Great content. I don't roll my eyes when an expert like you says something's important. These foundational principles go a long way, so thanks for taking the time to cover them in detail!
I'm a 60yr old ex bodybuilder for 45yrs and what you say makes sense...I'm trying to cross over to calisthenics but at 106kg and many injuries it ain't easy but will watch your channel and learn
This is great Adam. Recently i suffered a lat and serratus injury due to not warming up. When I will get back to workout after injury. I will implement all these things. Thanks for making this video.
The part about developing your upper body only and then having huge problems with your lower body is soooo true. I’m living with all sorts of hip and glute pain and stiffness everyday.
You are in super shape Adam and as strong as you look. Good post, nice to inform the public about bodyweight workout mistakes like this. Nice job. Carlos
Preach it! You're too funny. "I know you've heard this before. Don't skip forward to the end". You caught me for sure. Love the practical advice. Get good at calisthenics first. Then transition to freestyle. Congrats on the new place. Appreciate the apology. But not necessary. Life happens - even for you elite RUclipsrs. We get it.
Grateful of the shared knowledge buddy. Related to many of the story"s you mentioned through learning on my own and utube. This will help many who choose to make these changes. DONT SKIP LEGS
I exercise for 7 days with different kind of exercise like full body, biceps and Triceps, and my leg day is Thursday and some chest exercise and I been doing workout for 4 months because I'm skinny I'm a 17 year old before I'm 40kg then now I am 44kg and I am proud of it slow progress 💪
I have been waiting for a new video, I’m happy you are back, your Chanel is really great and I really appreciate your advice, thank you Adam I watch you from Spain, good job 👍
For the "only training tricks" I`d recommend the "training tricks" day, that`s how I did it back then when I was a beginner, and I`m doing really great. I do statics routine day, explossive routine day, weights lifting day, legs day, Martial Arts day, skills training day, experimental routine day. Again, IT HAS WORKED FOR ME, but still not every body is the same.
Just found this channel and loving it the focus on quality and health. Also, most of these channels the dude is massive which is cool if thats what you're after. But your physique looks more aesthetic and balanced to me. Added bonus is I'm betting this type of physique is roughly ideal when it comes to what women find the most attractive.
Resting is very important in calisthenics sometimes I rest 5-7 days then i feel stronger, for excample I rest the bicep and back 3-4 days but in those days I train other muscles of my body like chest tricep or legs and abs That is how I train, sometimes I train skills.
Is all depend on my man there is something call isolation for a reason. if I'm doing push-ups and I want to isolate that is perfectly fine. Look bruce lee he uses to do a very low range of motion push-ups. it all depends on what you're working towards. I normally recommend people to go almost all the way up just don't lock your elbow . locking your shoulder is the reason for manny people's injuries.
THANK YOU, ADAM, FOR THIS AWESOME, AND VITAL INFO, AND ADVICE/DEMO!!!.... YOU SPEAK SO MUCH TRUTH!!! FYI: After having recovered from shoulder surgery, i still have SO FAR to go, to get where I want to be!... FYI: I've been reading a book , by Frank Zane, and he advises much the same points that you do!!! => Very Smart!!!
Hey Adam , thanks for really informative and helpful videos , can u tell me ur height and weight ? Would be nice if u can make a video about ur daily diet routine . Keep up the great work Bro ✊🏻
I did martial arts for 11 years and it required a lot of leg work, now I have trunks instead of legs meanwhile my arms and chest are non-existent :D ... do everything!
I would skip legs cause I happen to be one of those people with a predisposition for substantial leg muscle mass and was afraid of making them larger but with diet I don't think that's an issue, I'd rather get a whole body experience
Great video. Rest is as much crucial as the workout itself I would say, it's a 2 phases process and you can't see gain if you don't apply boths. BTW Adam, Your imitation of the chicken legged body builder was too funny LOL
You had my full attention from the get-go. Congrats on your new place. I want to mention that it sounds like you just woke up ha ha or you’re just tired. You look great. Totally agree with everything you pointed out. Have subscribed to you because I do basically a bodyweight routine every two days of rest. At my age that is what works best for me. Great stuff man
4:45 I don't train my legs with calisthenics but I do mountainbiking quite often and i have been cycling all my life anyway and therefore i have pretty strong legs. But do I have to train my legs with calisthenics or is this also good enough?
Regarding rest, is it okay if i focus on full work out from Mon-Fri and rest on sat and sun? I just checked out your shredded academy program, the rest day comes inbetween on day 4. Is it okay if i train fully for 5 days straight on week days and then take two days break on weekend?
im 14 right now and I just started calisthenics, I'm wondering if it's right for me. I just finished my first week of calisthenics workout btw (don't worry I'm having enough rests in between)
i naturally have big ass legs compared to my arms so ive never trained legs. and i still have bigger legs than 90% of people in my gym and honestly i hate it. no matter how much i train my upperbody it still seems unbalanced.
But are they stronger than most people naturally? From the detail of your comment I think training legs at least to some extent would be a good idea regardless.
@@emzeemostlygaming3678 i have beefy legs that make my upper body look skinny. and im not even strong on the lower body. I do store some fat there, but its still mostly muscle. :(

1. focusing on reps over form
2. skipping legs
3. only training tricks
4. not preparing your body
5. don't forget to rest
Thank you for the reminder 👍🏾😊
#6 forgetting that the SAID principle will limit the progress with bodyweight alone.
thank you, i seriously dont get why people do 15 min videos to say 5 things, im not asking for a 1 min video but mate... aniways thank you
diabolical1976 Tell me if i missunderstood you but you think that you can’t keep building muscle with chalistenics?
@@mariusleroy8895 you understood me 100%.

Hey Adam, could you do a quality over quantity beginner workout?
💡

It's QUALITY over QUANTITY.
Oh.. is that what you think?😏
I always tell my little brother that but he dont listen and has bad form then says I'm not a coach 🤣🤣

The part about developing your upper body only and then having huge problems with your lower body is soooo true. I’m living with all sorts of hip and glute pain and stiffness everyday.
The explanations are great. Thanks.

Is creatine OK to use if you follow a calisthenics bodyweight program? or does it make you less smooth in your excercises?
Big fan all the way from SAUDIA arabia❤️
Nice shelf there

I'd rephrase that into we train to damage the muscle we rest to let it rebuild stronger.

THIS! 💫💥🔥
Stumbled across another sub....... I don't mean a sandwich........ I mean another channel. Nice concise video, thank you.
love it!
Is Football training (strength exercises included, but just sometimes) enough for leg days? or is it skipping to?
this channel will turn me into a straight up chad lad!!!!!!

I have a muscle imbalance in my Shoulders/traps. Can it be fixed?
If you break form (eg. push-up), you can always do negative.
5:34 nice
Big fan/same b day Aug 25th💪🏾
6. Get injured doing different exercices which are training partly same muscles.
