Really like how they are keeping the way the sleeves are more fitted to the cards, and now making them clear instead of opaque.
The opaque ones are useless.

the art on all of the cards even the commons are my favorite out of all the scarlet and violet sets, just beautiful!

I would like if there was more varied texture to the rarer cards. As of now its just kinda ridges and ripples, it'd be cool to have like fluctuations in texture that vary by subject
So Japanese cards actually have this! The problem is that English cards don’t have the texture map sent over, which leads to TPCI employed artists having to manually recreate the textures based off the Japanese cards and within the limitations of the international print machines.
That rainbow art is really cool I’m glad they added depth instead of strait rainbow.
I used to have this HUGE collection 20+ years ago as a kid. Due to unfortunate circumstances, it all disappeared. Thanks to watching these videos and others, I've just restarted my collection
I love that the Squirtle and Bulbasaur illustration rare go with the Charmander promo from obsidian flames
I knew it looked familiar. Now I absolutely have to get both of them.
I think they were all in one Japanese set if I’m not mistaken. English chose the charmander card as a promo and didn’t do anything with the squirtle and bulbasaur until now ?

The art rares alone are what make the scarlet and violet era possibly my fav era
They are why I started collecting again. Some of the illustrations on the full art cards are insane
It’s wild going back to the Sun/Moon and early Sword/Shield era and seeing how most of the chase cards were rainbow variants. Some look cool, but they always gave off a lazy vibe… like when you open a blind box figure and get a “rare” gold version that’s devoid of any detail not already present in the mold. I’d prefer the full art trainer with a proper background than just rainbow on rainbow.
@@StarrNOM right? I was never really a fan of those, especially the rainbows because I wanna see the actual colors and artwork. The rainbow I felt like took away from that
I like the set up of the new PC etb’s. They are using a tray vs the cardboard insert. I feel like the tray is more functional and keeps everything in place better. Hopefully they integrate the trays into the regular etb’s soon.
Id love to see behind the scenes. Like what you do with the cards and trash after the "opening".
Honestly same, I wonder if he throws them off to the side and cleans it up after opening it all or if there's a trash by him.
I like the player's guides, they're so helpful when opening the new sets
So excited for the new clear sleeves and the rainbow border cards look so cool. Also love the illustration rare and how the squirtle and bulbasaur go with the obsidian flames charmander promo getting the kanto trio would be so cool!
I have that promo so the squirtle and bulbasaur are definitely chase cards for me

I love etb’s because you get the booklet that shows all the cards in the set!
Etb gives you the sleeves which are quite colourful for some sets
oh yeah you right, the promo card i like to top load 1 still in sleeve and 1 opened in a penny sleeve. But now with them packed in with the spacers that will not work out...
The new non milky sleeves are so good, that was always my biggest problem with them

THEY CHANGED THE SLEEVES
If I remember correctly, the previous ETBS had opaque/cloudy sleeves, making it a little bit difficult to see the art, but now they're completely transparent!
I noticed that too. I have issues with some of the sleeves being too tight as well. I would use them more often if they had a looser fit but making them completely clear on the front is a good start.
About time, the other ones were pretty awful

The sleeves are also bqck to the old etb type, without the opaque part!
The new sir cards with the rainbow border look really nice. The energys look nice too. Also not a fan of them putting the promo and the dividers together

I’m loving this set! Hit rates are a lot better compared to TWM and TEF, and I really like the Terapogos along with rainbow border cards. I managed to pull the Lacey at a prerelease on Sunday and the set just seems so much more fun to open compared to more recent sets.
I think it’s good that the promo is packed with the dividers. I got paldean fates etb and the promo somehow got all bent so hopefully the dividers can prevent that from happening

We're totally going for stellar crown! Can't wait! We're going to a pokemon event in the Netherlands on the 22th, that will be a great day, probably very expensive too, but great! 😂

the promo bundled with the card dividers are pretty neat idea. I've seen some horrible creases on the promos from shipping mishaps..
Personally, I am the most excited for the Celebi, Ponyta, Marill, and Lechonk. I think the artwork on them are incredible! As far was the illustration rares, I love the Bulbasaur (but probably could never afford it LOL)!
The artwork on Elite Trainer Boxes is consistently breathtaking! Each design is a visual masterpiece that perfectly captures the essence of the set, showcasing incredible details and vibrant illustrations. It’s always exciting to see what creative themes and stunning visuals the next ETB will bring.
The promo card is definitely more protected this way, there's little to no risk of it getting bent. But it does make it hard to keep it sealed... 😅🤷♀

I like that the sleeves aren't that weird matte material that both feels awful and makes it so you can't see the foil as well... this change is good.

These are the prettiest arts I think they've come out with so far, even the regular ones are super cool!
I think it’s better the promo card being in the same sleeve as the dividers because the deviders give support to the card which should keep it in better condition during shipping. Especially with how much mail delivery companies kick parcels around.

I hope if they go forward with the promos they would maybe consider sealing it with just 1 of the dividers so it can be kept sealed but also still have 3 dividers available to use bc I dont like that I probably wont be able to fit this in my binder now. Also the fact you have to open the card just so you can use the dividers 😬
good thing they have finally decided to put the promo card along with the dividers to protect the card from being bent or dented

I love the noctowl promo in this etb. This whole set has been great, love the art for just about every card.
I did a pre release on Thursday, 9/5, one of the rounds I let my opponent pick the booster pack we got for thst round... he pulled the SIR Terapagos. I was SO jealous!

I stopped playing Pokemon TCG like 10 years ago. Started playing 2-3months ago and really like what they have been adding since then.
The rainbow cards are pretty cool. I liked the rainbow rare cards and it was a shame how they stopped putting them in sets.
The rainbow borders are so cool, it’s only a slight change but it feels like a whole different type of card

Not a fan of the dividers with the box promo. Just opened my first 2 ETB last night and the box promo was in a package by itself. That’s way better.

I have been WAITING for this set. I’m so pumped to do a full completion binder for this set. I’ve been saving up so that I can complete this Scarlet and Violet set. All the artworks are SOOOOO good. Squirtle is definitely my chase card
