I live near Legoland but my two sons are teenagers now and we don't go anymore. Back when they were young we got an annual Merlin pass (which gives you access to a lot of attractions) and would head off after school at 3pm and after a 10 minute drive we would be at Legoland midweek in the late afternoon to enjoy 2 hours there with no queues. I enjoyed the place; good for the young kids and the Pirate Show was a must-see.

    Thank you ❣️❣️. Darren 👋🏻👋🏻

We live and learn. What Fabulous place. When I thought of Lego land never thought of it as a theme park . Don’t know what I expected but I throughly enjoyed this Darren. Thank you. I never would be there now at my time of life so I’m glad you showed me round. Well done.

The SkyLion ride was added when I went in October 2022.
Looks like the Minifigure coaster doesn’t accommodate the larger adults, given what the seat looked like.
I didn’t know what to expect with the dragon ride - you get used to it being a dark ride, then suddenly you’re out the back of the castle on a rollercoaster!
One of the cool things about Miniland is the Easter Eggs they have - little hidden features that you might miss, like the little old bird woman on the steps of St Paul’s, like in Mary Poppins, and the Simpsons family in a crowd of people. They also add/hide Halloween figures when it’s that time of year.

Hello Darren, Great video as always, interesting fact, just read this about The Hill Train. The Hill Train is a funicular railway, it is the only surviving remnant of Windsor Safari Park which closed in 1992.

Funny; when my kids were young they just wanted to go the Knott's Berry Farm, Disneyland and Magic Mountain but never Legoland. Speaking of Q-lines, the best one I have been through is the Q for the Indiana Jones Ride at Disneyland. Looks like you had a good day, thanks for your time, work and posting..........

Very good! Went once in 2005 but haven't been back since. Last went to Chessington in 1990 when the Vampire first opened! So good to see how they both look now. Enjoy all your videos, whatever the subject.
The Dragon coaster was built by WGH of Doncaster and their MD was involved with Mimafab who later became Big Country Motioneering. Both companies had various name changes over the years so it all gets a bit complicated, but there's certainly a connection with the Ultimate!

Rain aisde, the best day to visit Legoland and take it all in is an off peak day. Its surprising how much can be enjoyed alone as the bulk of the big rides have family appeal.
Been caught out on the Lig Flume rules before, they are since the great shutdown of 2021, it is a soaker though lol

The worst ride was the last one of the day. 1.5 hour queue to get out of the car park.
Seems to be because many car parks converge on a only 2 barriers and you need proof of paying via a barcode on the Legoland app or a printed barcode for parking at the exit. Parking payment isn't checked on entrance and I assume most of the wait was for people who didn't know they had to pay for parking until they tried to leave and then had to pay at the barrier. £10 for parking by the way.

We went last Saturday and bought the ultimate pass. Brilliant day with a 6 year old and 3 1/2 year old as we had the pass it meant the older child could get quickly jump on the rides the younger one wasn’t big enough or without having to split up for a long time. Also when they enjoyed a ride we could jump straight back on. Expensive but worth it for a special day

There is a video about Safari Parks in the 60s and show the ranger jumping out of Ford Anglia and give antibiotic with a bow and arrow and and running fast and just getting back in the car before Lion got him..

In the Legolands in the US, there's very little to do if you aren't a young kid. Their parks don't include much of anything for any other demographic other than small children. Unless you're a parent with a young kid, Legolands here are a complete bust, especially considering how expensive they tend to be as well.

    • @AdventureMe

My wife caught covid that landed her in hospital from Legoland but that's a whole other story !!

I wish you'd get back to the historical stuff, I hope that theme parks are just a temporary theme on the channel, There are plenty of stuff about all theme parks all over youtube that people can find quite easily, I don't think you're giving us anything here that's very interesting.

Yes, I was also under the impression that Legoland didn't admit single adult men without children to their parks. Maybe they changed that rule after media pushback. Personally I have no problem with it. Far too many weirdos in society now.
