If you like the design, take inspiration and use your own imagination to create your own pattern.
If you don’t have the knowledge to do so, that’s on you. Don’t try to put him down for not selling his pattern. Not everything in life is worth selling no matter the price.
If you would have approached him with some compassion he might have helped you out with designing your own pattern. Personally I wouldn’t give you any time out of my day after your very opinionated and rude comment.
