When I could manage to get under cars, I used to change the oil & filter every 4,000 Miles even though the manufacturer would say 9,000 Miles. Now the cars have such long serviice intervals no wonder the engines on certain cars don't last even 100,000 Miles.
Love the videos and love the mat Armstrong ending too😂keep it up mate, great length videos and proper explanations of things. Sorry to hear about your van, Unfortunately, our work relay keeps having issues with the DPF and AdBlue delivery so you aren't on your own, But DIY and going through the issues one by one (like you do already) will get you there
Another great video lads. The dpf issue could possibly be the dpf sensor and the hose being blocked that goes from the sensor to the dpf it self. David
That Mokka service interval should be yearly or 12k miles, there are also 2types of oil filter for it UFI & HENGST the UFI filter has a bypass valve on the top of the filter and is £40+ from the dealer, and should be using Dexos2 oil.
If yr van has done around 100k Check your PAT fluid level you should see it on live data. The tank is located under the passenger door step 2 mins to remove it. Top it up 2 to 3 litres and reset it. I’ve done quite a few now 👍
@@themarvelousvlog yes they defo have them. I didn’t realise at first . Had one that drove me mad trying to work out why it wouldn’t regen by itself. Hope this is yr problem (in a nice way 👍)
You replaced the mokka one for a regular cabin filter it came with the activated charcoal filter thats partly why it was black obviously it was dirty anyway but the charcoal helps it to filter better
As a mechanic, it’s bugging me to find out what’s wrong behind the DPF. The DPF/Adblue is not the issue. It’s something else, I wanna know what it is 😂
My Peugeot boxer with 380,000 miles on it three batteries and a starter motor, that’s all it’s had bar regular servicing, so yea unreliable heaps of junk
The dpf is either dpf pressure sensor not working or not working correctly, vaporizer blocked or a boost leak, i did see outside temp on dash so not mirror
Weird because we limped for 200 miles, left it to stand over night, deleted the code and now it’s ’unblocked’. Making me think that it is the sensor/pipes. The rest of the stuff is new (no vaporiser on this). 100% no boost leak either
Hi Guys Love the videos can i ask whats your opinion or do u see many Automatic Vito MBenz looking to buy 1 but i hear lots of bad expensive repairs for Mbenz
We don’t see much as there is not a lot of Auto Vito out there (commercial ones anyway). I do know though from fellow mechanics that the 7G gearbox is no good as they are prone break due to the module inside the gearbox
If your dpf is new on your van ,,You need to do a recalibration with a good scan tool to tell the ecu a new one has been fitted,Also with Peugeot /Citroen ,When the mileage gets to about 120 130k it will automatically tell you your dpf has reached the end of life,,There is actually nothing wrong with it,,Just needs to be cleaned and the dpf mileage reset to 0,,It's built in planned obsolescence,,,Much better to clean the dpf on the van with spray cleaner ,,regens are not good for the dpf..
Ours would go into limp mode all the time engine light and would come up with the dpf light, got dpf delete and it’s not had a problem since the dpf light still comes on but no limp mode or anything
Why don't you get a volkswagen transporter with 2.0 TDI engine? Those vans in general never have any problems those 1.4 corsas stop these corsas lobe their headgaskets replaced my both mates corsa bang gone. The only way ive found for peugeot dpfs to be fixed is deleting the dpf
@DarkReaper-or9el dpf delete will not solve the issue as there is an underlying issue that needs to be solved first. Whatever is causing the dpf to block is likely to be bigger
You need a sprinter We have 5 of them some with 300k Original engine just general maintenance A Citroen would last a week with hard use 😂 Your only doing 1 or 2 trips a day light weight in back hardly asking much of a van and its still got engine lights on
@themarvelousvlog Same reason I've been keeping my 07 renault megane going for so long. It's falling apart but kept on top of everything and it still drives OK and passes MOT. Just getting tatty now
@@themarvelousvlog it's jus a crx civic type thing that was popular in high school and still thinks it's popular lmao by the way love how the Italian van is living up to its reputation Fiat fix it again tomorrow

I can’t believe people leave oil changes so long, I do mine yearly and my main car does less than 2K
I’m with John on the del Sol cool car 👍

You guys need to start a ‘Buy me a Crafter’ page. 🤣

Dpf pressure sensor faulty I recon mate or vaporiser
“Mobile mechanic calls mobile mechanic from hwy emergency phone” lol😂
😂😂😂
I know, just seems all wrong init,
Laughing me
XF brakes don’t warp it’s pad transfer onto the disc
Great vid guys. Give orileys auto he top bloke for dpf issues and cleaning he on your tube give him a call he will sort it out for ya
Been in-touch with him directly, we can’t figure it out except for a suspected knackered engine/turbo

@driftrkart I might sound daft here but I swear these 2.0L Adblue Relays don’t have them? I might be wrong

I’m aware of that but I know what carbon activated ones look like, and even then,’it doesn’t look anywhere close as this 😂
When do you get your new van?
Map dpf out and addblue problem sorted

Done all of that mate. I think I found the issue. Empty PAT fluid maybe 🤷🏽♂️
There is Honda Del Sol on Auto Trader
Dpf replaced, did you reset mileage counter for dpf?
Absolutely. This fault is caused by an underlying issue and has nothing to do with the dpf at all. More investigation is needed for sure
Ours would go into limp mode all the time engine light and would come up with the dpf light, got dpf delete and it’s not had a problem since the dpf light still comes on but no limp mode or anything
did john have to do a college course or are you teaching him
Genuine or after market DPF
funny i phoned and ask for help from these guy in the biggin hill area did not want to know...watched now there in crawley? then eastbourne?
Text me bud. Just need have few jobs booked in your area otherwise it won’t be worth it for us

I’ve spoken to master techs from VW, I don’t think buying a ULEZ Transported is the one… mind you, I said ULEZ. Pre-ULEZ ones are okay
@themarvelousvlog dpf delete? What van you thinking then not a 1.0 litre eco boost hybrid van oh Ford dear lord the junk they make these days
@DarkReaper-or9el dpf delete will not solve the issue as there is an underlying issue that needs to be solved first. Whatever is causing the dpf to block is likely to be bigger

@DarkReaper-or9el got one already but that’s a surprise for the channel 👀
U should have disconnected the battery to re-set ur E C U lol
what fault codes are you getting on your van atm
Just particulate filter code 😂
which one@@themarvelousvlog

Original engine just general maintenance

A sprinter would be nice. As a mechanic, I know buying a PSA is not smart.
Only had to buy as that’s what my money could afford at the time 😂
I have a 2011 sprinter 313cdi
It's battered and done 400k miles but still goes well, I've had a fair few issues with it though but still, good vans.

Don't get a del sol, I owned one and they're not that great
del sol is a hairdresser car
Can’t agree enough 😂
the only decent vans are pre 2006 when they didnt have a dpf
Ladies ride on your partner definitely not on clutch 😅..
Ford, Citroën, Fiat are all the same vans.
Is leasing a van too expensive? All the trouble is theirs …..you just get on with jobs ££
It’s not much chop to ring a customer to say you’re late because you can’t work out why your van is in limo mode! Come on John! lol 😱🙈🤓🤣🙏🦘
