    • Brad Paisley - Whiskey...
For the first time on the channel, we are checking out Brad Paisley with this song "Whiskey Lullaby" featuring Alison Krauss. This was another country music song that really hits you in the feels! The thing that I am slowly discovering about country music is how in depth the storytelling is and how they focus on real life issues. I honestly never knew that was the case until I started digging into it! Their vocal blending sounded so amazing and I can't wait to hear more from these incredible artists! Hope you enjoy! #reaction #bradpaisley #alisonkrauss #whiskeylullaby #countrymusic #countrymusicreactions

Don't sleep on Alison Krauss, she's got 27 Grammys for a reason, bluegrass, country, member of the bluegrass group Union Station, even did albums with Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin fame, she's often sang backup or as a duet partner for many artists, but she is without a doubt a star in her own right as a soloist and to top it all off, she is a master fiddle player. Beyond talented lady. Brad is likewise a master guitarist and has had multiple number one hits. One of my favorites is Brad's collab with Dolly Parton on the song When I Get Where I'm Going.

Allison Krauss is the most decorated Grammy Award winner of all time. She is touring with Robert Plant right now, talk about an unusual pairing but they produce some of the best music out there. They pretty much dominated the Grammy awards in 2005 and like I said they are still touring currently.

Alison Krauss and her band Union Station did the Grammy award-winning soundtrack for the movie "Brother were art thou"

Brad is a certified guitar God. He started very young, as a teenager forming a band that quickly became the house band at the West Virginia Opry in Wheeling. He grew up just a few miles south, in Glendale, WV. His songs are amazing. He will make you laugh, cry and everything in between. Check out "This is Country Music", "Celebrity", "I'm Still a Guy", "Mud on the Tires", and probably one of his greatest, "Waiting on a Woman".
Allison is a multiple Grammy winner, not quite as mainstream as most country artists, but still incredibly influential over the last 4 decades or so. Her cover of "When You Say Nothing At All" (Keith Whitley's original is amazing, too.) is absolutely beautiful. Her voice can cut right through you.

I have always said since l was little. Country Music is all about life. For as far back as l can remember, l've always listened to the words of a song. I get excited & many times, I've wondered how did they think of this or putting certain words together & rhyming it. IMO Here's 2 beautiful songs to
Iisten to: Conway Twitty & Loretta Lynn duet "l still believe in waltzes." The other song(writers Paul Anka & Maxime Piolot) "Do l love you (Yes in every way." Sung by Donna Fargo. Donna sings it softly & does it beautiful. She does have to belt it out loudly. I think that's why l like her version so much.

About 4 min of movie before song.. sets it up. Schroeder did a great job of directing and acting.. I wonder if schroeder developed the story or if singer/writer had more input? The song alone gave a great picture.. But the video sealed the deal.

I first heard of Brad Paisley in either 1999 or 2000.
I could have sworn that the first song that I heard him perform (in a video) was a cover of the Statler Brothers song "Counting Flowers On The Wall".
However, I don't find it listed anywhere on any of his discography.
So evidently, it must have been someone else that I heard cover that song, around the same time.

I have struggled with addictions for the last 25 years. I've been to rehab twice and am not currently in the throes so to speak, but I am an addict, and it pulls at me every single day. It brings self-condemnation and guilt and the feeling of hopelessness. I have learned though that you just can't give up, keep trying and there will be good times. However, never let your guard down. My brother died of an accidental overdose 24 years ago, I still miss him. My faith in God and a better day keeps me trying, thank you for your kind words. Also, there is hope out there and my beautiful wife has never given up on me even though I am sure she has felt like it. Peace.

I just found your channel today. I love this song and I'm diving deeper into your reactions. There is an artist like no other that I'm sure you're unaware of. His name is Ren. He is a multi instrumentalist, a performance artist, a lyricist, and someone you need to see. First song I recommend is Hi Ren, followed by The Trilogy; The Tale of Jenny and Screech + Violet's Tale, and Chalk Outlines featuring Chinchilla. Ren is also part of the band Big Push. Check these out and fall down the rabbit hole.

We traveled in an RV for 15 years staying mostly at military famcamps. There were certain bases that were deployment bases, training new recruits who were deployed to war zones overseas. Women would move to these towns, meet and marry these young recruits before they deployed and hope they were KIA in the war zones to receive the big survivor checks. If they returned home these women would either havevthebmarriage annulled or divorce. Meanwhile, they were looking for the next victim. The recruits were told about this scam upon arrival, but these lonely vulnerable young men often fell prey anyway. Some people are so cold and cruel.

This song is really cathartic for me. My uncle killed himself after my aunt left him. She spent the next two years drinking herself to death leaving behind their three children. I don't really have contact with my cousins anymore since their grandma on the other side of their family took them in. It's just a horribly sad situation all around and I really miss my uncle and wish he could have gotten to watch my son grow up.

Sometimes I just can't take country music bc it's just too real. I didn't experience anything in this video except the alcohol addiction and PTSD. Getting locked up was the only thing that stopped me from drinking. 15-1/2 years sober now. It's hard to believe at times, but I made it here just one day at a time. I give all glory to God bc He was the only One that could help me, and He did!! Hallelujah!! Praise God!!

To me, Alison Krauss' voice is like nails on a chalkboard. I am just not a fan of hers. I know I'm in the minority here, but I really can't stand to hear her sing.
    I LOVE Brad Paisley though.
