If he and Mario can lockdown California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona…and Utah for that matter (a lot of decent talent from Utah lately), then Bama, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Texas, Florida, etc. will become piranhas fighting each other for Southern and Eastern recruits and won’t have the same talent they do now where they get the number one QB. @@GruneD lol understand what? Have you seen recruiting and have you seen the draft? What has history told us? Even when USC was going to and winning National Championships the SEC had the best defenses. In 2004 USC best defensive year they were 3rd behind SEC teams. Since 1999 there has been multiple top 10 defenses in the SEC every year

As busy as these two both are, I hope fox takes a hint from these comments every week and gives them their own show or podcast or something. Best tandem on TV, hands down!

I’m biased as Clemson fan but I don’t see Brent Venables being a HC if he can’t actively control the defense during the game. There’s no one better than him

      What are you talking about?
Can't think of any defensive coaches off the top of my head but there's plenty of HC's that call their own offensive plays. Sean Payton and Andy Reid for example. I don't see why defense would be any different.
