A: F2 - BIOS, F12 - Diagnostic Options
Q: What if you cant change between Legacy and UEFI?
A: If you cant find those options or cant change between them, move on and continue with the rest of the video. What was the result of the Dell diagnostic scan?
Q: Changing the settings in BIOS didn't help and the scan passed everything :(
A: If changing the settings in BIOS did not help and the diagnostic scan showed the hard drive to be healthy, then you can proceed with the rest of the video. You can try the Repair or Recovery options in BIOS or undoing the last update if applicable. If that does not help, your last resort would be to install a new operating system.

Q: I cant run the diagnostic scan. It wont complete or I cant access it.
A: If you cannot run the scan, we don't know for sure if the HDD is healthy or not. We will have to continue troubleshooting assuming it is for now. If its healthy, and if the issue is operating system related, I would then reinstall it.

Ok, I have a question for you. I have a inspiron 15 that had the boot fail. I checked the HD and it showed to be bad so I got a SSD and swapped it out. Getting the OS from Microsoft was a pill. The system would not give me a usb option so I had to use the ISO and rufus. I did all that and I have my os back and the system is working!! I now have a new problem. When I leave the Laptop for a bit it crashes and goes back to the no bootable device screen. I can restart the PC and it boots back up like its supposed too, but I leave it alone it crashes... Any advice? Thanks!!
Hey I really have learned a lot from you and really appreciate it. I have a question though. I have a dell Inspiron 1525 and recently added windows 10. Now I just got this laptop from a thrift store. Anyway I noticed it had a lot of issues so I put my parted magic cd into the cdrom and it wouldn't boot up. It went into a grub> menu? So I decided to just reboot the laptop now it's telling me there is no operating system found and it was there not 5 minutes ago. Have you ever encountered anything like this before?

Not me pausing the video and realising i had a flash pluged in the laptop then removed it and boom it worked after 2 hours of searching and reading about boot and stuff damn!

My dell laptop is opening and showing only white light on the background but its not showing any thing on the screen like icons arrow no the desktop or any thing and its just opening in puting chager not can open without charge and after opening laptop its sounds are listening but the screen is not showing only white back ground can be seen

All tests passed. No bootable devices found. Stop code driver pnp watchdog

@@PC_Monkey all results are passed, nothing has happened but I hope unfortunately ì deleted efi partitions 🥹unknowingly
@@PC_Monkey unknowingly while merging partitions I deleted efi healthy recovery partitions, can you help me there I hope it was the problem and system is not even opening the Home Screen
@@sarathsai1426 If you deleted the recovery partition, you most likely will not be able to reset or recovery your OS. You may need to reinstall.

My laptop looks a little different so I’m getting a little confused, I have the operation system not found problem. I tried to get to as close as what you said to do. I tried going back to factory setting in the BIOS. But still nothing. Hasn’t been working for ab 8 months but I thought I might try to get it working again.
Also sometimes it show preparing automatic repair but stays on that screen and does nothing
I believe I have a windows 7 Sony laptop.
@@samurxiii76691. Sony is not the same brand as Dell so the function key would be different. Have you tried the other function keys? Can you get into BIOS with any of them and try these steps?

@@PC_Monkey no spills or overheating or any update. I turned it off one night and it started doing that I was really confused I’ve tried a lot to get it working but I just haven’t had any solutions.

No I checked any stains on my laptop bag and there's no stains to show water or drink spills, but it won't charge and I can't reach the battery , and my laptop is a Huawei matebook D15 . I hope you can help me 😢
