I have 4 established plants & i have a lot of brown leaves , can see they need repotting After seeing yours beautiful , happy ones I think mine are over potted , shall go for smaller pots
For propagation, what has so far worked for me is taking approx. 5 inch cuttings and burying the cut end in a mix of orchid bark and sphagnum moss and keeping the humidity high, without watering much. For H. tetrasticha I usually take a cutting of also about 5 inches and bury the whole thing completely under orchid bark. After a few months new growth should appear and poke out of the bark if it was successful. Huperzia propagation tends to fail, however. Much harder than most aroids :/
If you are from Europe, Farnwerk, Araflora and Ben's Jungle have some usually. For North America I don't know, sadly. But maybe UnderstoryEnterprises has some sometimes? Otherwise you can always find people from South East Asia that sell them. There you would need import permits, however. (Plus shipping can be really expensive)
Looooveee!!! Huperzia are soo beautiful I had two at some point but they didn’t make it past winter 😓 hopefully I can start collecting some again in the future ☺️🤞🏼🌿
try air layering. i came here in search of lycopodium squarrosum propagation and i have only read that air layering and putting them in terrariums where new growth can bend back into the soil will allow for them to root. they need to stay on the main plant and also touch new soil at the new growth points. hope this helps :)
Awesome vid on this group! I wanna try them so bad, but have a feeling my lack of humidity would spell doom for them 😫 Thanks for sharing your collection with us 👍🌿❤
Where do you find huperzias. I love your Terracotta pots. Huperzias look like a catus variety. I've never heard of them. I live in Ohio. Where are you located?
So keep soil damp? Humidity around ? Most them daily? Lighting? Can you help? I’ve been researching and I keep finding inconsistent care information. Some say to keep substrate dry like succulent etc. My humidity is around 65% and wondering if that will be enough etc. Thanks in advance
Cyril Cybernated yeah minalas lang ako ng location ng house - too windy and super hot dito sa central luzon. I might try again now that I have more trees!
I've always wanted to try to grow these. So hard to find though. I've seen them grown upside down through the pot drainage hole. Do you know the reason for that? And thanks for sharing.
Yeah, I've Killed That because they trail delicately, hanging them upside down is more convenient but I still hang mine traditionally mainly because I haven’t found a good pot that’s aesthetic and I have limited hanging space
Oops! Sorry about the music - still sorting that out. Obviously a RUclips newbie 😹😹😹
Wow!! Super appreciate!! They all look like unique waterfalls, the way that they fan out larger and larger. So cool!
Beautiful. Thank you.
I love Huperzia! I have been drooling over them for years and finally got a squarrosa!
Thanks for starting my huperzia addiction friend, now we have to go to all the shows and collect them all…😂😍

Just bought the Philippine variety of squarrosa. Fuzzier and softer than the Thai type (have that too)
