Great video thanks. I tried it and found the white / purple wire had no power so had to connect to the thicker red/brown next to the ground brown. Very erratic connection to the Bluetooth and getting slight static pulsing possibly due to unfiltered power? Partly successful but not as good as yours.
Great video!!! I have a question for you. The previous owner of my car had this module put into the car and it worked great, unfortunately my radio went bad so I got a new oem radio put into the car and plugged the module back in. My problem now is that there is no auxiliary setting anymore in the idrive system. Does it need to be recoded into the new radio and of so how would i go about doing that. Thank you great video man👍
After my diy install: no, you can't change tracks. It should've made sense to me before already, since there's just three wires for the aux signal. However, I wonder if someone can tap the track button wires from steering wheel?
I followed your video, proceeded the way you did with installing the bluetooth device, put it all back to place. My phone will be able to find the bluetooth device only after coding it? Can you give me a link on how to do the coding?
Hi! I would like to know If the phone connects to the car right away and starts playing music (of spotity../.. ) without touching the phone or radio, like in the 'new' cars. Are the steering wheel controls working with the bluetooth (skip a song../ folder...) Thank you
The little section on the black plastic but is the aux. So if you connect the Bluetooth to that ; you will loose the aux functionality and it will always be Bluetooth
I think it's great! I will say that the mid-range is a little lacking in the E60, compared to my previous E46. (this has nothing to do with the Bluetooth though) It seems you can only mess with the very high range and very low range. My E46 had the most impressive mid-range I've ever heard that didn't muddy the sound like so many do.
@@RandomExposure Same with my car, my z3 sounds amazing but my e60 stock radio has barely any mid range but it does sry crystal clear so I can’t complain

@@abdulillahbaismail2499 bro i know the problem! Check fuse number 34 in the glove box fuse box. That is the fuse for the ccc/cic. Mine was blown so I replaced the fuse and everything works but please remove the aftermarket Bluetooth!
Nice but too much doing. Rather just go the transmitter route cause people complaining about coding and power drainage. If you can answer some of these guys questions I’d take the risk of ravaging through the wires.
Who have aux originally will not need coding and with power drainage the module is enabled whenever ur ignition is on and after u take the key out the module stays on until system goes to sleep but it wakes up when u hear like a buzz noise or something similar but after u lock the car it goes away after like a minute
Thank you for the video! Succesfully installed my bluetooth module with the help of this video on my 545i!
Is ur 545i a 2004
Very good, slow and sometimes funny explanation! Thank you!!
dose this module work with the steering controls and dose it work with phones calls well ??
It has the same audio quality which can be produced from the FM, right?

You might want to try the aux activator module on Amazon
ruclips.net/video/gtmMDYrIIlo/видео.html
Check out the description in that video for the Amazon link
Any luck man i just got a new ccc unit aux is unlocked but still no sound
Great video!
Can I ask; does this drain the battery in any way? As I’ve noticed the bluetooth box started flashing blue ?…
does someone know? i think my battery might have some damage now because of this
It works only when ur car is unlocked when ur idrive is woken up
Hello,

Looking answers on this too!!

Every time I sit in car FM radio is enabled and I need to switch it to AUX. How can I set AUX by default?
How does it pair with your phone. I just installed one and I cant pair it.
Can I replace it with the CD changer without coding it the aux cable
Nice job mate I wanna ask you about aux cable, how did you connect aux cable to stereo?
At the back of the center arm rest there’s an aux cord hole. (2007 525i)
Does tha bass working well? Thanks!!
Yes, it seems to.
@@RandomExposurewe installed exact same model from aliexpress and bass doesn’t seem to exist but we didn’t change out the pins were those necessary?

Will this E60 520i , no Aux nor DVD?!
Hello does this uses battary when the car is sleeping?
It turns off when the other subsystems shut down, a little while later after you turn the car off.
can you use normal aux after install ? or will aux mode always be bluetooth after?

I have the same question. Daniel S - did you figure it out?
@@Magamata-EE yes you need a programmer to activate the six function
Aux*(not six)
