You just showed me how I can make use of all the plastic padded envelopes I have. I knew there was a reason to keep them. Shhh 🤫 don’t tell my family that I save recyclables. Actually, they already know! Great ideas come from great minds!! 😘Also fabulous fabric cover, so contemporary!!
Well darn, I have been tossing the plastic ones but saving the paper ones thinking they would make good journals because I like the crinkly sound they make.

I lived on Cherry Log mountain which was halfway between Blue Ridge and Ellijay and worked in Blue Ridge before I met my hubby and moved just outside of Atlanta
I was rummaging around my garage where I have a ton of totes full of fabric. I found a bunch fabric swatches I had forgotten I had. I was so excited! They are all neutral colors and perfect for journal covers.
My first and only (so far) journal was one i made from a small padded envelope I covered with an upholstery fabric swatch/sample! Wow! I'm cutting edge!
I started making these last year during the lovely lockdown and they are so soft and squishy along with crinkly sounding. They are fun, quick and easy which is what my attention span needs. :)
Wow factor at its best! Fantastic squish-ability. Love this. I love the tactile feeling and sound of paper and this padded envelope and fabric just added to the feel-factor. That's probably why I prefer reading a real book instead of a tablet or ipad. Maybe a tablet would be ok on a plane where reading in the dark is difficult 🤷♀️🤪 Anyway, this was great. So many great ideas here. I am sure you must get some help from Sunny and Holly. They give you such support. Thank you for showing us more inventive journal making. God bless! 🥰

Beautiful job. I did make one from an Amazon envelope but never covered it. Thanks for the idea! Hello Sunny 🌞! Love your videos. Cheers from Montreal! Take care.❤❤❤
What a great use on an envelope! Love the idea and thanks for showing the “resizing” ....is always a little daunting to try and fix things one wants to change after some of the project is glued.....you make it not scary at all, totally doable. I also loved the binding method width the wider material. I must try this! Thanks so much!!
Absolutely love this it's so stinkin pretty. I bet if you use carpet tape it would attach to both the bag and the material very well that is if you're not using a sewing machine. I like that kind of crinkle the kind of crinkle that is annoying is the kind that is used for packaging that clear packaging stuff.🥰🐞🤗
