Using Todoist with GTD? Here are 6 ways to Capture: ruclips.net/video/vRI7TR_ZLdo/видео.html Need help completing your Weekly Review? Let me walk you through it step by step: ruclips.net/video/bo5vrWQmlZE/видео.html
Great info! I have trouble with due dates as well. Going to try only putting due dates on things with real due dates and reminders for the rest like you said.
Thanks so much for the feedback! I'm glad you found this helpful! I think setting "false" due dates is so common in the beginning. My weekly review helps me continue to trust my system and not have to rely on those false due dates as much. Check out my weekly review video here if you want to see how I do that. ruclips.net/video/bo5vrWQmlZE/видео.html
This is the first video of yours I’ve watched and this is exactly what I’ve been looking for!! I’ve been wanting to start implementing my GTD system in a particular app….and this video was extremely helpful!! Unfortunately, I don’t find very many GTD related videos on RUclips, so you definitely have a lifelong subscriber here!! I’m looking forward to watching your other videos regarding GTD as well. If I do have any questions, what’s the best way to get in touch with you? Thank you for the wonderful, informative content!!! 🙏🏼✨😁
Glad to have helped! I also wasn't finding a lot of GTD videos on RUclips about people who were actually using it in real life (lots of videos talking about it in theory though) which was a big reason for me starting this channel. Feel free to reach out via email which you can find on my channel's page.
Glad it was helpful for you! Once I made the shift in only using true due dates, I felt so much more in control of my to do lists. Without my weekly review though, I don't think this would work because I would miss things. I talk about my weekly review process here: ruclips.net/video/hH6yyhBlC-I/видео.html
Welcome to the wonderful world of Todoist! I plan on making more videos on how I use other tools for GTD and will dive deeper into some Todoist features. Thanks for watching!
I find your videos helpful! As a visual learner, I would benefit from seeing your screen more as I listen to your explanation. Thank you for sharing your systems!
This is such a wonderful & idea-rich video-thanks! I'll have to come back & watch multiple times because it's more than I can assimilate in a single sitting. I wonder if it would be handy to distribute all your ideas as a Todoist project.
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it. All of this is just my own version of GTD implementation. I think so much of successful implementation is about finding a personalized setup that works for you. I hope people are able to find a nugget or two is this video that is helpful for their setup.
Welcome! I hope you love using Todoist as much as I do. I plan on making more videos on how I use Todoist, including some guides for beginners. Hope you stick around with me! Thanks for watching!
Another Todoist fan here... Great video! Just a tip, you should setup an ifttt.com automation to move those tasks in Alexa Inbox to the main Inbox. It's free and eliminates the task of moving tasks around. Just open 1 Inbox and you're done! ;-)
Thanks for the feedback! Todoist is so great. I definitely love IFTTT and thought they capped your applets at 3. I've only just learned that applies to custom applets. The pre-created ones are free though. Thanks for the tip!
loving your videos! Am going to recomend to my management team to help them get their task lists and email inbox under control! I need some advice though, I have tasks that I need to complete weekly, however they don't have a specific due date per say. Not sure how to set these up in todoist
Glad you love my videos. Thanks so much for sharing them! Sometimes I have tasks I *must* do by the end of the week and sometimes I have tasks I *want* to do by the end of the week. Chores usually fall into that second category. I give my Must Dos a due date in Todoist of Friday (or Saturday) to guarantee they get done by the end of the week. I have very few of these. The Want To Dos don't have a due date at all. I get to them when I get to them depending on contexts, energy, etc. To help avoid missing things, I always review all of my next actions lists during my weekly review. This helps ensure I don't have Want To Dos hanging out for too long. Alternatively, if it's for something like a routine, you might create a task in Todoist called Weekly Routine and either add subtasks or put info in the comments. If you want to complete these tasks weekly, you can give it a due date of "every week" so it shows up as due each week or "every! week" so it is due 1 week after you last completed it. Here's more info on recurring dates: todoist.com/help/articles/set-a-recurring-due-date Hope this helps!
Thanks for watching! Todoist and GTD are a powerhouse combination for me! I'm still learning and growing in my GTD practice. How long have you being following GTD and using Todoist?
@@OrganizingHigher It's an easy way for me to bookmark pages as I am doing web based research. I can then go into todoist and move them to the correct section in the project.

i ran into the due date debacle too.. my solution was to create a label called "due_date" and one called "reminder".. then you can clearly distinguish between the two and you click on your items in the due date label to see what deliverables are coming up. I have a filter "due in 30 days" which is: @due_date & 30 days

Thank you. You just added "wash dishes" to my to-do list! :D
Perfect!
I love the idea of naming projects with verbs to highlight the desired outcome of action. I'm going to go rename all my projects now!
Straight from the GTD playbook!

I didn't realize I could add tasks through Alexa. This is going to save me so much time.
Yes! I do this all the time still. Set up the IFTTT integration and it’s really simple.
Can’t believe I hadn’t thought just to put a reminder instead of due date on tasks that don’t really need a due date! Love the video!!
Sometimes simple solutions evade us. Glad I could help you make an improvement to your system!

Glad to help! This video is a bit dated and my system has changed from this. I'll try do an updated video soon.
You have now added wash dishes to my to-do list.
Ha! Well, clean dishes are always a good thing. :)
Fantastic suggestion about only using actual due dates. Thank you. I'm going to implement that in my todoist.
