I adore this process; even though work is taking up too much of my time, this week! 😖🤣 I mean, I'm a day late!! 😡 Hi to Snouty, whenever you find him 🐾 & the feather-y chorus, sounding in tune today 🎶 btw those lists...I second, other peoples' wishes to have a copy of them ..monthly newsletter?? hello from windy, chilly Denmark 🌸🌬
Everyone needs to know...I have ordered from Pam fundles...even though Sunny makes an appearance and Holly the gray bird entertain us...The papers are fresh, and clean...no musty smells or pet surprise odors.. In case you needed to know. Very pristine reckless abandon!! Love your series with this book!!
Hello!!! Thank you very much for your videos!! I see you from Bordeaux in France and il learn my english with you. I love all you made!!! Merci you're amazing!!! Do
I found your channel at the beginning of this series, and im hooked! I'm brand new to junk jornals, but you've made it very easy to have a blast and follow along! Thank you, I cant wait for more episodes! Thanks Pam!
Hi sis , papa sunny n feathers , so so close not quite there , 400 to go , think end of week u be there , oh wow am I the proudest sis , just knew u get there , much love n many hugs xxx sp
You have see how Natasha uses empty pen barrels on the outside of her journals. Treasure books, if you haven't already. I can so see you doing that I love the idea of your lists. That is so helpful.
Hey Pam, just wanted to say thank you for teaching about contrast in all your videos - it is really helpful to creatives like me that don't really have an 'arty' background! Maremi small arts gave me courage to use watercolor and it is good to learn from people like yourself who, as you say, start 'creating with reckless abandon'! Just appreciate you and love your videos - hugs to Sunny and yer birds! Hugs from Canada 🙃💐🐞
Absolute Fun!!! Always looking forward to your videos!! Everyone here is just sooooo supportive and not judgemental at all. So I can create with RECKLESS ABANDON....MENT! Enjoy your day all!
Happy Monday Morning! I'm really enjoying this series and I have been following along but a little behind, I will have to re-watch and catch up. We are getting warmer weather today here in New York and if the sun comes out it will be a good day. Hope you have a beautiful warm day, take care! 💜
BeedyMcBeedy uses colored chalk or pastels to give edges a little definition, too. He/she uses colors that harmonize or contrast with the theme colors, which makes certain elements really pop. I don't think they have a RUclips channel, but they have an Etsy shop where you can see their chalk work. The colors give things a very artistic look. Envelopes with black borders were used to send death announcements to friends and family who couldn't come to the funeral. Sad origin, but I like the way you made it look joyful!
Pam, I just love this series! I'm just starting my first journal but watched a bit before I jumped in. Lol. You are so good at explaining how and why you do things that it's making it very easy for me to follow along! Your sense of humor has me lol'ing most days! I'm curious do you have more pet family members than Sunny and Holly? Also do you ever show Holly in a video? I would love to meet the rest of your family! Sunny is sooooo adorable! Thanks again for sharing your insight, creativity, art and of course Sunny with us!
Hi Jerry and happy to meet you :) I have Sunshine my Maltese, Holly my African gray, Happy and Leonardo my 2 love birds. :) Holly shows up in my dried flowers video and there are some pictures of everybody on the community tab on my channel in RUclips :)
Hi Pam :) I can’t begin to tell you how much I am learning from this series ! Watching one of your journals be born right before our eyes is magical ❤️ Thank you so much for sharing 🙂
Amazing as always….I had to go back and check all the other videos again just because you said Part 6 instead of 7…..twice….lol! I could watch these over and over again anyways! You are amazing! Thanks so much! 📕📕📕📕📕📕📕📕📕📕📕📕📕📕📕
Oh I realized that too and i think it's very dangerous for me to commit 2 numbers in a video not really knowing what number I'm on so i will have to cross check myself in the future thanks
Good Morning 🌞 Pam and Sunny, This is a wonderful series and I am finding it very helpful. ❤ Thank you for sharing your knowledge and creativity with all of us. Laura
Cricut is pronounced like “cricket”, I know, it doesn’t look like it would but trust me….it is! Not to criticize but because inquiring minds wanna know. Big hugs……so fun getting your tips and tricks! TYFS
Mornin' Pam. This was a good video for me. I'm still having some trouble gluing flips in, I always over glue I guess so the flips are too stiff to flip easily. So thanks for the re-do. 😁 Regards to the menagerie and Papa too. Hope you all have a great day. 🌞
Hi Donna! :) I hear you and I have had those same concerns.. Try less glue and have more clearance at the fold of the flip from the page and give it lots of airtime to dry so and then fold it and train the fold.. Hopefully these tips will help :)
Great video Pam. Love the embossed envelope, just knew when you said 'just the corners' with the gold wax, it wouldn't stop there and no surprise when you did the centre and beyond 😂😂😂 was waiting for the sticklers too, then thought not yet too sticky, but the button was just right. Luv n hugs from Victoria 👍👏🏼😘🇬🇧
Mornin' Miss Pam☕ I absolutely loved this video- I love all of them but as a newbie to JJ I found so many ideas that will help take the beginners fear away!! I already did my first altered book Christmas JJ from a Readers Digest book, and girl let me tell you it's a hot mess lol I don't think I should have done an altered book as my very first JJ.. I didn't gut the book so to speak as you did,I just removed book pages here and there which was a lot harder than I thought it would be..Everyone that sees it tells me how cute they think it is,but I think it's to bulky..But I have learned soooo much from you and I am so grateful for your amazing talent and awesome personality!! Thank you for teaching newbies like me how to have reckless abandonment and lots of fun doing it!! Sending you love and hugs from Kentucky 💙🧵🌺📚
Lol, I love accents and I think they are very fun to do even though I am horrible at them! :) I was blessed to go to Ireland once and I absolutely fell in love with the people! :)
Tfs, this is just what I needed for my 2nd journal, I've just started using envelopes. I love the piece of fabric flip, gonna use this, also the gold on the white envelope, and the fabric tab, all great ideas. Really enjoying this series of slow crafting.
Cool flips, Pam! Thanks for the long-form project! This question could go for any episode, but where do you source your big Scotch Create glue sticks? I can't find them locally, and online is over $3 each plus shipping 😥
I love this question because you’ll receive many diverse answers. When I describe my obsession with junk journals to my friends I say remember when you were younger and every note, picture, drawing, doodle, concert ticket, dance invitation, you saved and tucked away. I would of loved to have this during that time to save and cherish every treasure. Now that I’m older I still save bits and pieces of ephemera not a lot but some that I truly love to look at every so often and they’re safe and put away inside a beautiful book on my shelf. Some use them as small scrapbooks for pictures, recipes, journaling. It’s also a great project for using up my beautiful scrapbook papers I have been collecting (hoarding) 😊 I hope this was helpful.
Hi Elaine that's a great and very logical question! :) I loved the idea of handmaking my own book when I 1st came across the concept. Then it occurred to me that this should be a life skill and everybody should make a book at least once in their life. Books books are a way of leaving a little piece of art legacy here after we are gone plus plus they can do so many other things. My 1st junk journal was a watercolor book and I made lots of paintings in that book.. Then I started to learn how to learn how to make decorations or embellishments and started to have fun handmaking those.. Then I fell in love with old papers and older femra and then I started to add that to my books. Then I started to understand the concept of what the book was truly only how I defined it in my mind . The book can be anything that you like and you can make it for any reason that you lthen that you like. It can be a traditional writing style journalOr it can be an art journal or a recipe book or a catalog of your events through life it can be a diary a scrapbook, it can be a picture book, There is something inherently valuable about a book, any book and a handmade book seems to have an extra level of the level of intrigue and curiosity and curiosity and personality. My goodness I could go on and on about this topic and I think you just gave me my next topic for my junk journal Podcast!! The paper Outpost Podcast! Thanks and have fun!!:)
Do you put lotion on your hands before you do all that so it washes off easier? Or do you just say hang at all?! I can just imagine you saying hang it all… :-)

The fabric you were using to attach the envelope.. when you were doing the glue smoosh on it, totally liked like bacon 😂

What is your reason for producing journals? I have often wondered. Others could answer that for me too if you would. Curious.

I’m watching this video when I should be sleep. Trying not to get up and fill my journal with envelope fold outs at 2:32 am 😭😩
The envelope edged on brown will have been used to send regarding the death of a dear one.

I know you're the Paper Outpost, but I've noticed you don't put much in the way of fabric in your journal. Any specific reason?
?
