Making a triangular leather coin pouch

- One piece of veg tan, folded and kept in place with a rivet. A press stud as closure and there ya go...a simple but nice coin pouch.
Since I didn´t dye the leather, i decided to burnish it with a smooth and rounded piece of wood. That compresses the fibres and gives the leather a shiny finish.

I have one of these coin pouches! Ilove it so much!!!
I don't want to miss it anymore!!!
wow. this video just took me back to my childhood. my dad was a "talavartero" that's in spanish I don't know the word in English. but man that is an amazing art form, that I never appriciated when he was with us. amazing work.
Very nice simple design and cleanly executed. Would be easy to make paper pattern fold out, put it on cardboard and have a template.
Beautiful work and well done video. It makes me believe I can do it! Many thanks!
Beautiful, amazing work!
Nice work....but filmed in 480??
Very good work. What thickness of leather did you use? Thanks
looks awesome
Спасибо.
Can you share the pattern of the beautiful art work?
tienes una plantilla para hacerlo me gusto mucho, podrias subir una plantilla en PDF please :)
Wonderful video! I'd love to know what you put on your edges...I've been using gum trag, but it seems like you use two products, one cream, and the other wax? I'd love to know what type of cream you first rub on your edges, and if you heat-soften the wax. Thanks so much!
+Dana Perrotti Hi, I used saddle soap and beeswax, but gum trag works just as well.
super and thank you.....:)
My pleasure!
can hold 50 coins?
Could I ask , at 0.59 what did you use to rub on the leather suface to bring on moisture and shine :(
It is basically just a piece of wood, preferably hard wood. Make it round and smooth with sandpaper.
Moisten the leather with water, let it soak for a while and burnish the surface with your wood.
Same procedure as burnishing edges!
Dear, Kinnari
I appriciate with your sharing . Thank you so much. I was searching how craftman hand glaze their leather for a while as I'm newcomer leather working.
