Mr. Iyer Mitra says in a lot of things we can never catch up to the west. I'd disagree with that general statement, you really can't put everything inside a broad stroke. While he is right about government not investing in human capital, but internet is a great equaliser as west has best education on internet for free, we also have access to that education. This maybe be copium, but people are learning things by themselves which they can be great at.

    • @vinod.19

Indeed sir, but internet cant be a substitute for hands on training, quality of upbringing, social and critical skills. As a society, we need to invest in our future and keep away from putting the blame to the political establishment.

    • @theindicexplorer
      @theindicexplorer  2 года назад +4

While I understand where you are coming from India was never really big on DIY culture unlike the western world. Also having a structured way to train people has no substitute. I do partially disagree with Abhijit, in that there are some native strengths we have. But there is definitely certain areas which need more work to be done. Abhijit's area of experience is only defense. Other times he speaks utter crap especially for economics & politics. You should make your decision carefully rather than just listening to one random RUclips guy

I am sorry I don't agree with Abhijit. 3D printing will high end- low volume machining where there is lot of material wastage. 3D printing can not and will not replace manufacturing process like High pressure die casting, plastic injection molding, Hot/cold forging etc, they have very low material wastage to begin with and cycle time is a matter of seconds. It is physically impossible to for a printer head to move the speeds required to match these cycle times.

    1. TIE, great topic... please 'pin' this topic and bring in other analysts.
    2. AIM's view is superficial at best up till the 1.00 hour mark, and he went apesh.t after that.
    3. GoI is on point, vis-a-vis, Bharat skipping the smoke and noise of 'traditional' manufacturing... and here, AIM actually contradicts himself, as the future of manufacturing is biased towards brainpower than brawn.
    4. As we move into the future, knowhow gets shipped across the globe with ease, i.e.: inter-national discrepancy is vastly reduced.
    5. Tech-knowhow is Bharat's forte, and AIM missed this point.... and he automatically assumed GoI is planning to sit on its behind, and do nothing while the rest of the world forges ahead.

@@theindicexplorer Well, Sir I would Suggest Next time Invite those Guest to your Channel who also Discuss the Solution of a Problem, rather than only Crying about Problem like AIM.
Even if you wanted to Invite AIM anyhow into your Channel, then you have to put ONE CONDITION to AIM to Bring Legal Procedural Solution too with a Problem which India is Facing.
Discussing the Problem in the Podcast wont Solve the Problem of a Country. it would only Help the Politicians to Play Dirty Politics of that Problem to Come into Power.
      Original Question
Q1>Why There is NO INDUSTRIALIZATION in INDIA???
Ans1> A Country, who is Famous for Benami Land Aquisition or Land Hoarding Problem, which is Difficult for MSMEs Factory owner or Industrialist for Purchasing the Land due to its Large Fluctuation Prizes
      Or
the Regressive Taxation Like GST, which is Closing Down all The Unregistered MSMEs Factories in a Supply Chain or Facing Missing Trader Problem or Accountability Problem for Registered MSMEs especially Related to Defense Sectors, Aerospace Sectors or Industrial Machineries Sectors.
      or
the IITs/NITs/IISc who don't have their Own Commercial Manufacturing Plants or Power-Plant Especially Nuclear Power-Plant.
By Observing these things, How Could we Expect INDIA to Get INDUSTRIALIZED, this is the Reason WHY INDIA dont Industralize
Mind you INDIA actually had a Chance to get Industrialized like USA or EU but due to INDRA GANDHI Rubbish License Raaj System, All MSMEs Factory Owner had Closed down their Manufacturing Factories.
Thats Why YURI BEZMENOV clearly said that Soviet Union's Communism Had Destroyed INDIA more than European Colonisation in INDIA.
Q2>WHAT IS THE LEGAL SOLUTION FOR INDUSTRIALIZATION IN INDIA????
Ans1> Start Taxing on the EMPTY LAND.
SO that the Land Fluctuation Prizes Will Become Stagnant, which would be Easy for Small Industrialist like MSME Factory owner to Purchase the Land for Opening Multiple Factories especially related to Defense Sectors.
2> Many PSUs had an Acres and Acres of Land Unused and Vacant. they can provide a Heavily Subsidized Land Rent on Various MSMEs Factory Owner, who wanted to Open their Factories Especially related to
      1>Defense Sectors
      2>Aerospace Sectors
      3>Industrial Machineries Sectors.
3>Government of INDIA have to make a LAW, that those Private Businessman who wanted to get Register their Engineering University in AICTE or wanted to affiliate their Private Engineering Institute to a Government University, then they must have atleast 2 Commercial Manufacturing Factories, to get Registered in AICTE.
4>There must be Law in India. that, it must be Compulsory for Engineering Students to work in their University/College's Commercial Factory atleast for 1 Year at Stipend Amount to Get their respective Degrees.
Just like how MBBS Students get their degrees, when their work in their College's Commerical Hospital for 1 Year at Stipend Amount.

For the record number of software engineers India produce, The original products that have multinational reach is few and far. Most of our products do not even have proper grip on domestic market. Unless we build on proper human capital, We are bound to have tough times ahead. Current IT services work can also be done in Philiphines/Vietnam etc with cheaper cost and better infra.

Most A.I is owned by America, thats the problem. India should certainly do a better job in high end manufacturing but that does not mean IT infrastructure is weak, infact thats the only thing that was focussed upon by the UPA governments. India remains the top choice for outsourcing for any country

Though I appreciate Abhijit for his knowledge of defense. He is certainly subject matter expert in that. But as far as other aspects are concerned, he is not a subject matter expert & often makes wrong statements.
Plus his discussions are often based on gossips rather than facts sometimes, I heard one of his session on India catching up to china in manufacturing, but he didn't make constructive point.
The biggest problem in india for manufacturing is land & labour. Labour laws are restricted & socialist while land acquisition takes time. Plus, logistics & infrastructure is the problem
Abhijit didn't even mention any one of them. The GOI has amended labour laws, but not yet implemented them. While for logistics they have introduced NLP,which is impressive on paper. But implementation is the key issue. Similar with Gati Shakti , it's impressive on paper
But implementation is the key issue. Abhijit is most of them times unaware as well about new developments happening. So I take him with a mountain of salt for matter others than defense

India will never get industrialized. Therefore maximum people will have no change in social life due to shutting down of low end manufacturing. Presently 60% income for india is from services. And this income get distributed in terms of free ration or water or electricity. So we just have to shift from low end IT services to high end IT services. So that revenue generation don't stop. And we can make that shift with IITs and other higher education institutions. India focussed more on IIT than quality mass school education since 1947.Hence Due to which people are habitual in society to live as low Income group. In developed countries their maximum population will be highly educated. So unemployment will be new for developed countries after 3D printing Era. But for Indian society unemployment will not be new phenomenon.India will be like developed Europe and poor Africa living in a one country simultaneously like present day India. So Abhijit analysis is not correct about India. We are only 2000 dollar economy but still 5th largest of world. So Due to our large size, India will have significant place in world politics.
And on religion terms, more people will do bhajans Or meditation or social gathering. Pre Industrial Hindu society is way more peaceful than pre industrial Abrahmic religions.

Aim vastly under estimates the human skill capital available in cities like Bengaluru and Hyderabad. We never build the computers but every big software has some part of it written in Bengaluru. 3D printing might replace the factory workers but not the software developer. As for the manufacturing part just a simple search on RUclips of the conference calls of Indian listed manufacturing stocks would paint a completely different picture (so much for ground reasearch).

A Tejas will never be good as a Lockheed Martin or Boeing fighter plane but its better position that not being able to make one at all and rely on import such as pre 2014.
