make things more interesting. I admire these qualities very much. Best regards Jarle
