I see a lot of people saying that Nico was robbed. Well. The way i see it , it's like this : Nico INDEED had the MOST STYLISH runs and that mid pipe carve back to the same wall is INSANE. BUT , the technical difficulty isn't even CLOSE to the Alex's last run. Doing THAT run (Alex) with that amount of control and making look like it was a walk in the park it's NOTHING less than SUPERB ! Peace
Congrats, Alex! Met you at the Grateful Deli before the race and you could not have been nicer and appreciative of all the support. You are Aspen’s hometown rockstar! Keep crushing it!!!!

Has X Games fallen off a lot in terms of popularity in the last decade? I remember insane crowds at ski superpipe and slope finals through the 2000's glory days... there's like 50 people there now.

Stopped watching when they gave Porteous a 71 for that creative run. Half pipe is the hardest discipline to get creative at. XGames judges scoring like its the Olympics, sad...
bro took home silver when he landed a run where he actually made his grabs...

Nico’s run was incredible! Something never been done, has crazy tech with two 1260s, and has solid air. I think Nico’s best definitely should’ve beaten Ferreira’s first run but idk about his best run. It’s basically the most well executed tech run ever (Alex’s) vs super unique with decent tech.
To play devils advocate, for all their talk about X games moving towards style, there is no judging criteria for style and creativity/innovation. X games should add these two into the criteria with decent weightings, leave the spin to win for the world cup and olympics and structure the judging to push the competitors to more stylish/creative tricks. It will push the spot in different ways to the mainstream judging that is frankly getting a bit stale and boring...
