@@TheCrazyredman you better don't do a macro for this because in many cases it's better to sum an other pet (most likely felhound). Assuming all the relevant spells have key binds it's really not hard to press 3 buttons.

Decent video bro. Few other tips you missed:
1. howl of terror - very good vs hunter and pet or any 2on1 situation.
2. drain life range is 20 yards only or 24 with grim reach. and without fel concentration its going to suck cock in pvp.
3. shadow ward vs priest other warlocks
4. vs other warlocks its all about the fear- and banish or fear the void so he can't sacrifice it. you can't sac a void walker while it is CC.
5. swiftness potions
6. invisibility potions for world pvp to get away. never cry about being camped
7. living action potions or free action potions vs rogues
8. limited invulnerability potions
9. succy- in vanilla no cd on seduction, but her mana will go low so disable some of her auto casts.
10. one more time: use your healthstones EVERY FIGHT. so many noobs dont use them.
11. also leveling vs higher level players go in the water they can't move faster than you in the water and often cant catch you. get a swim speed potion or swim speed belt and you're golden.
12. health funnel is total shit in vanilla dont use it.
13. put on detect invisibility and water breathing all the time because they are magic buffs and when someone tries to dispell your demon armor they may dispel them instead. ALSO detect invisibility can see mages that go invisible. and in vanilla, players can not see each others buffs without casting mage spell to see them.
14. dont depend on nightfall- its so unpredictable sadly.
15. if you are not moving while casting instant cast spells you're doing something wrong. ALWAYS move towards or away from your target. key to warlock is movement and CC while hard casting.
16. get 8% move speed on boots. use movement trinket- swiftness potions.
you didn't do much more in talents but i must tell you that the spec you showed is my favorite. CONFLAGRATE all the way.

Great work man thx, and here are some additional notes:
You can not dispel Curses with your Felhunter only Magic Effects, also CoT reduces also the DoT damage of the enemy.
Also if you know you cant keep a Warrior away from you (for example you have no Succubus out and he is Fear immune which is very often the case) I would recommand to use Death Coil as late as possible. In the last moments of a fight the Warrior is most dangerous because he has generated rage and you drop low. What you can try in a 1vs1 is to DoT the Warrior such that he has to change is stance to charge you and then Death Coil his charge before he is at you (this is tricky) - movement speed enchant helps as well. That way the Warrior loses all his gap closing abilities (if he is not an Engi).
If you have CoE (for example if you are SM / Ruin) and your a Gnome:
You can try vs Warriors and Rogues is Escape Artist into CoE. If the Warrior is not careful you can sometimes create distance which i.e. win.

Cool vid. I definitely leaned a few things. Warlock is a new class for me.
You forgot to mention the soul link shadowburn spec. You go 31 in demo for soul link and all the juicy stuff that brings, at least 5 in aff to get instant corruption. And at least 11 in destro to get imp shadowbolt, bane and shadowburn. The remaining 4 points can be spent on devastation for 4% crit, on supression for 8% reduced resists on aff spells, or 2 on imp lifetap for more mana sustain.
This spec is like the SL spec you showed... but it can cast immolates faster, it has fast cast shadowbolts and soulfires, and it has shadowburn for bigger burst damage. With decent PvP gear you can still retain the 1 shotcombo of fear -> soulfire/shadowbolt+shadowburn, while packing the OP demonology defense.
This spec is way more versatile in the sense that you can kinda be a budget mage if you sacrifice a succubus, because you got better shadowbolts and a shadowburn too. (obviously deep destro is better at being a glass cannon budget mage, but it lacks any sort of defense if you get jumped. SL shadowburn has decent burst while being insanely tanky)

Is there addon that shows the duration of fear or howl of terrror has left haven’t played played in many years and looking for some help with add ons.
Is it possible to use a macro that when you use spellstone, another offhand gets equipped? at least this would get you some more spell damage after use.

In Vanilla I always ran a 7/31/13 build to get the shadowburn...nightfall is great and all but garunteed shadowburn can be awesome. I thought that build was the best by far.

Affliction warlocks always trump destruction spec. If both are equally talented/skilled.
I don’t know how many destruction locs talk about how they eat up affliction locs so I duel them I destroy them and they can’t figure out why.
But I had a ton of fun with destruction just watching the damage melt players. In that moment you out DPS a mage on destruction is awesome.

1:05 Heads up. The improved drain life talent does not increase your total drain life damage after spell damage has been added. It only affects the base values, I've tested this. This means that at final rank you won't drain 71 life per tick but 78, and then spell damage will be added on top of that. Overall, bad talent.
It's not bad, it has double value because drain life deals decent damage and heals at the same time. Using it when you don't have time to fully cast a shb is great.

Thanks for the Info. Does the spellstone need to be equipped to dispell debuffs? If so are there macros for unequiping current equipment and using the stone before re-equiping?
You can make a macro to equip your offhand again, but it would have to be on a separate keybind, don't think you can do it in the same macro.

Great guide! The only thing is that I play an alliance warlock. And 99% of horde rogues are undead. So like.. I feel pretty helpless when they just ignore my CC and murder me

in organized pvp (10vs10 or 15vs15), all warlocks should either use felpuppy or suc-sex-doll. a successful on seduce and fear opposite team's healers or un-sheep ur team's healer mean a lot more

@Executus Gaming How do you activate PVP although GM mode is active for the demonstration? If I activate the GM mode I can't attack pvp targets anymore?!
If GM mode is on, you cannot attack players. You don't have to be in GM mode to spawn in gear or items.
@@ExecutusGaming Thanks for your quick feedback, but I mean something else. I mean the fact that in minute 17:52 you damage the Warrior, but he doesn't die even though his Life Bar drops to 0. It seems to me that he is immortal even though he is not in GM mode?! I ask so precisely because I am looking for a way to use an immortal training dummy for tests.
@@leroo7031 That character is actually me, I'm just dual boxing. All GM accounts (with a GM of level 3 or higher, max 6) have a default God mode. The command is .god off or .god on i think. Maybe try .godmode off/on. You don't have to be in GM mode to activate this. Regardless, it should be defaulted though.

Do you think it's worth playing Warlock on alliance for PvP? Or are they too gimped from WoTF and Shamans?
I still think its worth it, locks on ally are always in need.
Which race is better for warlock, Orc or Undead? I know UD get WoTF and cannibalize , but Orcs get 25% chance to resist stuns.
I vote for orc, simply because melee classes are a bigger threat to Warlocks. Rogues might even think twice about targeting you if there's a non-orc nearby. Undead do look better in dresses though.

Pedro J 11:55 felhunters can not dispell curses
Curse of reckless is very good during PVE especially with mobs which are runing in fear with low hp. Just put curse of reckless (rank 1) and instantly they are comming back. It's very good against murlocks :D
I have a question: Why do you not like 31 points in demonology? Already the soulbound effects reducing the damage you get by 30 % means, that the enemy has to deal 42,8 % more damage to kill you. Example:
Both have 1.000 health and do 100 dps. So one of you dies in 10 seconds. With soulbound he needs 14,8 seconds to kill you. And that does not include the pet bonus like the 60 resistance or 10 % melee damage reduction!
Because your kill potential without conflagrate will be very low. PvP isn't about dps it's about bursting when you have windows to in cc

how u defeat warriors? i get off one death coil but they immune to fear got nothing to cast xcept corruption and agony then drain life
cast immolate or searing pain, if they kick you on Fire, cast shadow bolt. drain life, or shadowburn. Engineering also helps.

You must consider it not only does 50 percent more damage for 50 percent longer. Apply that to your equation and you'll find it's true effect. If it did 100 over time an amplified version does 225.

For that you want SM/Ruin. Your shadowbolt still hits hard, and you're very viable in PvP, if lacking the survivability from Soul link. You can raid with this specc, while it's fun and good for PvP too. It's also your go-to leveling specc.

@@danielhernandez2575 which is sm ruin. You go into affliction first, and then into destro after 40. Has always been the optimal leveling spec. So far as wrath at least.

Thoughts on R13 gear as lock? If you compare it to Mage, it's garbage, literally only stam, int and some spell damage.
It's not too bad, bwl gear is semi comparable though. I just think r13 set looks so good on ally and horde.

luargambino I think it is. A 30% chance to resist stuns can save you a lot but WOTF is good too so either choice would work fine.

I got 33 keybinds on my lock + mouse. So 36. 12345+shift+ctrl thats 15, then add EQRTFX+shift+ctrl 18 more. Warlock life, you get used to it

The question is... warlock or mage for pvp?
They both have pros and cons, both are quite strong for pvp. mages have a very high skill ceiling, they control the battlefield through their blink/slow/poly etc, but are super squishy, they have excellent aoe potential for groups but you have to get in the thick of it. When you fail as a mage its _usually_ your fault. Warlocks in contrast have very little maneuverability (you've basically gotta face-tank enemies), but much bigger health pools (plus healthstones!). DOTs and fear are legit amazing in 1v1, and for blanketing big bg groups, and as a bonus your pve tier gear doubles as pvp gear. I'll be running a lock for classic launch but its been a hard decision :(
I got high warlock with destruction/affection build back in vanilla just be careful of rogues.

Try for more damage. Get up dots right away including immolate. Start casting searing pain or use coil or try to fear him to get the cd out of the way early. Have you been using felhunter pet and using CS on shadow school? Also dispel yourself of his dots if you think you are undergeared. You can also use a spellstone, great for countering magic players.

yeah sure until fear gets resisted. Also fear has a decent cast time if someone is on top of you
personally i like AFTERMATH. its a low chance to daze but daze is so god damn good its not funny.
in vanilla we don't have daze on conflag like in TBC so its our only slow other than gay ass curse of exhaustion which is pretty shitty tbh sorry to say.
