This was the song that my daughter "discovered " apparently the chili's are now a multi generational band... she couldn't believe that mamma knew and loved the chili's 😆😍
2006. Killer guitar solo! They dolled themselves up in the video just in case the old school feel failed to come across -- Elvis, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Parliament Funkadelic, David Bowie, Alice Cooper, New York Dolls, The Clash, Danzig, Motley Crue, Nirvana, RCHP!
The Red Hot Chili Peppers are a great band. I saw them live probably a dozen times in the late 80s and then 90s. Crazy shows, you kids today have no idea. :)
The music video is them recreating legendary Rock & Roll performances, they did a great job recreating live performances from Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Prince, Parliament-Funkadelic, David Bowie, Sex Pistols, The Misfits' Glenn Danzig, Twisted Sister, Mötley Crüe, Nirvana, Slade, Poison and The Red Hot Chili Peppers themselves.
This album was on constant repeat for me when it came out. Songs like "Desecration Smile", "Strip My Mind", "Turn It Again", "Make You Feel Better", "Tell Me Baby", "Stadium Arcadium", "Wet Sand", "Snow (Hey Oh))... man I need to go listen to that album... one of the best of the decade.
DEFINITELY in my top 5 Chili Peppers' songs. And I love the video, too- it's fun to pick out the bands and rock movements they're parodying in it. Another awesome RHCP song is "Zephyr Song," if you haven't listened to that one yet. 🤘
top 5 on the album or of all their songs? in fact it wouldn't even make my top 5 on stadium arcadium. Snow Slow Cheetah Desecration smile Readymade Wet Sand are for me personally all better than this.
This almost 40 yr old band is still a top entertainer. Just as you, though much more recent. Because I don't use social media, after watching you since you began and making dozens, maybe over a hundred pitches for singers on your comments section, I have given up, but will continue to enjoy your unique style. You stand out head and shoulders from other reactors with your wit and almost naïve enthusiasm. Well done my fellow Commonwealth cousin. 🇯🇲🇰🇪
I haven’t been to a lot of concerts, my time spent hustling so I could stay fcked up, but one of the handfuls of live shows I saw was RHCP’s when I was 16. It was absolutely one of the most amazing concerts ever. They’re so dynamic on stage. I swear Anthony Keetus turned me into a chick with a long hair fetish. I’m not the type to fall for celebrities, like I hate Stan culture, but Anthony Keetus was one of the few who could make a stan out of me. Like how is he in his 50’s or 60’s and still hot as fck? I’m convinced he must have sold his soul. Ironically my kid sang a line of this song last night, asking me if I knew the name of it bc it was stuck in her head. Then she asked what the chorus meant and omg I’m such a fcking prude. I ofc explained as matter of fact as poss, but was blushing the whole time. I literally was a s€x worker in the past, but have my kid ask me a s€x related question and I turn into a dumbas$.
Artists paid homage to in this video Elvis Beatles Jimi Hendrix Cream Parliament Funkadelic David Bowie Sex Pistols Misfits Twisted Sister Motley Crue Poison Nirvana RHCP Hopefully I didn't miss any
They're coming up on their 40th anniversary next year, having survived through 5 separate decades and a LOT of drug use in their early years, they're an awesome band. And they still just do it for the love of the music and the desire to spread that joy. IDGAF what anyone else might say, I fkn love them!
This is definitely ion my top 10 of favorite music videos. The jumping from decade to decade with the style of bands is a really imaginative touch. I'm sure there are some band images that are from the same decade but they're also iconic styles of the decade, so it fits in well with the vibe. Also the Band themselves do a great job of LOOKING like the kind of band they are supposed to be - not just with the costumes but in how they express themselves; the facial features and everything. An overall very good video.
I have always loved the red hot chili peppers, but somehow this music video slipped past me and wow! I bet they had so much fun recording that. Brilliant band.
I love your videos man! You give such genuine and deep thought into every song and help me find a lot of the songs that I forgot. You hooked me onto your channel with Coldplay’s - The Scientist. You are a true audiophile of music!
Incredible video to match an equally amazing song. They clearly had fun emulating multiple eras of music and iconic bands from Elvis, The Beatles, Ziggy Stardust-era Bowie, Danzig (the gothiest one), and Nirvana.
I saw them at Mile High this year... My god can they play.,. I have never i mean never heard a band play an open stadium with that energy and sound.... Stomping the rain puddles with your neighbor and just signing along at the top of your lungs. I have seen many top bands and after 20 + years years of listening to them I finally got to see them live. I will never not suggest if you get a chance to see them live,GO!
Nice reaction. Good post video comments. You were "on point" with your analysis. I also only discovered RHCP in these last few years and have come to really like this music video. Thanks! 😎
Cannot wait to see them again in June!! Best band ever! I wouldn't say this was one of their best ( it's great still) but the video's fun. and can you believe 3 of these men are in their 60's??
The song itself also borrows from Jimi Hendrix song "Purple Haze" but ín different key to avoid direct copy. "Hendrix" is the singer for "Cream" in the video. Which musicians the band with "David Bowie" on bass represent ?
I'm recommending Slow Cheetah, Make You Feel better, Hard To Concentrate, Torture Me, She's Only 18, Snow (Hey Oh) and Stadium Arcadium, Strip My Mind By Red Hot Chili Peppers
The beat in this song are very similiar to Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers Mary Jane's Last Dance from 1993. Then again Petty's beat at close to The Jayhawks -Waiting for the Sun from 1992. Both Dani California and Mary Jane's Last Dance were produced by Rick Rubin. An American rock radio station asked Petty to sue RHCP for plagiarism wihich he denied to do
Loving your reaction videos, keep it up with your positive vibe ✨️ Please react to By the Way and Can't Stop from the RHCP as well, great songs and video's in their own unique RHCP Style🙃
They are true survivors. They made it through the end of the 80sto the early 90s grunge era and beyond. Good music just holds up.
And now they're back!
Not to mention the heroin should've taken Anthony out 30 years ago. True survivors.
@@trentbobo4171 Same with John. respect
Agreed, Survivors or Sex Drugs and Rock n' Roll!
This was the song that my daughter "discovered " apparently the chili's are now a multi generational band... she couldn't believe that mamma knew and loved the chili's 😆😍
We're older, never had kids, but this would've been one of those, "NOW I see why I reproduced!" moments!
Right, same here. I was 14 when red hot chili peppers and vanilla ice came out, am now 45 and my kids love them
Thought they had Manson too, no?
This is my favorite RHCP song, how the video goes through the anals of rock history, Flea is killing it on bass and John's guitar solo is mind blowing
The Red Hot Chili Peppers are a great band. I saw them live probably a dozen times in the late 80s and then 90s. Crazy shows, you kids today have no idea. :)
That's just insulting. I'm 59 and I'd never presume to say that to any generation.

Whole album is amazing. Every song is different. John is such a monster on this album, very diverse.
new album in less than 2 months as well. Black Summer looks promising for the album too.
DEFINITELY in my top 5 Chili Peppers' songs. And I love the video, too- it's fun to pick out the bands and rock movements they're parodying in it. Another awesome RHCP song is "Zephyr Song," if you haven't listened to that one yet. 🤘

I discovered this song at the end of the Japanese live action Deathnote movie. It was instant love.
Same for me
Jay, this is just a taster. The Chili Peppers have so many great songs. All time greats.

Yes, I was hoping he’d get the different artists they were dressing like. Anthony looked like he was channeling Iggy Pop too at one point.
Their live concert at Slane Castle, Ireland, is awesome.
They're coming up on their 40th anniversary next year, having survived through 5 separate decades and a LOT of drug use in their early years, they're an awesome band. "Dark Necessities" is a groovy newer RHCP song you should check out.
The music video you’re watching is the history of rock and roll. I’m sure you know that but just making sure

Flea is explosive bass player, he's spontaneous improvisation is top notch
I have always loved the red hot chili peppers, but somehow this music video slipped past me and wow! I bet they had so much fun recording that. Brilliant band.
One of their masterpieces, such a great bar song
I love your videos man! You give such genuine and deep thought into every song and help me find a lot of the songs that I forgot. You hooked me onto your channel with Coldplay’s - The Scientist. You are a true audiophile of music!
RHCP one of my favourite bands since high school.. flea is an amazing base player… great track
Their cover of Stevie Wonder's song "Higher Ground" is smoking!!! Hard to beat an original but they did!
This song has stayed on all of my current playlists since it first came out.
One of the most entertaining videos.i love it

Great reaction! You should also check out RHCP’s songs “Can’t stop” and “other side”. “The adventures of rain dance Maggie “ is also a good one!
Such a good song!!! RHCP always bring the energy!
Never get tired of this, absolute vintage Chilli Peppers.
Not vintage but you could make a fair case that this is their absolute peak
Its IMPOSSIBLE to pick a "favorite song" by this band! They're ALL bangers! Just depends on how you feel that day, ya know?!
Nice reaction. Good post video comments. You were "on point" with your analysis. I also only discovered RHCP in these last few years and have come to really like this music video. Thanks! 😎
Otherside by RHCP is another great song.
Would love to see you react to some of their newer stuff as well, like "Dark Necessities"
Breaking the Girl is a totally different cool sound by the same group here. Highly recommend that one!
So excited to see them live later this year!!!
A hell of a GREAT BAND! Awesome Jay!!❤️
Great reaction! My favorite RHCP song.
I saw them early 90s in a club in new Orleans!! Everyone was losing their minds!!!😍😘🎶
Cannot wait to see them again in June!! Best band ever! I wouldn't say this was one of their best ( it's great still) but the video's fun. and can you believe 3 of these men are in their 60's??
Love this band! Saw them in concert about 5 years ago. Check out the song “Dark Necessities”. It has a funky sound!
Yeaaahhhhh that bass you love is the one and only FLEA, an Aussie born legend 🔥
They continue to prove themselves a all time top tier band
When they're rocking - this is how I love my RHCP.
When they're chilling - it's "Road Trippin'" for me. Pls check it out 🖤
You will LOVE The adventures of Raindance Maggie - such gutsy funk... Gawd theyre just sooo good.
Awesome album, can’t wait to see them live this year

This song is amazing one of my favourite RHCP songs
Yes! This is my favorite RHCP tune! Does Jayvee actually listen to these great songs multiple times when he hears one he really likes?
he escuchado esta cancion cientos de veces y nunca habia visto el video. 😋
"Tony Flow" will ALWAYS be the guy that the world listens to, but in a dream. 😎💯
Scar Tissue.... Can' t stop and of course Under the bridge 🥰! One of the best Bands ever!
New RHCP song coming out Feb 4th! Can't wait!
One of their songs that's really good and doesn't get a whole lot of play is Walkabout.
I agree. One of their best releases for sure. .
Such a great song and the video is fun. ✌❤
Flea is amazing. I never got to see these guys, but I saw Flea play with Thom Yorke in Atoms For Peace. 💜💜💜
Finally you do this banger and yes what took so long
The song itself also borrows from Jimi Hendrix song "Purple Haze" but ín different key to avoid direct copy. "Hendrix" is the singer for "Cream" in the video. Which musicians the band with "David Bowie" on bass represent ?
They are true musicians, I love them
Another great band! 💜💜💜
My favorire band the chilli Peppers
And their new single is epic!
I'm recommending Slow Cheetah, Make You Feel better, Hard To Concentrate, Torture Me, She's Only 18, Snow (Hey Oh) and Stadium Arcadium, Strip My Mind By Red Hot Chili Peppers
This & Under The Bridge...the two RHCP's tunes on my Spotify
I didn't remember this video! It's so cool 😚
For my money this song has their best guitar break. Never seen the vid. It’s a scream. Nice review as ever.
✌️ cool band♥️ never gets old!!
i never watched the video although i love the song, until now... really funny...like their band imitations....cool
that should say love the song but never saw video til now...came out wrong...lol

they never fail! Black Summer just released if you are looking for a new song from them.
Should react to “Tell me Baby “. 🎸🔥
RHCP has got to be the most versatile band ever
Awesome song.
Flea is honestly one of the best bass players around.
🔥🔥🔥
🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤ FAV!! 🥳
Definitely world class.
My man it would make my day if you reacted to the song “snow oh” by them, might turn out to be one of your favorite songs you’ve done on this channel!
Check out "Can't stop" by Red Hot Chili Peppers, it's a good one too!
What you are struggling to say when you interupt the song is that they are quality musicians who have excellent synchronicity.
❤❤❤ RHCP
Oh man, im so sure you will absolutely love their new song, black summer. give it a try :D
Best RHCP song of all time in my opinion
I like! 🔥🔥
Love this band xx have you listened to Can't Stop or By the Way? X
ABBA the day before you came official video 👌
I can't stop moving my body
Best vid EVER!!! Please do 'Knock Me Down'. One of their very best, imo.
RHCP is classified as Alt/Punk with a rock vibe.
Flea rules!!!
with RHCP I would go with old stuff like "Fight like a brave"
Peppers rock. Listen to Snow. It's perfect.
I love the Misfits outfits 🖤🤟🏻💋
Please react to "Give it away".Another banger 😍😍😍💜💜
Never a big fan of the RHCP but this album is so good
