    That dash sure brings back a lot of memories of my Dads 96 I grew up in. Only difference was a Canadian Class badge instead of American. Lol. Great video Gerald.

    Yes sir it is. No good places to eat hardly anymore fuel costs insurance cost damn parts are rediculous but damn it we love trucks. And I do like your flat top. And the 359. Hope ya keep um both.

    Love the look of the flat top stacks with heat shields, thats a look you really don't see anymore.
    Best of luck on the Green machine, shes got good bones for sure.
    a 359 and a old style dash 379, Thats a great combination.

    If you’re going to change the dryer you can shoot air through your ac manifold shut the knobs down and spray your system down with soapy water. Make it a lot easier to find leak.

    Maybe you can JB weld the hole in the one tank for a temporary fix I did it once to a fuel tank it lasted a few years no issues.

      I’m going to take it off and fill it with water and pressurize it so I can find the leak. I don’t trust my aluminum welding enough to weld it up so I’ll take it to the machine shop here. Unless I can find a a 150 gal tank to replace it

    Biggest problem I've had with the a/c on them is orings. Mine was blowing ice cold, went home for the weekend and Monday morning nothing. Oring on the high side of the compressor was leaking. On our other truck had one leaking on the dryer just out of nowhere.

      Man those things will make you or break you. I soak mine in refrigerant oil before I put them on and wear rubber gloves. I try the best I can to make sure the o-rings are straight and not twisted on the fitting

      My 96 will give you pneumonia it gets so cold. I can't run the back on high in the summer when I'm trying to sleep because it gets so cold. I'd check all the connections on yours and look for oil seepage from them and the condenser.

      Yeah I’m going to redo the whole thing in the spring. Most of the time I ran the sleeper and that will run the cab on low. And it was all I could take!

    That’s insane man. My freaking blinker deal did the same thing last week. I still had blinkers but my high beams were on for a week till I got a new switch. 98 Pete things I guess

    See one day and thing at a time w it. I was wondering what yr it was I have a 98 it’s a stand up bunk though. I was pulling for schwend out of Fla I live in Ohio. Trans started knocking at ringgold ga. Needless to say I limped it home all way to Cincinnati and she’s been sitting. I’m bout to get it fixed though it needs to be. But anyway 98 is a good one. And you got a good one. Sure enjoy your videos Keep um coming and I miss pulling hopper but I work local now drive someone else stuff. Be safe out there get on home to the family and enjoy them.

      Good luck to you getting it back going! I think 97-2000 were the best years. Best hvac, best dash, and best engines. I could go on and on why they are the best but those are big ones to me. And anti lock

    Heck yeah the exact same thing happened to me on the turn signal wiring...got wrapped up in the steering u joint i just got a new one for mine..used plenty of zip ties to keep it away from the u joint..

    Next time you are in New Paris,Ohio stop over at Custom truck and electronics it’s just past the Petro on the right off 40 good people and they have a lot of things most chrome shops don’t have especially for your 359.

      They are great! I usually stop if I get there before they close. I bought a winter front for my 359 back in the winter. It was a old Belmont winter front and the box had and inch of dust on it. One of the coolest things I’ve ever bought

      Yes it is my back up and eventually I’m going to do some updating on it. The plan is to be back in it in the spring when all the junk is off the roads up north

    Does that grain hauling pay pretty good. I pull flatbed steel out of Chicago to Carolina’s average around 3,25 a mile. I’ve always wondered how that stuff paid.

      No it really don’t pay that great. Everything is usually by the ton or by the bushel. Every once in a while a flat rate. Got to load the wagon every load.

      I’m hauling rice bran in this video. One load goes 350 miles and the second goes 1200 miles. I loaded some pork meal and it goes 700 miles back home. That’s the load where I’m getting loaded with a front end loader

    It needs more Freon those pressure are to low it should be 40 on the low side and below 250 on the high side brother than it should be cold

      Dude I know. I started to put more Freon in it. The best this thing ever cooled was 27/150. It would absolutely hurt you it got so cold. When I fill one I get it to where the compressor kicks on by itself and look at the thermometer in the vent to see where is going to cool best. I’m just going to redo the whole thing in the spring so I know exactly what I got

    When you mention the motor you had in it did pull it out b4 you sold this truck or what’s story with that?

      Yes. I pulled the original 1LW out to do an out of frame in it and put the 5EK that it now. I ended up selling it after this 5EK broke the crank and I stole the crank out of the 1LW to put in this 5EK so I could put a new crank in the 1LW when I did the out of frame. 6 years later here I am about to follow through😂

      Kinda. I’m just not filling that passenger tank up all the way. Keeping it shut off until I get ready to use it. Kinda redneck but I’ll get it off and fix it or put a new one on soon

      Man when I started looking at this truck I was wanting to buy it for a spare. My wife told me I didn’t need to have a spare truck. 6 years later I guess I showed her!😂😂 I want to have it for a back up and run it in the spring and fall

      No I’m pretty old school in the pipe selection. I want these old style muffler guards with tall 5” tips or 6” miters that are 13’3 with standard elbows
