Blocking out that Twin Twisters with Yata is what Cross Banlist Cup was made for.
It really is funny hearing people say that Yata is fine and can come back. If you've never played it or played against it it does look very unassuming, but trust me the card is still pretty stupid.

@@williamcronshaw5262 Yata Garatsu wouldn't see play in today's format if it came to three, it's ridiculously slow, unsearchable, and without a good replacement for CED pre-eratta you won't be yata-locking anyone.

Windwitch brick. Also if I'm not mistaking Wing is a hard counter to Chaos unless he had BLS to bait him then go into CED

In game 4 is there a reason you couldnt have used Monster Reborn on DMoC and then used its effect to get MR again and then reborn BLS with it?
Probably a misplay like when he didn't use time seal to prevent a possible top deck.

I was so hopeful for Chaos to win! Well, if anything, Invoked can beat Monarchs easier than BA. Next match is interesting, a rematch, I will say Invoked 3-2, last time they kinda bricked, this is more fair as its best of 5.

That was so close! Very impressed with both decks. As for next match... it’s such a hard choice. Crystal wing and mechaba are both insane, but all the floating from ba, super explosive boards, stun power via fog blades...
I think im going to give it to ba 3-2. A very close 3-2 though. Can’t wait for the finals...

I wonder what's the plan going to be next year?
I reckon it should be renamed to something like link vrains cup with a whole bunch of older decks which have been powered up by links as well as post master rule 4 archetypes like World Chalice or Prankids, if a deck doesn't have a decklist from sites like Beyond the Duel, KoTR and Ygorganization then perhaps the community could come up with a decklist or if it has been featured on the channel use the list from that video.
I'd like to think of it as the annually running tournament celebrating all the decks of Master Rule 4 both new and old.
Hey lithium i wasnt so specific before. So yea, this would be losers semis. Anything on the right wise would be winners. Eg, Winners top 16, top 8. Winners semis, winners finals. Left side would be losers top 16, top 8, losers semis (this match), losers finals. And lastly grand finals. Also in grand finals, if BA play EDMonarchs again, Say BA were to win the first Bo5 3-1, 3-2... BA would not be the champions because ED Monarchs are now moved to the losers bracket as well, just like BA did when they lost in losers finals. So basically in the end BA have to win two full sets in order to be crowned champions and obv EDM don't because they came from winners (that's obv their adv from not losing yet).Sorry if this is long, hope its not confusing. I love this fucking series and just want to help make it easier cause sometime you just feel as if you dont know what way to describe it. Anyways, thanks for the content! (Also if you knew about the grand final thing sorry, just thought i should say it just in case

This was way closer than I ever expected it to be. I'd say Invoked wins 3-1 solely due to Dimensional Barrier and Scythe. PK Fire has no outs to it if Scythe/D Barrier gets used on their first turn.
Great match. Sixth Sense was deffo the MVP for Chaos. Next match I'll go 3-2 for Invoked.

So glad invoked won this. Really excited for the next matchup. I'm hoping PK fire can pull through the next match since BA is a personal favorite of mine. I think the match will be 50/50 between pk and invoked

So Chaos fell to invoked... a shame really but it was a rematch to PK fire regardless.
Based on the last one i'm going to give the edge to PK fire 3-2 again. But honestly it will be interesting to see any on of the two decks take on monarchs. PK fire for a rematch or invoked going for a shot.
Of course, the one time I root for Chaos, they can’t pull it out... :(

WW takes it in 4 IMO just due to all the hate (D-barrier, maxx c, scythe). Only reason PK Fire takes one is out of sheer dumb luck.

Finally Chaos is out! I hate those old decks, that don't even have a proper archetype or beautiful artworks!
The only errata I can think of that would make yata kind of "fair" would be something like "You can't summon this card if you control a monster (/card?) and you can't summon monsters (/activate or summon other cards?) after you summoned this card." ... or something like that. Then again, like so many other erratas out there, it would make yata kinda useless I guess. Thus, whatever you make with it, it seems wrong^^

I'm sad Chaos lost but I'm glad it was in the tournament. Chaos really kept things interesting. But I didn't like Chaos only because they won via sheer luck and god knows I find the game more fun when the "good" design of decks get to shine. If any other deck lucked their way through, it would hardly be as remarkable. This is yugioh after all.
For me, it wasn't just about how Chaos won, but what it represented. It can be argued that every other deck in the CBC are simply deliberately designed engines meant to be as consistent as possible, leaving as little room as possible for chance or luck. But not Chaos. It epitomized the dark coin-flip at the heart of yugioh beyond the initial rock-paper-scissors. It rebelled against the near religious idea that the more consistent, the more well-designed, the more deliberate deck should win (not that that was necessarily the case anyway). A hobnob of almost unrelated cards barely glued together by association, Chaos appeared to thoroughly embrace the unpredictable chaos at the core of yugioh. It was the underdog devil of the tournament. Every time Chaos won, it wasn't just an undeserved deck winning. Instead, Chaos became a demon materialized out of the fears of any challenging deck, reminding them that their implicit purpose of order and consistency was futile. This would be unremarkable and probably poor writing if Chaos barely won. Instead, its continued successes made it out to be an entertaining villain for some unwritten story.
Good tournaments require an element of consistency--stronger decks should usually beat weaker ones. And better tournaments require an element of chance to keep things just interesting enough. But the best tournaments? They need a story. And for the CBC, Chaos gave it just that.

There are few things I love more than the satisfaction I felt everytime he negated Sixth Sense, has to be one of the dumbest cards ever printed.
Im impressed(In a Bad way) that chaos got this far, it has some Really good and extremely broken powerplay/cards but still, beating some incredibly consistent and strong decks was so fucking pathetic, the deck solely relied on Extremely situational lucksacks to carry itself to this point of the tournament so Yeah i think Chaos did not deserve how far it got on the tournament.
I'm sick of seeing invoked already stupid bricky sack deck that has been sacking through the tournament all because of the artifact engine I bet another version without Artifacts would have lost
Please people, no banlist.dek in the 2019 cup. I want to see something different.
