Give it Away is definitely a must listen.
They have slower grooves too (Soul to Squeeze, Under the Bridge)😊

@@NatReacts_ They were wild, any band that performs only wearing 1 sock and not on their foot...way out there. After their first guitarist, Hillel, died things started to change but still a creative, talented band.

Don't forget their cover of "Love Rollercoaster".
It's even more funk than the original.

Yes this is their vibe. You have no idea how awesome this guys are. You will be amazed once you start listening to them. Also try to listen to the lyrics. No need to talk over the song.
Oh, and yes they are west coast.

Finally, you’re hitting some Chili. They have all kind of sounds. “Around the world” or “Otherside” for next *RHCP*

Definitely make sure you listen to "Give It Away" by the RHCP. Probably their most popular song. And BTW, I've got fairly mainstream taste when it comes to which are the best songs in a band's repertoire. So I'm not going to be leading you down some path that only people with "good taste" like, which I've found is usually dictated by what the most obscure song is on the list. People can be so pretentious. Anyways, "Give It Away" is more of a heavy beat than this song and is one of the most artistic videos I've seen. Just a general warning, it has a few scenes that, for me, are a little TOO gay friendly.
Also, I've been meaning to mention there is one Alternative band that was super popular in the 90s but that most reactors haven't yet discovered. It's Bush, and they must have had at least half a dozen top notch songs that any one alone would have made any band's name. It's just classic Alternative, practically a dictionary definition, and the songs you should listen to are:
    Chemicals Between Us
    Come Down
    Glycerine
    Machine Head
    Everything Zen
There's at least one more "must hear," but I can't remember and this should get you started. While you can usually give maybe two songs from any given top band that were great (sometimes only one), all five of these would be included in anyone's list. You'll go, "Damn! That was a banger" to each one, but Glycerine is slower but an extremely heartfelt song that appeals to both men and women. Not too drippy or dramatic, just right. Oh, I just ran across the missing song. It's called Little Things.

This song is from an album that came out in like 2003, like 30 years after they formed. Their second album, Freaky Styley from 1985 was produced by George Clinton of Parlament/funkadelic. They are a blend of funk, punk, and rock. Their major influences are Jimi Hendrix, Parialent/funkadelic, and Sly and the Family Stone.
For fast energetic songs Check out:
Get Up and Jump, Fight Like A Brave, Johnny Kick a Hole In The Sky, Higher Ground (a Stevie Wonder cover), Suck My Kiss
    For funky songs:
Hollywood, a cover of a Meters song.
If You Want Me To Stay, a cover of Sly and the family Stone
    Subway to Venus
    The Power of Equality
    Funky Monks
These songs are all released by 1991.

Excellent Choice and Reaction! Everyone will give you tunes to check out. I will lay down 2 videos you will be both, be surprised by and, really enjoy. Chili Peppers gave influence to a lot of music. 1. Alanis Morsette - You Oughta Know(Flea(Bass) and several others play on this tune)
    2. Ren - The Hunger has both Chili Peppers and Beastie Boys influences.
