my cousin used to work for Tao Phil from 2009-2013, I think he's one of the original crews and he know Kuya Oli. (Finally I got to see Kuya Oli's face, as I just know him through my cousins stories only, thanks Fin) He left Tao Phil when Yolanda hit the Philippines and their boat sunk and one of the crews died. He got scared as he just got married and about to start a family that's why he decided to left. I remember his wedding full of foreigner guests.
When they're on an expedition they would always drop by in our barangay which is Maroyogroyog, and we would say "woww foreigner!" cos they were very rare sight to see before in Linapacan(Not anymore). Now I think they have a base camp already in 'Baras na Maite' one of the small sitio in Maroyogroyog. I am so missing Palawan, can't wait to go home this New Yr. Thanks for this beautiful Fin can't wait to see the next episodes.

I did the TAO trip twice in my life. One time in 2011 and I loved it so much, I knew I would do it again someday. So I returned in 2016 :) and it was even better. Great vid!

I returned from the Philippines a short time ago, I was there for 3 weeks (the best 3 weeks of my life) and I even went to a bar in El Nido where you were at that moment but I was ashamed to ask you to take a picture with me ;) because you are one of the reasons I fell in love with the Philippines with your vlogs about the country and I admire your work immensely.

Mad respect for what Tao Expedition are doing. I hope they build more traditional paraw sailing ships though. The one they have is beautiful. Doesn't matter if it's a hybrid sailing ship with an engine for emergencies. It's high time we revive the one thing we did best before we forget it forever: sail.
This is great story not just the beauty of Palawan but the amazing people and culture of the Philippines. You inspired me to do this and experience the Islander adventure. You should do more like this Finn. I wish ABS-CBN or Phil Tourism will give you a big break in making documentaries and short films about Philippines, Filiinos, and bakit Pinas. FYI, @finnsnow I forwarded this videos to my friends and families esp those in Palawan. In Palawan, they have a good curse of "come back come back" syndrome and that's how I got married a great Palawenya. You should explore Narra, Palawan esp the Estrella Falls, Arena Island-Sea Turtle Sanctuary, and Cockatoo Sanctuary Island. If you do, let me know and I will coordinate it with local government unit and introduce you to the Mayor of Narra. More power to you and can't wait for your Siargao adventure.

Sushi 😋 sort of. Was the raw fresh fish with sauce tasty? I used to try to catch fish just line fishing... No luck 😅 Thank you Tao expedition for inviting Finn to this adventure and fortunately he got well in time from that typhoid scare to go! 😎 Beautiful scenery especially the boat heading towards the islands and the playful dive for the GoPro😍 The bamboo-nipa huts and no electricity are a novelty for many people now. It's the best way to get to know other people and around the fire hearth too😊❤️ you can really appreciate all that is there around you.💗 I know the feeling of not knowing traffic lights and learning about sidewalks/pavements for walking, not the middle of the road 😆

I do really love this video. i see some snippets from the movie, "waterworld by kevin costner". I would like to call this a TAO Expedition documentary" because you're documenting(i guess) Oli's struggle, happiness, future and even his very, very emotional story about their nearly death experiences as an islander. Hopefully, no one will disturb that island...i mean..no one introduce any outside world gadgets..This is the place where you can train yourself to go back in time without electricity, celphones, radio, tv. You only have neighbors, primitive tools, primitive books(educational). This is the right place for those who wants to refresh their thoughts and to answer the question, "can i live my life to the fullest without gadgets?" Thanks for the video. I'm not from Palawan but i do love to see my country explored by many...😊
Wow! Beautiful island . My family visited Palawan last year. We spent few days in Puerto Princesa and El Nido. We loved tour A in El Nido. Nacpan beach is an awesome place and it wasn’t crowded and still underdeveloped which we very much appreciate.
