The problem is that there are some really nice companies making cheaper pickups that get the job done and then there are the really boutique companies that charge a lot more money. Seymour Duncan is kind of the middle tier price and I think people either want to spend less or spend way more. However, when I was in high school, Seymour Duncan and DiMarzio were the super nice option. It is a good problem to have as a guitarist when there is just so much competition
These are underrated today because they’ve been overshadowed by boutique and Fender pure vintage marketing
