Thank you! These dudes are actually trying to progress the sport, the bias with Scotty for no reason is insane that 86 run to me was better. And the minute that dude starts getting triples on lock and a full run it'll force all the other riders to do the same.
I think thats what Kaishu was saying by airing 23 feet out of the pipe on his final run when he was in 2nd and could have won it. Ive already put down a better run than the guy in first twice so wy do it again lol. Went out smiling too. Total class act

Yeah the judges and commentators are all friends with a lot of the American riders, so they can do the same thing as a foreign rider and just not get the recognition for it, it's really sad, it's mostly a popularity contest but at least it's still fun to watch.
7:55 the way Ayumu lands sideways then goes 1.6 feet out on the next hit and somehow gains so much speed and goes so high on the next… so much talent. I swear his runs through the pipe are quieter than anyone else, you can barely hear his board cutting through the snow. He has so much style and speed even through the flat. Dude you nice.

Watched this live last night, on re-watch still a sham. It's a shame how blatant the bias was in this judging, they did Shigeno in particular super dirty on his first 2 runs. Hirano should have had a comparable score to Scotty (both were 90-91s) and likely won. Xgames judging just pushes the name they want to win for sponsorship and clicks in the western market. Really sad this competition has lost integrity.
I 100% agree! Those Japanese riders have way more technical tricks and go bigger than Scotty James every time, but they favor Scotty for, politically, the wrong reasons. Not fair to the riders going bigger. So sad
@@joshtaz It's an unfortunate thing that happens when sport is a business sadly. At least we have international events now elsewhere to somewhat provide more fair contest than xgames at this point.

I've said this in previous years... can't see exactly what the riders are doing at night with black background and riders wearing dark colour clothing. It takes away from their performances and sucks from a visual aspect for people watching on TV.
