Watching this scene again it just hit me that Christopher was horrible in their marriage because HE KNEW that he wasn't who she really wanted. He knew her. It's the first time that I feel sorry for him
I think that’s why he’s rushed things. Getting back together, their marriage, trying for a baby. I think he knew their relationship was tenuous and was trying to bind her to him.
I feel bad for him a little.. he's carrying a torch for Lorelai for so long but never really acknowledged that maybe they were better off as friends.. and Lorelai wasn't really in love with him.. I feel like they have a best friends thing going on where one person is only in love with the other while the other one isn't sure but doesn't acknowledge she isn't really in love with him...
Because Luke was part of Lorelei's and Rory's life. Christopher was not part Lorelei's life for soo long. He can't expect that this has never happened. I am so shocked Christopher was so insecure. I never expected that...
Lauren Graham has the best expressions when acting. When Chris says "tell me you're not in love with him" and she says "I'm not in love with him" you can just read in her face and her eyes that she IS in love with him.
I didn’t like all the storylines Graham was given in seasons 6 and 7 but they did show off her capabilities as an actress. The writing took Lorelai in some unnatural directions but she made it work.
Lorelai’s reaction to the morning after is so heartbreaking. She realizes that she may have sacrificed her marriage in favor of doing what needed to be done to help Luke salvage his relationship with his daughter.
She wasn't married to Christopher when that happened. It's when she went over to Christopher's and banged him when Luke wouldn't drop everything and elope. I mean do you actually believe that would happen in real life. If Lorelai went over to Christopher and bangs him and then marries the guy yet Luke still gets back together with her. What planet are you people living on. I would never have gotten back together with Lorelai if that happened to me. I would have never wanted to see or hear from her again. She would have been dead to me.
@@mikeprussock6073 I agree, but to me the moment even in TVland that Luke could not forgive was moving Christopher INTO the house Luke renovated for him and Loralei. That is just so cruel and thoughtless.
@@dietdrpepper15 Because that's exactly what Lorelai was. I will never understand why everyone gives her so many passes on that show. When Lorelai told Luke he didn't deserve Nicole cheating on him but she does exactly the same thing to Luke. It wasn't bad enough Lorelai cheated on him with Christopher but she married the guy that was totally unforgiveable. And Lorelai didn't have to go over and sleep with Christopher when she ambushed Luke in his diner all she had to do was go home and have a good cry and wait for Luke to catch up with her. Lorelai knew Luke wasn't a spontaneous person he liked to plan things out. Cristopher inherited family money and he thought that was enough for Lorelai, he just got into his role as a father with gigi, he just started to grow up and become a real man, whereas Luke was already got there and just needed to know he was already a father and embrace that fact. True, Chris has alot of excuses for being a deadbeat father and partner. He hates when he gets called out. His delusional ego is everything to him, more than his family.
Everyone in the comments are acting like Lorelai is the most horrible person ever. She literally gets emotionally abused and gaslighted by her mom all of the time. Yes she’s not perfect but she’s trying and I don’t think that she’s using him at all. He knew she broke up with Luke and he still got involved with her anyway. That’s on him as well not just Lorelai. She’s a really good person who is no where near perfect but who is? I don’t like how he was so quick to rush everything and try to be this happy big family when she just broke up with Luke.
@@crcr-km8je I do definitely agree that she needs to take her time and think before rushing into relationships. That's how all teama are they like to make excuses for the guys and blame the girls for stupid shit. They are not paying attention on how the guys treated the girls just vise versa.
Lorelai disrespected Luke practically that entire series. She disrespected his business and when you're supposed to love someone you don't do that. She constantly flouted his no cell phone policy. If he didn't want people using their cellphone in his diner that was his right. If they didn't like it they could have went and ate somewhere else he wasn't forcing anyone to eat there. And she always took up more than one table. LUKE would never have disrespected lorelai's inn put if he did you people would have been screaming bloody murder. And that's because Luke had something Lorelai never had CLASS.
No she CHEATED on Luke because they never BROKE UP. She never officially ended it with Luke, she was upset and ran to Christopher. Then she cheated, and smashed Lukes face in it. Lorelai overall can be a decent person, but for that alone it makes her a TERRIBLE partner and lover. Not somebody worth redemption in any romantic relationship
Maybe she did want to make it work but I think she was also afraid of something happening to make Christopher leave again and rushed to marry him to keep it from happening. She learned the hard way that her mother was right. A ring doesn't guarantee anything.
Chris honestly has no right no be mad. If the circumstances were different, sure. But Luke took care of Lorelai AND Rory no questions asked while chris popped in when it was convenient for him. Luke was a husband and dad before he even needed to be, chris was a playmate when he got bored.
Chris is such a child. Like hello? You got together the night they broke up, of course she still had feelings for Luke. And he was clearly just mad because he hasn’t been in Rory’s life. He feels inferior to Luke, that’s what this is about.
It funny how people ship Lorelai and Chris and think they are end game. Chris is mean child who never grew up. He couldn't be there for Rory and acted like he is father of they year when he pays for college. Luke was a better father to Luke and would do anything for Lorelai and Rory.

Hate Christopher... She's just telling the truth and truth is that Luke has been the one and only dad rory has had in her life... And Lorelai's in love with Luke and she can't deny her feelings... L&L are the perfect couple since the very beginning and as much as she would've love love Christopher she does not. The only time she's really being in love with someone was with Luke and love is something anyone can control...
I kinda feel like Christopher pressured loralei into the marriage because he wanted Luke to be out of her life or tried to get him out of her life but realized that that couldn't happen so he got mad and upset.
Christopher wants a way out just like did after Rory was born and for all the years he missed out on and Lorelai and Luke and her parents and all of stars hollow...So Christopher is using this to escape once again and place the blame on anyone and anything but himself so selfish. Rory is lucky to have Luke in her life forever and ever no matter what.
Also hate so much how he gets that mad at her,he forbids her seeing Luke..... Luke never was like that when Chris appeared and try to get her... Definitely season 7 was awful making these two getting married... Good thing is at the end L&L finally find their way back to each other but Lorelai and Christopher's relationship was really the worst....
Subconsciously Lorelai left the letter for Chris to find. Cause why keep it? You typed up the other version so it’s on a computer someplace, you didn’t need to keep the handwritten one…unless somewhere deep deep down you wanted Chris to find it.
Chris is very immature, he got angry at loralei for not wanting to get pregnant and gave her the cold shoulder, he pressured her into marrying him, he is incredibly jealous and can't understand that Luke was there for loralei and Rory forever. He's so insecure and won't take care of his problems and blames loralei instead of reflating
You know he probably thought it was a "fresh start" a "do over" where he could be with lorelai and raise their child and stop remembering his mess ups with them and Rory
I just remembered how many times did Lorraine sleep with chris behind luke back one at her parents wedding and other time when chris father died Lorraine took drink with her oh is the same one than when luke pack up to pick up Lorraine she cheat again with chris so every time chris cones she sleeps with him
Christopher shouldn't be jealous of Luke. There's nothing between and Lorelai anymore and Lorelai doesn't love Luke anymore. He has to believe her in order for their marriage to work. She only helped Luke gain custody of his daughter because she's a friend not because she still loves him. Something as trivial as this shouldn't be responsible for ending their marriage
Gawd! IKR!? He could’ve handled this differently & ended up with a much better scenario but his Ahole ways only brought Luke & Lorelai closer together again 😉❤️
It would’ve been better if she’d stayed single during their separation then her and Luke got back together. They never should’ve broken them up and they never should brought Chris back he sucked.
Always an infuriating reaction because “I can’t handle being your rebound” just doesn’t sound well when you hooked up with her the night she has a major fight with Luke, and then got together shortly afterward. Then you got married after dating for only 6 months. You set yourself up to fail from the very start and now it’s blowing up in your face. But it’s because of choices you made. Should Lorelai have told him about the letter? Definitely. But realistically she was always going to have to write it (or Rory would, which might’ve hurt even more), because Luke having custody of his kid is simply more important. It would be a betrayal to not write the letter. In which case Chris was always going to be mad. Because the fact of the matter is his issues stem from knowing that everything in that letter is true, and that it’s all stuff that should apply to him but doesn’t. I’d say that looking at it objectively his only issue should be that she hid this from him. Everything else (not leaving the place she’s spent the last 20 years or so of her life, not wanting to let her mom force her into another ceremony, not wanting to have another baby) is him trying to just looking for reasons to be upset. For star’s hollow especially he’s not taking responsibility for the fact that he always knew she was there, he always knew Rory was there, he could’ve been with them or insisted they come to him, and he never did. It is ridiculous to even ask her to be the one to move. The second wedding ceremony I’m pretty ambivalent on. But the baby? 😂😂😂 Because the first situation worked out so well? He completely bungled that incident and it is almost disgusting that he really expected her to go for it and then didn’t give her time to think about it. Again, Chris handled this entire relationship badly out of a need to overcompensate for being a screwup for so many years beforehand.
Lmfao. Who are you calling a cow. And Lorelai wasn't lieing she was saying the truth. Why can't you see that your precious Chris was a crappy husband who manipulated Lorelai into marrying him and didn't want Rory there. Oh ny god grew up and quit being so hayeful toward Lorelai. Your precious Chris is a man child who never grew up. And you probably have no room to talk.
She did. Chris didn't. Sleeping with Lorelai first chance he got then whining about being her rebound. Pushing her to marry despite *their* daughter not being there because he wanted to take advantage of her vulnerability, again, then surprised Rory hated it (and thinking the opposite). Complaining about Lorelai writing a letter for a friend in his custody case. Running away and barely spent anytime after his wife's father had a heart attack. Wow, what a symbol of maturity.

When Luke said no to eloping maybe in her subconscious that was what she wanted with Christopher just to make sure it wasn’t love. I think the money impressed her for a while. I dunno. I want to marry for love and someone who is kind and considerate of me and others. He doesn’t have to like my parents and all of my friends and family but has to treat them with respect. If I have any inkling that he doesn’t truly love me or he wants to try and change me and I can’t talk to him about anything it’s goodbye. Lorelai held on to Christopher for too long. Watching this scene again it just hit me that Christopher was horrible in their marriage because HE KNEW that he wasn't who she really wanted. He knew her. It's the first time that I feel sorry for him
Yeah, this scene always makes me feel kinda bad for him.
Nope, he brought it all upon himself.

But her and Chris will always have a special connection
@@heathervelasco5159 true but prolly not if rory was never a thing. luke is the best
She blinked, did anyone notice it?
Because Luke was part of Lorelei's and Rory's life. Christopher was not part Lorelei's life for soo long. He can't expect that this has never happened. I am so shocked Christopher was so insecure. I never expected that...
@@heathervelasco5159 doesn't mean they have to be together
And then Lorelai got so high and mighty when Rory slept with Dean when he was married to Linzy. He proved that when he went to her house loaded with all the things they would need on their honeymoon when they went and eloped. And they could have went and picked up Rory at Yale and she could have been there when they got married.
@@mikeprussock6073 Lorelai never cheated on Luke. She said she couldn't take it anymore and said we are through. Plus we as fans don't really know what went on that night at Chris's house. Saying we are through is not cheating. What Nicole did was cheating. If you don't remember watch again.
Cristopher inherited family money and he thought that was enough for Lorelai, he just got into his role as a father with gigi, he just started to grow up and become a real man, whereas Luke was already got there and just needed to know he was already a father and embrace that fact. That's why Lorelai never got over him
Chris never grow up in my opinion
When did Chris started to grow up?.
“When some wonderful happens in your life, a promotion at work, a successful refinancing, who do you want to share the news with? Do you see her face? Who’s face appears to you my friend”
What I love about this scene is she doesn't go after him which means she really loves Luke!!And once again Luke calls her to say ty!!!
Sometimes u forget they are acting
No, this is a documentary. Lalalala.
oh my word it grates on my nerves that Chris can never call Luke by his name; he is always 'that diner guy' or 'the guy'.
He just...bailed. no communication, no healthy discussion
That's classic Christopher 👌
And people ship them together.
The acting in this scene is awesome
Chris is so blind and annoying she didn’t want to leave Stars Hallow because it’s her home. She didn’t want to redo the wedding because Emily was taking everything over and she didn’t want to deal with her mother (what annoys me is that he pressured her into marrying him in Paris in the first place. She didn’t want to get married without Rory and he didn’t listen he just kept pushing and she didn’t want to be alone again so she let him. Their entire season 7 relationship was him pressuring her and her giving in before she was ready). And she didn’t want to have a baby because they JUST got married and he never explained why he was in such a rush. Lorelei, even though she clearly still loved Luke deep down, was all in on their marriage. She still didn’t go back to Luke’s even though they were talking again and she almost cut Luke out of her life completely to make her marriage work. It was always Chris that was a insecure jerk who pushed her away. I was glad when she was done with him. She never should’ve got back with him in the first place! #TeamLuke4Eva!
Chris is right!
@@cmp-vegan5136 he is right but you have to admit that Lorelei really tried to make it work. Maybe it’s because I don’t like him but I blame him for this. I think its was be hilarious if Rory wrote the letter about Luke and Chris saw it. His reaction would be alot worse then his reaction to Lorelai's letter.
Luke WAS ALWAYS there. For Lorelei AND Rory. He thinks he is going to change the past and erase all those years? I guess they don't teach common sense in college. Rory took after her Dad in that regard as well.
hii! i just wanted to thank you so much for the effort you put in to get all the scenes and upload them, it makes editing work so so much easier. sending you all my love!
Chris was just mad at the truth, that he's a complete deadbeat dad
Christopher did push her a little but I think she liked the idea of being married and went along with him. She’s a good person but she needs to work on her commitment issues and impulsivity.
@@cadiiii and so does everyone else in the show not just Lorelai
Ah! Only 3 uploads!? Ur killing me! Need more! Want more!😅😂🥰😍
If history has taught us anything, keeping someone from a loved one always ends badly
and we saw how, Chris likes to find the easy way out when he don't get his way.
Christopher is so immature
Chris honestly has no right no be mad. If the circumstances were different, sure. But Luke took care of Lorelai AND Rory no questions asked while chris popped in when it was convenient for him. Luke was a husband and dad before he even needed to be, chris was a playmate when he got bored.
Christopher being jealous is the equivalent of a 2-year-old throwing a fit … “holy cripes” 🙄
Weirdly Lauren Graham was a Lorelai and Chris shipper, which is probably got this hellish season 7.

The letter was absolutely beautiful and Christopher is such a ASS that he's so immature he doesn't understand her relationship with Luke.
I feel so sorry for him after he read the letter when his WIFE loreali LIED to him about hiding the letter
I don't he was a crappy father snd husband. she didn't lie about the letter.
Aaand he leaves - again.
Chris was really wrong for leaving her because of the reference for Luke.
Subconsciously Lorelai left the letter for Chris to find. Cause why keep it? You typed up the other version so it’s on a computer someplace, you didn’t need to keep the handwritten one…unless somewhere deep deep down you wanted Chris to find it.
I don’t believe a single one of Lorelai’s ‘I love you’s
She doesn't either.

She did have a baby with Chris what is he talking about
You know he probably thought it was a "fresh start" a "do over" where he could be with lorelai and raise their child and stop remembering his mess ups with them and Rory

But she still loves Luke.
Yeah okay
But how did he leave in his car with her jeep blocking him in the driveway?

I love Chris for leaving her, hate him for everything else
He can't handle anything....that's why Luke was there in the first place. Srrms to me that he was lucky to be in second place
Ha 😆 she's got a funny way of showing it!
Da pena ver fracasar a "lorelai" en sus relaciones, pero es consecuencia de las malas decisiones.

She did. Chris didn't. Sleeping with Lorelai first chance he got then whining about being her rebound. Pushing her to marry despite *their* daughter not being there because he wanted to take advantage of her vulnerability, again, then surprised Rory hated it (and thinking the opposite).
