In my first sitting I didn’t stop until I got to starting the back legs. The next day I finished. It then decided to grenade itself so I spent another hour supergluing stuff. Like ALL the vents and the vent looking part that connects the big cannons to the main body.
Ahh man, that's a bummer! I will say, if you do more and get the chance, have a go with revells contacta professional, it dries slower than super, but it works best on models due to acetone being a main ingredient, it melts the pieces together, so if used neatly it turns out a bit more nicer and doesn't the risk of leaving white stains that can occur using super. Great to see you picked it up though! It's awesome looking!
@@Beastsbuilds when I resort to superglue I use as little as I can get away with. I mean I just squeeze a little onto a tissue to get the flow started and then tap the tip of the bottle a couple times to get just the tiniest amount. I also don’t use superglue where it can be seen. Every one of these Zoids HMM kits I’ve had to superglue something at some point. I’d say the one I had to glue the most other than the ligers because these kits need it was the gunsniper. It’s a small kit but that neck falls apart looking at it.
Yeah that checks out man, sadly they're creeping towards 20 years old (shield/blade) and probably need new tooling. The gunsniper definitely needs glue, they have a bunch pieces that come off easily 8(
@@Beastsbuilds What I wonder about are how the polycaps will hold out. From what I hear not well. If they don’t that’s a lot of clear nail polish in the ligers as well. Although the Gogulas caps seem to hold up over the years. I’m looking forward to the Salamander HMM kit coming out. Whenever it does. Maybe that Guysak as well. I’m planning of getting the new death Saurer at some point. Although that’s not a kit. But the one I really want and have wanted for years and years to come out is the madthunder. Gogulas is my personal favorite Zoid. I already have the Ogre. It took 6 days to put together. Very little gluing. However, Madthunder is the close second. I hesitated spending $300 USD on Golgulas. No hesitation for madthunder.
Sadly I wouldn't say the caps last forever, in a lot of the new kits they use ABS for some of the capping which is better imo, it would at least last longer. I'm definitely keen on the Guysak, very keen!@@fatefinger
I myself don't mind the cheesiness of older shonen anime. Especially the ones from the 90's and early 2000's. There's a certain charm to the way they were made back then. Miss that era of anime. They don't make em like used to.
I still like it, though it felt really jarring, as though it might be poorly translated. That being said I'm not overly familiar with anime! I do love the art though 😅
@@Beastsbuilds If you want to maybe check out some mecha anime that aren't quite so kiddy, contrived and with decent production value charming artstyle and top notch animation, you could look into Gundam. I'd highly recommend Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans, Gundam 00 or Gundam Unicorn. You might like them as both the story and action in all 3 are a lot more grounded than those elements might be in other more "animeish" mecha anime.
Oh the black and gold battery operated liger? I would love to if they made a HMM or full model kit of it, but I don't tend to pick up any of the mechanical moving kits sadly. They're very one-off for me 8(

Could you please get that Fist of the North Star wild liger model kit that's coming out soon and do a review on it? Would love to see that!

I like the figures from Cat's Paradise Nekopara :)
