Just finished watching this John & I must say that this is the best UK based sea angling channel on RUclips bar none, is there anything you can't catch? Catching octopus is one thing but catching them by design is another UK first, also knowing how they are going to attack the bait & the signs to look for is not something most watching RUclipsrs would have any clue about, I've heard you mention a few times that every day is a school day, well we're all being schooled by you every time you release a video!! Can't wait for the next one!!

Greetings from across the pond (Barnegat, NJ). Started taking my son out fishing at age 3. That was 31 years ago. Now he runs the boat and all I have to do is concentrate on the fish. Very much enjoy your videos and I wish you as much joy as I have experienced over the years fishing with my son.

Another excellent video John 👍. Fair play for teaching your young lad fishing. My father has had boats since he was 13, I am not kidding, and he taught me to fish, collect bait etc when I was very young. It's now more than 30 years later and still the best skills anyone has ever taught me. You should be very proud to be doing the same for your lad. Awesome, thank you! I love when you show us the critters up close. I think octopus are so fascinating, and intelligent. The little video of a star fish on the bottom was interesting. I don’t remember what kind of fish was swimming around, but it looked like it was blinking! Lol. I thought, “Wait, fish don’t have eyelids!”

im reall glad youve taken your son out foraging and fishing. he seems like he likes it, but its also important for children to learn about marine ecology at young age. he'll be able to use these teachings to provide for himself and also respect nature just as you do :)
- I have honestly been waiting since before our son was born to be able to teach him these things. I hope he develops a love for nature and the outdoors as I have, as it has brought me such joy throughout my life. :D
