    Method
    Potoler Dolma /Parwal/ Pointed gourd Dolma:
    Wash 1 cup Chana dal/bengal gram dal and pressure cook till 4-5 whistle. Do not over boil.
    Cool and transfer it to a grinder jar. Add 1/2 cup of grated coconut. 1 tsp ginger paste. Green chilly. salt and sugar/jaggery as per taste. Add 1 tblsp white Oil and grind. The paste should not be watery.
    Take a karayi. Add mustard Oil. Temper with hing/asafoetida. Add the Chana Dal paste. Cook for a min and add 1 tsp roasted cumin powder and kashmiri chilly powder as required. Stir for sometime .Lastly add few kishmish/raisins.
    Chana dal stuffing is ready.
    Now for Potoler dolma /pointed gourd we need to wash and clean Potol. . Peel off the upper thin skin and cut one end and deseed with the help of a spoon(as shown in the vdo)
    Fry the Potol/pointed gourd in Mustard oil and cool it.
    Nicely stuff the Potol/Parwal/ Pointed gourd with chana Dal mixture .
    To begin with the gravy we need mustard oil. Add hing to the oil. Now add 1 tsp of ginger paste ,turmeric ,salt to taste,tomato puree/grated tomato and 1tsp cumin powder . Fry the masala then add 1 cup of water. Let it boil and add the Potol. Let it cook for 6-7 mins on low flame with lid closed. Add little jaggery to the gravy(as bengali Niramish/veg recipe taste better with little sweet,it balances the overall taste.
    Serve hot with Steam Rice. This is a wholesale delectable recipe and counted among delicacy of bong food. This has both veg and non veg options.
    Though the veg option too is loved by all.In future will share the non veg option too.
