This is amazing! This man was one of the first entertainers of the modern age and did EVERYTHING there is to do in show business for NINE decades! What did "Hollywood" do to salute and honor this living institution when he died? NADA! There was more coverage on Miley Cyrus' crotch the day he died. HOLLYWOOD and the MEDIA SUCKS!! They al have their heads up their own asses. Thank GOD we have dvd-digital technology so we can watch and preserve the great movie and programming we desire to see.TO HELL WITH HOLLYWOOD of 2014!!
MrBandsix so right. I live in New York City and Mickey Rooney was born in New York City, Brooklyn to be exact. There should be a plaque or statue commemorating him. He helped employ MANY people during the depression and helped keep MGM afloat. He helped to keep Judy Garland's spirits up when her self esteem suffered as a teen, and while making The Wizard of Oz. Can you imagine? Sad. Oh well, hopefully he's up there in heaven reaping the benefits of his hard work on Earth.

This makes me want to cry because its so sweet the way they loved each. They were so right for each other and they were meant to be. R. I. P Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney (The Greats)

Based on the footage and hair style, my guess is the 1970s or 1980s.
