Hey SMASH FISHING. long time viewer and supporter. one tip for your abalone, either rub them with lemon juice or
rub them in the sand and they will clean up 10X better than using a "brillow" pad or any other method.
Also to the odd hard swimmer fins you ran across on the female, that was probably a female close to her molting, she had developed hard fins to shed her molt.

I'm a Florida native. I've only had California abalone a couple of times but I think it's very like queen conch or large whelks. In any case, it's gourmet quality good food. You guys undervalue your limpets though. In Hawaii, they are considered a delicacy and are overharvested. At least when I was there. Clean them and broil the meat in the shell with a bit of garlic and butter. The larger limpets are, of course, better. Keep up the good work. I enjoy all your videos.

I would love to go coastal foraging !! I Loved walking the beaches looking for shells when I was in Florida though not much foraging can be done. unfortunately there are no beaches in kentucky where I live. Poor me lol. Thank you for making the videos I feel like I am coastal foraging every time you and Sam make a video.

Hey, guys...Did you know there is an I expensive way to fix holes in your waders? I used to help my father fix them with bicycle inner tube patches with rubber cement. He grew up in the Great Depression in America and learned how to make do with inexpensive methods. I would imagine the patch kits could still be found. Love watching your explorations through the tidal pools as well as how you cook up your catch!

When you took a bit of that lobster smash man,it sounded crisp like celery I'd eat more of it but it's so expensive,$14-22 bucks a lb. Abalone is $40-50 a lb.same with king crab from alaska$18-25 a lb. Nice forage today...cheers

Can you take the little verbs? I’ve seen them purge them over night. Then clean . Pop in seasoned cornflower...then in to very hot oil. Cook Well the scrunch everything!! Make sure you have 3-4 dip ready. Again eat as soon as cool enough.
