According to Trust bank, they do not have the feature to set for the minimum monthly spend. The minimum monthly spend of $500/1000/2000 across all eligible spending using your Trust Cashback card over 3 consecutive months is the criteria for you to receive the quarterly cashback of 5/10/15%. Maybe you like to clarify?
Not an expert opinion, but I think if you look purely at the percentages, 1% for Cashback and 0.22% for Link, I think it's quite clear which one will win. But if you find yourself shopping at FPG merchants (Fairprice, Unity) quite often, you can take advantage of your overseas spend to clock in the spend criteria to spend outside FPG.
hi, whats the effective cashback rate for a link credit card vs cashback card? my calculations for the effective cashback rate for the link credit card is ridiculously low at 1.17% for min $450 spend for non-union members, after considering 100 linkpts = $1, not sure if my calculations are correct?
1. is the cashback reward similar to normal Trust card visa? In format of link+ points 2. For travel category, what type of transaction included? Public transport, airline tix?
This cashback card doest have link+ points. that remains on the trust link card. Travel category - airlines, cruises, hotels, and travel agencies in Singapore and abroad. This applies to online and offline spend. Terms here - trustbank.sg/legal/kfs_cashback/#how-do-i-choose-my-preferred-category?
Hi Demi my weekends are usually spent on dining little shopping, movies and monthly trip to jb. Currently i have Everyday credit card, most of my online payment are tied to this card because this is my 1st credit card. Also i recently applied for UOB one for my wedding rings purchase. Should i discontinue all my card and sign for Trust? More big payments coming soon as i'm getting married next year. (House Reno, wedding gowns and banquet.) Thanks in advance
Hello! Yes but just make sure with your expenses, once it hits the $2K spend, move on to the next card. Only with this can you optimise the cashback earn rates. + take note of the bonus category spend amount in that table I showed at 5:24
Not a very good card unless u stay oversea for that quarter and all the transaction is in foreign currency. For local spend can easily get more than 5% if u use the right card.
Whats the difference spending $100 on selected category and another $100 on non selected category. Both contribute to $500 monthly spend? How often u can change the selected category?
1. Selected category will earn you the bonus cashback 5% / 10% / 15%. Spending on non selected category the instant cashback you'll get is 1% / 1.5% 2. Yes both contributed to the min monthly spend as long as it's not under the typical stuff like insurance premiums etc. 3. Every quarter.
do you need to hit minimum spend every month to be eligible for the bonus 15% cashback? if i were only to use it in JB for one month's purchase, do I get any cashback from it?
the min monthly spent ( eg 500 dollar category ) has to be from the selected category ( eg dining ) or can be combined with others with 1% cashback , in order to be eligible for the selected cashback category ?
any suggestion what cc to get i usually spend my debit card for insurance groccery and transpo is getting creditcard better? and what bank you can reccomend?
Dare I say yes, especially if you're always spending your money for groceries at Fairprice, and healthcare+supplements at Unity. I feel this card is targeted towards those who signed up from Trust specifically for travelling. So basically, Link card is local spend; Cashback card is overseas spend.

So getting both cards is better ? Link card for local use and cashback card for oversea use .... Right ??
If I’m just aiming for the 1% cashback on overseas spend, how does this card compare to the Trust NTUC Visa Card? Both cards offer the same FX rates
link points earned vs cashback value? haha

Hi, was wondering if grab top up will be considered as dinning category? It wouldn't be right?

Hi Demi, how to signup with your cc promo code if I already have an a/c?
Have to be new to cc and new to bank, both ah
Hi! Yea haha must be new to bank.

For the dining category, must it be restaurants or does it include food courts such as koufu and fast food restaurant such as mac?

Can I just get the trust link card for overseas spend? Am I losing out if i don’t apply for the trust Cashback credit card?
Just the 1.5% / 1% cashback you could earn on the cashback CC. Link card earns link points
If i were to spend $500 each month, the total cashback i receive for 3 months is only $30 (minimum cap) instead of $90..such a misleading credit card
Not a very good card unless u stay oversea for that quarter and all the transaction is in foreign currency. For local spend can easily get more than 5% if u use the right card.
Yup I agree

Hi Demi , The 1.5% cashback for other categories (new trust account) , is it on going 1.5% or limit to first quarter only … thank you 🙏🏼
do you need to hit minimum spend every month to be eligible for the bonus 15% cashback? if i were only to use it in JB for one month's purchase, do I get any cashback from it?
Yup hit every month for the bonus cashback. All others will be 1% / 1.5%
On this note, if I dont hit minimum spent, will I still get the 1% cashback?
Yes.
Will UOB one be a better card if you do not want to be restricted by the categories? But it can still be a good card for travel
Yuppp!
Would you rather the Trust Cashback Card or Youtrip? Might be a interesting video topic
hehe got it

Can be combined with others as long as it’s not the typical exclusions like your insurance premiums etc
Hello Demi I got an idea for you! Next time you can do mini vlog when you’re traveling and using trust card ❤ that will be 😎
Great idea! Haha once I’m well and fit to travel, I will :) thank you for the suggestion
any suggestion what cc to get
i usually spend my debit card for insurance groccery and transpo is getting creditcard better? and what bank you can reccomend?
Spend 260 and cashback 76? No way and misleading
Lol if you’ve watched through, the additional cashback came from the scratch cards.
So little lah cash back
It’s like saying a product price is $16.95 but say it’s only $16 when one would realistically say it is $17 😅
No point to apply this cashback card! trust link card better than this cashback 😂
Dare I say yes, especially if you're always spending your money for groceries at Fairprice, and healthcare+supplements at Unity.

@@laiyinquan8355 absolutely yes
the card sucks, not many people spend 2k monthly to get 15%.
actually i want that sliver briiefcase that they sent to you lehl
HAHA! 🤣 I'm wondering what to do w it.
Seems like this is similar to uob one way of using hmm 🤔
More also, is it worth to use this or link ver more at jb ? If we are talking about ad hoc spend that wont hit $500 quaterly spend
haha worth it in my opinion because of the 1% cashback + competitive exchange rates amongst multi currency cards.
