The time where all we had to do was go to school and pass our classes. No work, hardly any responsibilities, and just good times growing up with family and friends. So my thing with this song is that it feels completely different when you start out the game compared to when you’re closer to beating it. At the start, it’s just an enjoyable tune you hear when booting up the game. By the end, it’s a haunting melody associated with memories of a struggle you’ve endured, yet still strangely soothing to touch base with…
This song from the game will forever Invoke a feeling of nostalgia from within me whenever I hear it, even If I never grew up, or was even born when the game first came out and never actually played it until many years later
this takes me right back, my parents got an n64 for themselves brought it home and went to bed, i was asleep when it was brought home and woke to see it sitting there. I knew they wouldnt mind so i slipped it out of the box and hooked it up. It came with this game so i sat there in the pure darkness playing this game, i sat listning to this music for like 15 minutes.
marco rodriguez The 90's were just SO MUCH BETTER than now! It might just be all the nostalgia, but I honestly couldn't think of a better time to live in than the 90's! I mean, I love the smartphones and RUclips, but I could live without everything else! I just love how "authentic" life in the 90's was in comparison to the present.
This music takes me back, chilling in the living room, a hot summers day, no worries in the world but hearing this song makes me feel so happy no matter how down I am
I've spent countless minutes, if not hours not even playing the game, just sitting and listening to this song. It almost sounds educational, like this is the song you'd hear in a classroom as a teacher is about to introduce a new concept to you, and I mean that in the best way possible. It really is one of the most sublime, perfect tracks across all video games.
Damn I fucking miss being 4 years old. I'm 23 sitting here remembering all the fun times I had with this game. Even the n64 mario merchandise was more better than nintendo merchandise nowadays.
I have so much anxiety and bad depression and today I decided to listen to this while I work. This has brought me peace even if its just for 10 min. Thank you :)
It was the beginning of my gaming life. First game I ever played at the age of 5, it still gives me goosebumps when I hear this song. I will still pick this game up from time to time when I am an old man.
This song is my favorite. I could listen to it for a whole 30 minutes or more! Plus + I really like the Super Mario 64 game on the Nintendo 64. I play it on Nintendo Switch online or the original Nintendo 64 console from 1996.
This song reminds me of my brother's funeral every time I try to select a file. ;( He was only 8 and he died in a car accident while my mom, my step dad, and my 5 year old half-brother survived the accident. He was a best friend to me!!! *cries*
By far one of my favorite Nostalgia songs. I remember my parents were tight so I didn't even have a 64 until 1999. Before that my cousin would always bring his down on Thanksgiving and Christmas and we would play Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, and Crusin' USA. To this day every time I smell Turkey cooking (such as today being an Easter dinner) I think back to those days and hearing this song possibly takes me back the most. Childhood is bliss.
I was born in 2006, a full decade after this game came out, but this song still makes my heart ache with nostalgia. The first console I bought with my own money was a DS that I got off ebay when I was 11, and I bought two games with it - Sonic Rush, and Super Mario 64 DS. I played this game first and let me tell you, as a kid who had no prior experience with handheld gaming, hearing this song for the first time and just existing withing the world of this game... it was pretty magical.
Vesparoth I used to put water in the cartridges to make them work when I was little and had an nes, and It worked lol until the games eventually didn't work becuz of the water
Man I miss being a kid and playing this with no worries or responsibilities just enjoying every day shame we can't be so inocent and young forever.. could listen to thiss all day
Audrey Kingston Welcome to the 90's kids club, we have some rotary phones over there, some plug and play games on the sofa, and this wonderful thing called GOING OUTSIDE!
Dude, i bet you are way younger than me since all you care about is going outside and play like a little kid. You will never understand what it is like paying taxes, bills, and the house. If you pay like $2000 a month then why would you go outside when you are paying a lot of money to live and stay in a house? Just stay in your house and dont leave your house unless its work, buying food, or buying equipment
marco rodriguez Half of that made absolutely no sense, how is it that I'd never understand paying taxes and bills when EVERYONE HAS TO DO SO, I mean it's a CIVIC DUTY! And I really doubt that you are any older than me. And how is it that enjoying ones childhood through fond memory makes them an asshole, if anything you're just a fucking dipshit with absolutely NO LIFE outside of your apartment.
I live in a house first of all, and dont always assumed that you know everybody's life cause you dont. Plus you are either way to young to understand or you just dont have a job and still live with your parents so you should get off your lazy ass and get one and people need their memories becuase that is what makes us human. You probably never had any good memories as a child so you have to ruin it for others. Imagination is more important that knowledge
Oh, boy Super Mario 64 was the first game I remember playing as a child back in 97/98, when there was a demo of this in Toys R Us. Absolutely loved this game and loved listening to the music like this one. I am nearly 25 and still a Nintendo gamer to this day, and hope to get a Wii U this month. Outstanding games like this one are the reason why we all play video games in our spare time in the first place. Not because of nostalga either, but to the merits of this game. :D
Ahhh memories sweet sweet memories i'll never forget this game it was the first game i ever beat. Always loved this song so great to hear it again. Those days were great.
The song makes me feel so sad for some reason. Tears really wanna come out. I wasn’t around in the 90’s, but in the 2010’s i played the heck out of this. Man, I gotta leave this video it’s too much. 😢
This song always has me thinking in my head "what would 1996 be like? Would this game be all the rage? Would I get a copy of the game? Can I now truly see if all of the copys are personalized?" But nothing beats the nostalgia
It is impossible to listen to this song without smiling or feeling good.

This music takes me back, chilling in the living room, a hot summers day, no worries in the world but hearing this song makes me feel so happy no matter how down I am

its been 10 years daddy i really really miss you
I love the nostalgia this brings, back when things were simple.
Ohhh, childhood, where did you go?
11 years later, what you up to?
🤷🏻♂️😯😂
how old are you rn
I've spent countless minutes, if not hours not even playing the game, just sitting and listening to this song. It almost sounds educational, like this is the song you'd hear in a classroom as a teacher is about to introduce a new concept to you, and I mean that in the best way possible. It really is one of the most sublime, perfect tracks across all video games.
I could listen to this for more than 10 years, its so soothing and i could sleep to it. :)
Damn I fucking miss being 4 years old. I'm 23 sitting here remembering all the fun times I had with this game. Even the n64 mario merchandise was more better than nintendo merchandise nowadays.
Grammar Nazis will kill you.
yoinks
27 now?
hope you're doing good
I have so much anxiety and bad depression and today I decided to listen to this while I work. This has brought me peace even if its just for 10 min. Thank you :)
Hope it gets better
when i listen to this, i feel like i'm home.
This song reminds me of my brother's funeral every time I try to select a file. ;(
He was only 8 and he died in a car accident while my mom, my step dad, and my 5 year old half-brother survived the accident. He was a best friend to me!!! *cries*
Sorry for your loss
Hold your head bro
Always nice to remember the memories I had playing this game back when I was young. Fills me up with so much *nostalgia*...
Omfg YES I FOUND YOU
I've been searching all day for this song
A moment of selince for those lost souls looking for this gem
By far one of my favorite Nostalgia songs. I remember my parents were tight so I didn't even have a 64 until 1999. Before that my cousin would always bring his down on Thanksgiving and Christmas and we would play Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, and Crusin' USA. To this day every time I smell Turkey cooking (such as today being an Easter dinner) I think back to those days and hearing this song possibly takes me back the most. Childhood is bliss.
This game will stay with me forever
I was born in 2006, a full decade after this game came out, but this song still makes my heart ache with nostalgia. The first console I bought with my own money was a DS that I got off ebay when I was 11, and I bought two games with it - Sonic Rush, and Super Mario 64 DS. I played this game first and let me tell you, as a kid who had no prior experience with handheld gaming, hearing this song for the first time and just existing withing the world of this game... it was pretty magical.
Yeah this song is just that good too
I remember playing this with my dad when I was 4. It makes me want to pull out the N64 and play it with him. Like we used to.
i mean nobody said you cant pull out the n64 and play it with him, well if you still even have that n64
@@MostStupidGoofyGoober we have been recently we have the n64 back!
Do it
Keep blowing on the cartridge to make it work
Vesparoth that would damage the contacts and hurt the game a better way to make it work is q-tips and windex
not too much windex plus you would dry it with the other end of the q-tip at lease thats what i would do.
Vesparoth I used to put water in the cartridges to make them work when I was little and had an nes, and It worked lol until the games eventually didn't work becuz of the water
Lol

Man this is my favorite song. This brings me happiness and peace. And so calm and soothing.
I can listen to this all day...and never stop listening to my childhood memories :''D
I actually really love this song. It just has a certain mood I find so wonderful!
This was 13 years ago and still is a banger
More like 28 years
@@carboardpickaxe6615 yep
13 years ago?? How old are you, son? Lol
y’all I’m pretty sure he meant when the video was uploaded, not when the game actually released
@@FabianisepicXD your correct
Man I miss being a kid and playing this with no worries or responsibilities just enjoying every day shame we can't be so inocent and young forever.. could listen to thiss all day
I was born in 93 and my first console was the 64. i had super mario 64, donkey kong 64, yoshi's story, and zelda ocarina of time.
Audrey Kingston Welcome to the 90's kids club, we have some rotary phones over there, some plug and play games on the sofa, and this wonderful thing called GOING OUTSIDE!
Just because you don't go outside, doesn't mean you should call others mean things little boy. Go sit in the corner and think about what you've done.
Imagination is more important that knowledge
this reminds me of pics like the old windows background and just the blue sky with clouds, that was the best moment in my life.
When I got this game I played it so much I failed a quarter of High School History. I don't regret it one bit.
what one day makes us smile can also make us cry..
YOU BURNT MY HOUSE TO THE GROUND
MY FAMILYS DEAD WHAT DO I DO???
this music is really iconic and this can cure depression
🤷♂🙂
Whats the name of the animation
🤷♀️
Oh, boy Super Mario 64 was the first game I remember playing as a child back in 97/98, when there was a demo of this in Toys R Us. Absolutely loved this game and loved listening to the music like this one. I am nearly 25 and still a Nintendo gamer to this day, and hope to get a Wii U this month. Outstanding games like this one are the reason why we all play video games in our spare time in the first place. Not because of nostalga either, but to the merits of this game. :D
Dude im 11 and i wanna cry
19 here. I played this too though I was only 4 t the time.
17 here and i really miss this game
23 and I still play this game once in awhile :))
Almost 18 and still miss this game!
One of the best Tracks in the game :>
This was my first game ever. I shouldn't be feeling old at 28 years old, but this makes me feel it.
Relatable for me too being a similar age
This is my first Mario game
Ahhh memories sweet sweet memories i'll never forget this game it was the first game i ever beat. Always loved this song so great to hear it again. Those days were great.
The song makes me feel so sad for some reason. Tears really wanna come out. I wasn’t around in the 90’s, but in the 2010’s i played the heck out of this. Man, I gotta leave this video it’s too much. 😢
Yeah, true, i also played the game in 2010s
This song always has me thinking in my head
"what would 1996 be like? Would this game be all the rage? Would I get a copy of the game? Can I now truly see if all of the copys are personalized?" But nothing beats the nostalgia
I used to go to sleep and leave my ds on my pillow while playing this...
Good ol' 2011
+Ninjudah lol I used to do the same as a kid
