You are definitely an amazing person this is the first time that I’ve ever heard crop sensor describes so beautifully I want to see more videos like this
Thank you so much! I have the 50mm (80mm in the Canon t6i) and I love it except for trying to do a self portrait. For taking portraits of others it’s great. Definitely going to try the 24mm and maybe the 250mm.
I own 80D and I'm planning to get 85mm f1.8 for portrait and food shots. Do you suggest me to get 85mm f1.8 or 50mm f1.4? or suggest me any other good lens
try both, get the Samyang 85mm f1.4, good value. I achieve pleasing results with Canon 50mm f1.4 on a Canon 80D. Canon 85mm f1.8 takes a bit of patience, care & thought. Results, however, can be superb.
9 years ago I wondered why my 50mm lens was so damn long when I bought it for my Canon 7D. It was designed for a full frame. It was like a nifty 80mm......!! Never used it.
Do you need to apply a crop factor to EF-S lenses for aps-c cameras or do they already take the crop into account when defining the focal length? i.e. is an ef-s 18-55mm lens actually 18-55 or is it 28.8-88 mm? Thanks in advance
would you say if i use 16-35mm on a crop sensor, would i still be able to get enough from the surrounding if i hold the camera and vlog? like what lens were you using for this video and how far was the camera? thanks Katie
16mm on a crop sensor should be wide enough for vlogging! in this video I was using the 24mm and the camera was like, maybe three feet away from my face? if I remember correctly
Hi can someone help me, my wife is newish to photography and has a Canon 90d 15-55mm standard lens and has a cropped sensor 1.5, (whatever that mean) she wants to buy the Irix 15 - 2.4 wide angle lens .. The question is will the Irix add "wide angle" compared to the standard lens she has ? Is the 500 euro worth it ? She thinks it may not add much more side angle depth to the photo than with the standard lens she got with the camera .. If anyone can help wld be greatly appreciated 🙏
Centi Metre its hard to figure out what lens to get for my crop sensor, I want a wide angle but I like cropped too soo a zoom lens but not too much zoom, idk what to look for!
@@eyzhuh_studios I have a old 55-250 Lens and it works well as a zoom, For reference, standing still in the dead of night, I was able to take a photo of the moon with the moon in great detail.
You've really got to think, do I want landscape photography or do I want subject photography. Landscape, go for the wide angel lens, and subject (but not portrait) go for the zoom lens
If you’re using a canon EF-S lens on a crop sensor then you don’t multiply it by 1.6 because it’s made specifically for a crop sensor camera. That rule only applies if your using a EF lens on a APSC sensor camera (a full frame lens on crop sensor camera)
True!! But here she is talking about EF variant and the one she showed was Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 which is the only Canon 50 mm lens available in most countries.. At least I cudnt find 50 mm EF-S f/1.8 in India and various other countries' Amazon..

Thanks Katie! This was really helpful for my RUclips channel!!!!❤️
Cool video thanks. very easy to understand. For short films would you recommend the 24mm or 50mm?
start with the 24mm - especially if you're in tight spaces that will help you out a lot :)
@@katie Thank you for the advice, much appreciated :)
what is the best and cheapest, widest angle lens for the Canon 80D? I have the 18-135mm lens but that is not wide enough for what I wanna do.
Wow, first time I learned about crop vs full. Thank you!
This was so helpful. I have the 80d and had no idea what this meant! thanks for clearing that up!
I'm glad this video was helpful! Let me know if you ever have any other questions about the 80D I could address in a video :)

Good lens overview, and a very comfortable presentation style!
I love my 50 mm and 24 mm are my go to’s for my Rebel T6 crop censor camera
Same here

Right second time 28.8-88mm

70-200 mm III possible to use canon 80d?
Is it worth to buy 80D in 2018 ?
Hell yes!, Ive got 1 and Im about to buy another
The 80D is your tool! Learn it and master it. It can be and is a great buy!
Hell yeah it is, i have a 70D and the camera is still awesome.
which one is better between nikon d7200 and Canon 80d for photography?
Thanks for the info 👍
thanks for watching!
Do people even use t6i anymore? Thats what I have and I feel left behind lol
I use the t6i, it's not about the gear I've learned, it's about the photographer.
If you wanna upgrade, upgrade the lens not the body

No.... 24mm on your crop is more like an 35mm
Sante I AM I’m pretty. Sure a 24mm EF-S lens is made for a crop sensor camera so it should be a true 24mm.
Walt Manuel lol, sorry. I was completely wrong with that statement.
The Beard Dream it’s okay lol. It’s confusing- why they even make lenses specifically for crop sensors if they are still going to be cropped.

The 50mm 1.8 STM version is sexy
Full frame doesn’t automatically equal better quality pictures...

Ähm. Nope
You still must multiply 1.6 to ef-s lenses to get full frame equivalent field of view.
hello
You're nice and beautiful
