The new R-Line doesn't even come close to this. I just don't understand why VW doesn't go all out when they design the production vehicle, the wheels and stance on this Beetle are amazing, the hood loovers puts the car into a true performance class. The production R-Line has a great engine, nice interior, mushy suspension, and really lacks styling.

This car has nothing in common with the old Käfer. Appeal nothing. The VW' s designers should have let the orginal forn untouched making all the necessaries modifications and up-to-dates only inside, motor and modern Technology, without changing the original exterior. The thing could have been possible. The mudguards had to remains the same as the old ones, bonnet and rear too. Then the new beetle would have been a hit. Instead we have a failure. Sorry.

Silver Fletcher I wouldn’t call it a failure. Not as popular as the original or the 2000s new beetle, but I still see plenty of them on the road.
Oh, and the wheels are horrible on the production model!!!
