#LOST SOUNDTRACK ANALYSIS (Michael Giacchino's score)
    "Is your name even Sawyer?"
They say a tiger doesn't change his stripes -- but would Sawyer change his theme in the afterlife? Go watch it!
    🚔⛓🧸
So many years after the show's ending, Michael Giacchino's amazing soundtrack for LOST still has many, many secrets to uncover. Not only does every main character have their own theme music, but much like the interconnected writing of the show itself, Giacchino's score connects locations, scenes, emotions and conflicts in unbelievably brilliant ways. For the foreseeable future, I will be exploring Michael Giacchino's soundtrack from ABC's LOST in a weekly video, covering all episodes of the show and their musical connections to each other.

Oh my, "Sawyer & Jin motif" - Now that's a long journey. It's so weird seeing their interactions. Sawyer and Jin from season 1 vs. now. I didn't mind that the X theme for Sawyer in this episode was more mellow and unnoticeable compared to the other X themes we've gotten. I was quite happy to hear some of the old stuff from "Outlaws" popping back. I am also not that harsh about this episode. I know many put it far down in season 6, but I think it's quite cool.
I chuckled at "takin your sub" :P

Wow, I didn't see that one coming. What a fantastic throw back to the early days! how did you even manage to catch that. Good job👀
Sawyer's themes are probably one of the things i will carefully listen to in my next Lost rewatch thanks to you! Keep up the great work 👍

It's one I hadn't discovered until recently, but it's now one of my favorites. How Giacchino would even think to connect this short Sawyer/Jin scene to that one from season 1... 🤯
Sawyer's themes are great! I mostly get into his themes in my videos on "Confidence Man", "Outlaws", "The Little Prince" and "LaFleur", if you hadn't seen them already. 😁

I love how the Sawyer X Theme is opposite in the way it has a descending tone. As compared to the Original Sawyer Theme has an ascending piano tone. So clever!

When I explain to friends how cool the score for Lost is, Original Sawyer's Theme is one of the examples I usually use. It's still so cool to me how precise the use of it is, even with at least two seasons between each of its appearances.
"So this one character has a revenge quest and in the episode where you first see him try to fulfill it, you hear this theme. And then 2 seasons later, he completes his revenge quest and you hear the theme again for the first time since that early episode."
It's cool that it comes back one more time here, although in a much more difficult context to explain to my non Lost fan friends lol.
And that Sawyer and Jin motif! Talk about a deep cut.

It really is one of the best examples, precisely because it's used so sparingly and during specific moments. I also like how that theme can be broken down into parts, like that suspenseful string motif that plays specifically when Sawyer says "I'm gonna kill him" (recalling that moment from "Outlaws"), or the harp motif that also plays in Sawyer scenes when he's in the room with other rivals like Ben or Widmore.
