See how it works in Alabama the bridge laws are hub to hub an off the interstate weight is 82,000 pounds with 1 drop axle just a tri axle dumptrucks
HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU!!! It's funny you're bringing this up I just spoke to a gentleman about the bridge laws in Ohio. Congrats on your new trucks man.
Indian doesn't recognize drop excels.
On a tri axle dump truck in Massachusetts we can run up to 87000 gvwr. Most of the trucks just can’t haul that much though so most are registered around 80,000 gvwr. Trailer dumps can run up to 130,000 gvwr. Just have to pay the extra for the yearly overweight permit which is an additional fee on top of your registration.
An our trucks have 16 ft dump bodies on them
Here is IL only 4 axles count for a single vehicle. Also, we still have some old roads that only allow 73,500 gross. Our state is a disaster.
in MA my tri-axle with 18ft body is permitted to 77k (80.5 with 5% exception). in NH they only allow me 73k. there should just be a national standard.
In Minnesota, tri axle dump trucks can weigh 58,000 and quad dump trucks can weigh 65,000..... and we have road restrictions in the spring of each year where all of the above doesnt apply. Lol. Basically, heavy trucking doesnt exist in the spring until road restrictions are lifted. (Once the frost is out of the ground)
Bbc your videos crack me up
Agree with you high fucking shit.
Here in Ontario the company I work for has triaxle dump trucks with a 80,000gvwr
Pro tip: watch series at instaflixxer. Been using it for watching all kinds of movies during the lockdown.
@Ben Kashton Yea, I have been using instaflixxer for since november myself :)
@Ben Kashton yup, I have been using InstaFlixxer for since november myself =)
Good video Junkie. The BBC you was talking about is called Bumper to Back of Cab measurement.
Terry F Yeah I know what it I know what it man I’d probably just fucked up how I said it’s definitely not the other thing
Had me worried. lol Glad you know the difference! I run 7 axle in Ohio also and you hit the nail on the head on a lot of the problems we have.
thank you i was trying to figure this out for Maryland, !!! awesome video
Good explanation. Sounds more like the trucks take the wear vs. the roads. Such as the tires on the added axles etc.
In Arkansas we are allow 62,000 on a tri axle. I have a peterbilt with 15 foot bed and 12 tires and haul 20 tons. What a waste of tires and axles to haul extra 5 tons. I'm allowed 20 on steer 18 on 2nd and fourth axle and 17 on third. I think i'm going to talk to state boys about going up to 73000 for allowed max axle weight.
Keith Raines if you have a 20k front end you can haul 70k total you're allowed 20k on the front and 50k on your tridem, but this is only legal on ar highways and not interstates, you can most likely get away with it everywhere but it's not technically legal. But 62 is max with standard front end hope this helps
Dude the music intro are always 🔥
I find it suprising the maximum weight isn't higher in the US, the stereotype is that everything is bigger, louder etc over there.
Getting a dump soon and have been struggling with this shit so this was right on time. One quick question why not one of the super trucks that fold down behind the drives
That's some sweet art work!
In Louisiana a 6 axle truck and trailer can carry 88k,on state roads, 83,500 on intrastate, a dumptruck can carry 60 on 4 axles, But we don’t have those multiple axle dump trucks,
Here in Sk pusher axles give you nothing. A few oilfield trucks do run tri drives
The only problem with your figure is the back axle is either $46,000 or $56,000 tandem axle
In florida it's 70000 on a triaxle on all roads used to live in North Carolina it's the same as Ohio for dump trucks
Cool explanation
Good video and content man! Exactly what I was getting at, thanks for the explanation.
Yea, FL dumpers usually only have 1 springer axle. Man o man. Those dumpers are always rubber side up on the highway
In wa, a truck with a pup can have a gvwr of 105,500
I asked this before I hoped you did a video on it. But why don't you just run tractors with dump trailers?
the heavy dumps are more versatile than tractor-trailers.
You must have to lift all those tags to turn any kind of turn
They steer
Every axle added adds empty weight so it cuts down on the payload. Getting 20,000 pounds on the steer axle gets more difficult with every axle added between the rear axle and the steer axle. Heavy haul guys that cross several states have to keep track of many regulations.
Just wondering if you were getting disc brakes on your new trucks
John Lemmons yes
JUNKIE SHOP TIME!! I've been operating the truck that's had him for 4 years they're awesome
Thanks for the video🔧
Have u still got that harbour fright cordless 1/2 impact wrench.
I'm doing fucking good today so don't mess it up.
Liked the video. Jersey 80k and one lift axle.
Hey junkie how ya doin bro liked the video but I miss your repair videos and snap on tool reviews what happened to them?
MAXIMUMIT we will Get back to that soon
Waiting to see Enzo driving the big truck!!! Lol
Yeah but how do you know how much weight your putting in the back of the dump truck, also is there away to upgrade jake brakes to stop a truck even more then what the truck came with?
Snap-on tool freakazoid a skilled operator on the loader usually can Guage pretty well how much weight he puts in the trucm
When you get used to a truck you can judge your weights pretty good by your bag pressure.
Usually have weigh bridges on the way out if you're over you tip out
Justin you young pup you the law you are talking about went into effect about the time you were born maybe ten years after you were born. Way back in the beginning it was single axle dual tires and before that it was single singles and then the big move was the tandem Axel's, and now we're stuck with all this BS, and as far as any of you are concerned out there stands 4 a big story. LOL
Twin steer?
Are you by chance in the Zanesville area?
What a rude man.
I have dump trailers in nyc and I have over weights for 120k pounds and empty tractor trailer is around 44k pounds. How much do your dump trucks weight ? And what kind of body’s you got ?
Indiana doesn't recognize drop Axles.
What!?
I am not going to lie. I got bored as shit during this.
FrugalPrepper's Garage & Garden Sorry Tom is just trying to explain stuff to people a little bit sorry I was boring this time
