Hey thanks for this video. Great topic. I like that you linked current external successes to hunter gatherers and that what we display outwardly signals our ability to provide resources. However, I think focussing on sexual partners as a confidence issue is where the problems lie. Being brown in global culture has yet to be established fully positively. Brown in western cultures is still not “attractive” compared to other race types. I think it might be better to focus on the value you can add to your life and to others such as family friends and the job market. Confidence comes from having skills and knowing that you can make an impact in the world. This then leads to a sense of agency ie having power and control over your world. Having self awareness helps and knowing your circumstances, limits and opportunities can help better position you towards those areas where you can make impact which in turn will give you massive confidence.
i agree. but confidence doesnt have to come from being an impact on the world. i think thats great but brown people living in NA first need to worry posture, tonality, smell, self-esteem. making an impact on the world is great but if your a smelly antisocial weirdo, it wont matter
