Amazing video man, and well hiked! I might take the same route you have taken! Thanks for adding the GPS tracking log ❤ Any thoughts about the hike, tips and things that you could have done differently. Gear you wished you had brought with you?
Thank you so much! The Hike was part of my attempt to 'create' a new alpencrossing from Luzern to Locarno. That Year I had to abandon my plans at around 1/3 of the distance due to bad weather in the most critical parts. I returned the next summer and did the whole thing in 11 days. I haven't uploaded the video yet but if you are interested I can send you the gps file for the whole crossing and a couple of links to lengthy raw videos. It's a very demanding crossing with 16.000m+ and 211 km in 10 days on alpine trails. (I had to stop for a day because of very bad weather and beeing flooded in a thunderstorm the night before) Regarding your question, I have my gear pretty much squared away but I do wish there was a less burdensome way to carry camera equipment. One thing though, the backpack I took on the first attempt almost broke my back. I was trying so save weight with a super light pack but those are not made to carry 16kg for 12h per day. If you do this I wish you the best weather, it is a beautiful trip! :-)
Awesome! Im very interested in this! I'll dm my gmail to you! That seems like a long hike you did! I dont think my bad knee is up for this extreme longhike that you accomplished. I broke it halfway in to a 4day hike in Sweden some years ago(Abisko-Nikkaluokta, 108km). But it was mostly because of the heavy pack of 45kg. It was hell making it the last bit 😓 But this short one you did can be a great introduction to swiss alps! 👍 How is it with wildcamping in Switzerland, and did you just stay at designated areas?
45kg is obviously way too much for any kind of hike. :-) Wildcamping is almost never allowed but the the exact laws differ from kanton to kanton. Generally you can biwak (that includes pitching a small tent) above the treeline though as long as you're not in a nature preserve or on privat property. Always make sure you're within the law since the fines are heavy. I did biwak in the wild most of the time. Once I asked to pitch my tent next to a small privat hut and once I slept in a hut because my gear was soaked from the night before and had to dry. There are also 3 camping places and an open hut along the route. You can see some of the biwi places in the non public raw videos of the trip: ruclips.net/video/1WU5B00aIec/видео.html ruclips.net/video/bCxkifuQYZ0/видео.html ruclips.net/video/8IfaWdD3yPg/видео.html ruclips.net/video/QscHIjGVZhM/видео.html ruclips.net/video/QivmY4EZnkY/видео.html ruclips.net/video/X1TUVZreo_M/видео.html ruclips.net/video/syY7WeX-NkM/видео.html ruclips.net/video/aJkFpZ6G3SA/видео.html ruclips.net/video/qVPTngep5IY/видео.html ruclips.net/video/lm5ElKnWX4A/видео.html ruclips.net/video/u02Im2yqel8/видео.html
@@chochmah Okey, I read that the fines can be around 10k€! But I guess you have to be very reckless and un-polite to ever be fines like that. This was a very relaxing watch, great quality ASMR 👍 I ordered a small 1,5kg 1man tent, instead of using my bivouac. How much did you spend moneywise on this trip? Im going from Sweden to Schweiz with a Interrail pass on Monday(If I hopefully get my tent) And after watching your hike videos, Im even more excited to go!
Sorry, I just saw you comment today. Switzerland is generally pretty expensive, especially if you visit resaurants and sleep in hotels but even the mountain huts aren't cheap. I can't remember how much I spend but it was quite a bit. Wish you a great journey! Have fun!
