Rene is easily my favorite snowboarder rn. That hand slide on the rail solidified it. This dude just has so much style.

Mark hasn’t deserved Many of the scores he’s got in the past. So many bobbles and hands touching down. I don’t hate Mark, I hate the BS judges
Regardless of if it's the actual winner or not, a thumbnail of one of the competitors holding a medal is a really bad idea for a thumbnail

Mark getting a 95 in the first run is crazy. So happy for Red, even though a threepeat would have been awesome. Really great competition

Even he said it... 'They were very generous to me... I can clean it up'. Glad he said what we were all thinking, not his fault they put him over Red but that was extremely wack.
I find that everyone does literally better than Mark. Better and more unique rail section with 1620 ande 1800. Mark did the same run 3 years ago and you just can't tell difference, because nothing has happened. We have seen all of his tricks so many times. And then you see riders like Tiarn Collins who get 84 from better run (with cab 1800). My conclusion is that judging sucks hard or is corrupted. There's just no other explanation. Maybe they get money by doing this. Or maybe they just don't understand the tricks.
Yeah. Idk seems weird to me. 95???!! Um ok... then after 3rd run you can see him hand gesture, that the judges better give it to Red. Do the brothers have an in with the judges. Wouldn't surprise me after all these years. Hmm? Conspiracy shredding. Hah🤫
Don't get me wrong Mark has definitely deserved it in the past, but it's getting pretty blatant with the favoritism.
I think the judges feel pressure to reward Mark kind of like they did with SW just because they’re stars and because of all the sponsor money implications

Would love to see the breakdown of scores from the judges. Mark and Red's rail game was weak compared to the others, seems the whole score came down to the bottom 2 jumps.

Mark didn't deserve his score even with bottom 2 jumps. He didn't do 1800s. Many others did.

Just got to say this has been the best changes in a very long time, judging, riding, weather, and of course we can’t forget about women’s knuckle buck as well as the new street park competition giving riders from different disciplines more eyes.
Marks first run had hand drags and a mediocre rail section compared to mons and Gerard. I do t think I can justify a 95 on that

Mark must have some good friends in the judge panel.
Maybe the judges wigged out and thought he actually busted out an 1800 on the last jump? Or they’re just in such a habit of giving him a high score they did it without thinking

Marks first run wasnt worth 95.33 it waa a 91 max the same with his last run 96 the judges were way too generous. Renne was my favourite by far style and original tricks for days.

Rene always kills, but also gets wildly underrated scores… it’s like creativity, variety and doing different tricks from other competitors is pretty much worthless.
But a frontside spin followed by a backside spin , or the reverse, is somehow the most amazing thing since slicing bread with a sharp carving 😞😞😞
Why did no one say a thing about Rene's handslide? Maybe it isn't the most technical trick, but the STYLE

The slopestyle is so difficult, you can do everything in your arsenal but still it's not certain you are going to win because there are two certain guys Mark and Marcus who can do mad things on that 3rd run. Everyone is so good but two beat these two you need something special and that was special. What a run.

We have runs like Renes first, there is supposedly a judge out for creativity.. and then these competitions always goes to the cookie cutter gymnastics?
Like in every comp they talked about the creaticity aspect and when somebody did somethin creative they got shitty scores

I think we’ve hit our limits boys. The stress levels on judges, commentators and riders seems obvious. Slopestyle gonna change next year.

I love Mark Mcmorris, hes my favorite rider and the reason i started snowboarding in tge first place. But it did seem like some bias judging towards him. I can appreciate that he acknowledged it tho by saying the judges were generous and how it could be cleaned up.

Marks rail game was trash compared to most of the other riders, and that should be 50% of their score since it's half the course. These judges should be fired.
McMorris wins gold medal in most injuries.
