Lorelai’s mom and Christopher’s parents are terrible, even as the years passed. Sad that Christopher couldn’t man up to defend his girls. He made Lorelei laugh and understood her jokes but was never ready to be the man he needed to be in a relationship.
Christopher’s parents were pathetic but you have to understand from Emily’s view? Yes Lorelai felt trapped and it was good she ran away, but she’d totally blanked them out. She didn’t let them see Rory whilst she was a baby. Eventually, Emily and Lorelai started speaking like normal family members.
Christopher’s parents are horrible. His life was ruined?! How?! He took no responsibility as a father when it came to Rory, so how exactly was his life ruined?! Seems more like he was just immature back then and never grew up.
Umm Lorelai is the one who took off with Rory when she was a baby, Christopher wanted to marry Lorelai when she was pregnant and when he came to the hospital to see Rory when she was born, he said again we should get married and that's when Lorelai took off. So don't blame Christopher. Yes his parents were horrible. Lorelai drove me nuts. She's the one who is at fault for Christopher not being in their life. But I know later on she blamed Christopher for not being in their life. It was her, not Christopher.
@@lifechanges557you know, lor left, and that should’ve made chris life back on track since he has no role as a father to the baby. yes maybe it could affect his mental health but he had connections to yale. he could at least try to get into that school, but he didn’t because it was not his passion at the time. his parents blamed lor for all that even though they had no obligations to it. rory impacted lor life a lot by choice yes but it wouldn’t have worked out anyway if they were young co-parents you can see the dynamics. he’s not the worst person in the world but he’s just not for her.
Not really. After he defended loralai she comes to him to say thank you and he told her he only did it cause she's a Gilmore, he only cares abt the family image. Same for rory and that's very obvious in tye first season, the main reason he likes rory is that she lives up to the Gilmore name
Unpopular opinion but I like seeing Christopher and lorelai together. It’s seems so easy and seeing the three of them together was a nice full circle moment ❤
Why did teen Lorelai protest to Chris talking about getting a job and making money, how else was she expecting to take care of the baby in that moment? I know she ran away with Rory and eventually got a job at the hotel, but what was her plan, what if the hotel didnt work out? After all these years I still don't understand her refusal at Chris working, especially since he was pretty much fine with it.
I don't think she was really ever in love with him. He was fun and they got along, but she needed an excuse to walk away from her parent's life. And she needed an excuse to leave Max later on. I think she took for granted that Chris would always be around for her in the background if she decided to go back to him, and he was a rebound for Luke.
How else were they going to take care of the baby 😂 Umm in case you haven't noticed, money was not going to be a problem with these people who had a LOT of family wealth on BOTH SIDES
Honestly i think she feared that he would end up down the line resenting her their baby and just about how everything ended up turning out in his life, and i think she was TRYING TO BE ungrateful but she didn't want her daughters life to turn out how her childhood was, feeling unhappy and like if she was some prisoner in her own home. She knew EXACTLY how much Christopher hated the thought of following in either of the fathers businesses so she was only trying to find a way to make it all work out without having to give up everything so their kid would never feel like they were some sort of mistake and also burden down the line. Her train of thought although deeply flawed I completely understand it
Maybe unpopular but their chemistry in season 1 and 2 was something else After the season 2 finale it just felt so forced ESPECIALLY season 7 but it'll forever be luke and lorelai
Lorelei makes her relationships complicated her parents in various times have reached out in various ways...she should be happy nowadays...and move forward 😅
Everyone was a perfect cast except for adult Christopher. I dont know how good an actor Sutcliffe is but he is totally miscast as Chris. For all he does and the way he acts, arriving to a quiet rural city wearing leather and shaking everyone with his roaring motorcycle he is presented to us like an older Jess, an inconformist, yet he reveals to be after all as the most conventional kind of guy. Big fail there.
@@morbikdon5245 You got to make the diference, most people do it and in my comment it is perfectly clear. When I say that Sutcliffe is totally miscast as Chris I mean exactly that, that the actor and his persona dont fit the character, it is like when they cast Tom Hanks as a gangster and say, like casting Jim Carrey as a serial killer. Every actor has a range of characters and some are simply out of their range. Imagine for ex. Clint Eastwood as a a man fighting with alcohol/drug addcition, I'd never buy that. I saw Sutcliff in a Canadian cop series and he fitted, he was alright but not here because Chris is supposed to be like an adult Jess, a rebel a guy who does thing by impulse without thinking the consequences, like coming roaring in his cycle and disturbing the whole town and who I see getting off the bike..? a nice, well groomed, well behaved young man, it just doesnt fit,
She loves her daughter but she does not know how to show it ☹️ look at the first clips, she defended her 16 yo girl and wanted to be there for her, she might be overbearing but she loves her
Whqt really pissed me off was how when seeing Rory together chris called her "pretty"'while Lorelaivcalled her perfect and when chris had his second child, gigi he IMMEDIATELY called HER perfect WITHOUT Any kind of hesitation whatsoever, and yes i honestly truly do believe that in the end he got all the damn karma that he deserved for not ever being an actual father to rori (like how Luke was
@@e.r.h definitely. Luke is a better man but Chris is a better suited life partner for Lorelai. They call each other out and encourage each other to grow. Luke lives in his comfort zone and Lorelai had to walk on egg shells when he would give her the cold shoulder. Even by the revival after being together for over 10 yrs they still hadnt had a straight forward conversation about getting married and having a baby. Any change/growth is indefinitely postponed
@@xexasperonChristopher never grew up. He was an immature, deadbeat dad to Rory and unsuccessful at every job he had and only lucked out when it came to money due to having a rich family. Luke stepped up as a father figure to Rory way before him and Lorelai ever got together, and he worked hard to make his own business successful just like lorelai not to mention he was there to support Lorelai at her lowest points without ever making her feel bad for messing up. He was her soulmate, Chris was nothing more than a mistake.
The casting was so good. Alexis really looks like she could be David and Lauren’s daughter!

Say what you want about Richard but there was nothing he loved more in the world than his daughter and granddaughter.

The appearance of Chris is just like the elder version of Logan. Until he opens his mouth…… Shut up Chris!!!
I love how Emily stood up against the abortion. Lorelai fights so much with her,she should be thankful to her for that.

this is not a love story
One hell of a teen screwup
It is, they were in love. Not all love stories though end with a happy ending.
